I am trying to enroll some Samsung Galaxy Tab A's with our Android Enterprise profile. The add device setup has "Usage Access" "Modify system settings" and "draw over other apps" set to accept silently, but it doesn't appear to be working. It is still prompting us to allow them manually. We are on Mobicontrol Version: 15.4.0.4737 Agent V 15.0.0.1110 Anyone have an ideas why?
When editing a profile, and you select save and assign, and add a new device/device group, what happens to pre-existing device/device groups that are already selected? Does the profile get sent to those existing devices and re-installed? Or does SOTI detect the profile already exists and bypasses those device/device groups?
We use several sub groups. I am looking for a way to restrict who can see what sub groups.
Hello Soti Forum, we have quite a few Zebra MC33 in use. Previously, these were delivered with Android 8, but in the past there were problems with the connection to Soti. For this reason, a downgrade to Android 7.1.2 was made at that time before installation. In the meantime, the installations with Android 8 have mostly worked again, but we now have 80 devices that still have an Android 7.1.2. Can you tell me what the best method would be to upgrade these devices as stress-free as possible for us and the users? I don't like to send users a list of barcodes where they set the device with to factory settings, etc.At best, they should be aware of the upgrade as little as possible. I just found out, that there is a button for "Migrate to Android Enterprise" + I have found 'This is possible with Zebra Android devices. You'll need to first transfer the firmware files to the device via a Package or a File Sync Rule. install_system_update /sdcard/YOURUPDATE.zip' Sounds not so bad. A best practise solution would be helpful then 🙂 Is there a script that can be sent to the device to install the update and at best not reset everything? I would be very grateful for any tips. Hello, is there a way to read values from Mobicontrol using JavaScript, please? A user wants to somehow enter an IP address, which will be copied to xml file by JavaScript. The ways to enter it: Example 1 - User creates a custom atrribute %NEW_IP% and fills it with IP 10.11.12.13Example 2 - User creates a device name e.g. ABC_10.11.12.13Example 3 - ... other ways? Has anyone been successful in removing files from their MobiControl server that is hosted by SOTI in a method other than manually? I am using two file sync rules to ferry files between two devices. The files do not need to accumulate. They are sent, processed and removed on the receiving device. The first file sync rule moves the files correctly to the hosted server file store and deletes the files from the source once successfully uploaded. Works wonderfully. The second file sync rule copies the files to the destination device, but there is no method for removing the files from the hosted server file store within the rule setup as there was with the first rule due to the direction of file transmission (Server to device). I have already received the standard SOTI technical support response on this which is to go to Global Settings -> File System manager and manually remove the files. This means removing files one at a time from the assigned folder OR deleting the folder and then adding it back (dumps the whole folder contents when folder is deleted). I am canvasing this forum to see if anyone has come up with a neat workaround for the lack of functionality in the file sync rule setup. I would much prefer a method to handle this on a daily basis or per some sort of schedule than to have to manually remove files (time is money). I have already tried creating a "post sync script" and it will not work. Scripts only function on the end devices and will not affect the hosted server. Please note: the server is hosted by SOTI. It is not a server I loaded MobiControl on that I have any access to whatsoever. I cannot create a batch file or script to perform this as I do not have that type of access to SOTI's Server.
I am testing mobicontrol as a potential support tool for a clients roll out of M3 SM15X devices and I have an SM15N device for my testing. I have manged to enrol my SM15N (Android V7.1.1) device and I can remote control it using the M3 SM10 profile and this works fine. When trying to use the same solution for the SM15X (Android 8.1.0) devices there is no option for Remote Control, only remote view. How can I get remote control working for the SM15X devices?
I have a couple of devices, android plus, OEM Agents currently on 14.5.5, I have updated the agent compatibility on the server so the devices are showing that they need an agent upgrade.However, it doesn't matter how many times I click Upgrade Agent, they just will not upgrade. The devices have plenty of space, and battery charge. Any ideas of how to resolve this please

Hi, I migrated our on-prim MobiControl server to an on-prim cloud service server. I added the new server address as the secondary deployment server in the MobiControl admin application so the devices would connect once the old server was shut down. Some of our sites didn't power on there unused devices as instructed and the secondary/new server address didn't get pushed the those devices. Is there any particular file (PBI.INI) I can edit to reflect the secondary address (new server address) or do I have to wipe MobiControl and re-enroll those devices? These are all old Windows CE devices. Thanks,

Motorola MC55A0 & MC5590 disconnected from SOTI server after migrate SOTI server to AWS. These devices are offline and not connecting to SOTI server even after connected network\WIFI. What could be the reason and how to fix it to make it these devices get connected again to our SOTI server. These are on OS Windows Mobile /CE and version 5.2 Also wanted to know is there any process , config to switch the WIFI network from one SSID to another SSID without any impacts.

Hi, I have a problem with the collected data location feature where the data in the logs is not the same as the one in the collected data location.as shown in the logs, there is a data location recorded at 2:32:07 AM but when you check the collected data location, the data is empty as shown in the collected data image.
