Hi All, We've recently decided to move towards Soti and are currently preparing the environment but we're wondering if we can use a service account to setup managed enterprise? Walking through the bindings it seems the only possibility is by adding it through the Google authentication screen but service accounts aren't accepted there. I would like to prevent we need to create a separate account outside of our Google Enterprise environment to get this working? Reason for the managed enterprise binding is the dedicated devices we want to provision with some public and private play store apps which reside in the organisations Google Enterprise play store.
Hello, we have a problem with phone calls that are launched through our sos app. In case of an alarm, there is an option to automatically call a predefined number for the first response to the victim. We used this feature many times before with other devices also in kiosk mode. The only difference to the device right now is that the current one is enrolled with android enterprise and not with andoid plus like the others before. It seems like the problem lies within kiosk mode because when I'm on the standard android home screen and launch the app the automatic call works perfectly fine again. Then switching to kiosk mode again and doing the exact same thing, the phone call doesn't work. I've noticed that the alarm sound (siren) during the alarm is interrupted 10 sec after the start of the alarm. The same thing happens when the call is started out of kiosk mode. So it seems like it's getting canceled by kiosk. Any ideas whats the problem here? OS Version is android 9, device type and manufacturer is i.safe Mobile IS330.1 Mobicontrol Version is 15.2.4.1138
Can anyone confirm any recent changes to Android Enterprise enrollment for Zebra devices? Maybe I missed something somewhere, but I just AE-enrolled a Zebra TC52 and never got prompted to enable "Modify system settings" or "Notification Access". When I compare devices two devices, one previously enrolled (i.e. months ago) vs today I notice some differences and consequences. Bad Device - New Enrollment Supported APIs Zebra RC Work Managed Device Android Zebra EMDK Plugin Version NOT INSTALLED Prompted on Device to Start Remote Control Session Good Device - Old Enrollment Supported APIs RC Virtual Display Work Managed Device Android Zebra EMDK Android Plus 1.6 Plugin Version 1.6.0.102 Everything else about the devices is identical. Looks like the issue is the plugin is failing to install during enrollment.
Good evening, we are running Server Version 15.1.3 We have over some iphone SE 2nd edition - iOS 14.2 We now use e sims but we have a problem with it. Before the change from Vodafone to Telekom and even with an actual physical Telekom sim card we would be able to see the telephone number in the device info. Now after the switch to e Sim we cant see the number anymore. We know the ICCID, the service provider but its somehow "annoying" to switch between systems to find the actual telephone number for a device. Is there something we can do to get back the telephone number? Kind regards

Hi there!I have updated Mobicontrol to Version: 15.3.0.6711 and now Legacy view does not work, it only shows a blank screen. For example, when I choose Rules under Configurations, it should switch to Legacy view but only shows a blank or white screen. Please advise.
Hi, Our on-premise server is still running on a SHA1 root certificate. Since Android 10 and higher must use a SHA2 certificate, we have to generate a new certificate. I need information on what the best situation is to change the root certificate without causing problems with the existing devices that are already enrolled. How would this work?
We have a scenario where users will need to remove and reinstall an app on the iPhone. I was planning to use the app catalog webclip for this, however I am finding that the status of the apps does not update. For example, I have removed the app, but in the app catalog it still shows as installed and it's not possible to resinstall. Is it possible to force a refresh of this on the device? Is there another way to achieve this? We would like to keep the phones locked down as much as possible. I had hoped setting the app to mandatory would cause it to automatically reinstall after deletion but it doesn't seem to.

Hello, for enrolling new android devices, does the internet access for the device is required for enroll it or it can be done with only connection to SOTI server (on-premises) also does the internet access for the server is needed?

Hi, We have added a button to our lockdown that opens a web link in chrome. the command for the button is intent:<URL>#Intent;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;end this works as expected and opens the correct URL. the user has to log in to the webpage which they can do fine. The issue is that the website isnt very good and the logout doesn't log them out fully. If you go back to the lockdown screen and then click the button again then you browse to the link but the website still thinks you are logged in so bypasses the login screen and then falls over because the session has timed out. the only way i can clear is to delete the browser cache and data. This isnt ideal for the end user. The end user cannot close the browser either. also when they go back into chrome it opens another tab so you end up with lots of tabs. we have added another button to the lockdown called logout that runs a script on the device with kill_application com.android.chrome wipeapplication com.android.chrome the kill works but then has an effect on the device where when you press on the screen, the device thinks you have pressed elsewhere on the screen the wipe does not seen to do anything We are using honeywell EDA51 with work profiles in mobicontrol. any help much appreciated thanks gareth
