Hi All, we have a large number and variety of samsung devices with both Android Plus and Android enterprise agents. The majority have SOTI kiosks on them but we see that many are not ever receiving firmware updates. On my personal phone i get a prompt to download and install firmware updates. Would the SOTI kiosk block this behaviour ? we do not use EFOTA services Thanks in advance!

We are using version: 15.2.4 Today, I have setup a new group which includes rights to: View and manage profiles View and manage Packages ... When I login with a user from that group, I can create new profiles and do all I need to do with it.BUT I cannot see any of the existing profiles. Is this a bug or did I overlook something?

Is there any way to retrieve passwords set for profiles which use Lockdown/Authentication? I've got full access to the MobiControl database, is it possible to recover a given password? If not, then it would be useful to be able to somehow have a "superadmin" password. We've had a few devices which were not connected to a network, and therefore couldn't fetch a new password definition, and we couldn't update the WiFi settings because we couldn't log into the device! I want to display link on lockdown page to open a .htm file on a windows share we do this on our older windows mobile devices such as: \\networkshare\test.htm the first time accessing the link a login to the share is requested where the user will put in their username\password and have that saved so the next time they want to .htm page viewed it will not ask for anything. when I put in this same link on my lockdown page, android OS I get a: webpage not available could not be loaded because: net:ERR_INVALID_URL what do I need for this to work like it did on the windows devices thanks
When trying to install a new on-prem server with MobiControl 15.4.1 Build 4828 on a Microsoft Server 2019, where the DB is located on a separate Server 2016 with SQL Server 2016 SP3 we face an error during the installation phase. We are investigating upgrading our fleet of devices. Previously we have used a third party app to automatically answer phone calls from contacts and turn speaker phone on. In Android 11 all the apps I have investigated so far are unable to turn the speaker phone on automatically. Does anyone have any tips to help achieve this? The units are connected to a bluetooth peripheral that is not a headset so I cannot set auto answer via tablet settings. Unfortunately it is not feasible for the operators to take their eyes off the road to turn speaker phone on. We are using Galaxy Tab Active Tab 3 with Android 11.
In after AE enrollment some times the android identity is not assigned and we are getting an error Error message received from device (Managed Google Play Account Status:'PLAY_STORE_NOT_FOUND') I have given a command for reset command and checkin also but same issue.
Hi, We need to disable private mac address for our wireless profiles for iPadOS but I can't seem to find the setting. May I know is this possible by SOTI? If I look at Wi-Fi MDM settings from apple, it seems that setting can be tuned. Do I need to write a custom profile for it? Grateful if anyone can advise on the matter, thank you. Although Camera Enable switch is set on, Soti Surf does not take this camera permission into account. A user has to allow camera manually every time a webpage accesses the camera. At Safari, there are three options at the Settings: Ask, Disable and Enable. Ones it is enabled, Safari stops showing the prompt. (Surf only has two options - Disable and Enable).
I am looking for a good method to enroll my ZEBRA VC8300 terminal to a SOTI Mobicontrol console. Currently my method does not seem optimized, after a FactoryReset, I pass all the first steps manually (human action) Once started under the "Home" Android menu, I have to activate the serial port of the machine from the APP "VC Setting" in order to use a scanner and thus the StageNow application to finish my enrollment. The two problems that block the usual method, from the first menu after a FactoryReset : The Google enrollment menu (7 taps from the start menu) does not seem to work, due to the fact that the machine does not have a camera. If I connect a scanner in USB, the reading of the QrCode "ByPass GMS Setup Wizard" which allows me to pass the first steps and launch StageNow does not work. an idea?
