We recently upgraded the Cloud Instance of our Mobicontrol v15.1.1 However, we are experiencing issues with the Cloud Link Agent 2.0 (CLA) on our locally hosted Windows Server 2012 R2 box. We cannot get the LDAP and ADCS boxes to get checked/enabled as seen in screenshot below: I spun up test VMs running Windows Server 2012 R2 on my home lab, same issue. Is there any way to get CLA 2.0 to work on this OS? Can you provide us a version of the CLA that works with this OS and is compatible with Mobi 15.1.1? Our VM fulfills the minimum requirements as posted on the SOTI help page. SOTI minimum requirements for CLA 2.0: https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.1/en/cloudlink/configure/system_requirements.html CLA 2.0 download: http://download.soti.net/tools/CloudLinkAgentInstaller_v2.0.msi
I have created a user in "Manage users" and authorization Mobicontrol Administrators but I can't use the initialized user information to login SOTI MobiControl. Sorry I'm not good at English Thanks all! https://i.imgur.com/7ZyuY98.png https://i.imgur.com/diXOtex.png
Good Evening. I am running Samsung Tab A 8.0. All are Android+ ELM enrollments. Now we had and issue with a ROOT cert because some of these upgraded to OS10 and the server was running SHA1 and not SHA256. So we got SOTI on the phone really quick they got that all straightened up. Then.. We started hearing whispers that something done today broke the script: writesecureprofstring DeviceFeature DisableLockScreenShortcuts 1 apply featurecontrol Now if I rerun on a TAB running 8.1.0 the script will do as it is expected to do. However if I send that same script to a TAB running OS9 then I got a return of: DisableLockScreenShortcuts unsupported. Did the command change from 8.1 to 9?
Hi all, I’m having some issues with the SOTI API that I’m hoping the community can help out with because the documentation is not being very helpful. The goal we’re trying to accomplish is using the API to move a set of 6 devices from each of our facility locations to a different folder. Per the documentation the API method we should be using is POST /devicegroups/{path}/members. I've tried a few different ways but it almost always returns 403 Forbidden error with "Message": "Unauthorized access or invalid reference to specified object" or a 404 Not Found. I am able to run some basic commands like getting folder details or device details: GET <instanceID>.mobicontrolcloud.com/MobiControl/api/devicegroups/referenceIds:reference_id GET <instanceID>.mobicontrolcloud.com/MobiControl/api/devices/device_id From that, I assume I should be doing the following to move the device to the reference_id below but it's not working for me. POST <instanceID>.mobicontrolcloud.com/MobiControl/api/devicegroups/referenceIds:reference_id/<device_id(s)> I’ve also tried it with and without the /members/ in between the new path and device IDs as well as the following in the body as JSON: POST <instanceID>.mobicontrolcloud.com/MobiControl/api/devicegroups/referenceIds:reference_id/<device_id(s)> { "path": "referenceIds:reference_id", "deviceIds": ["device_id"] } I get the following error when using the body method: { "$type": "ErrorDetails", "ErrorCode": 0, "Message": "Contract validation failed", "Data": [ "deviceGroup.Name: Name is a required field." ], "HelpLink": null } Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Am I misunderstanding the documentation?
Hi,has anyone encountered an issue where when other app is trying to access SOTi issued user certificate and android is asking to set pin or password to access credential storage? Android 7 enrolled as Android + worked, but after upgrading device to android 8 and enrolling as Android Enterprise this issue appeared. Is it fault in new security settings in android 8 or soti app permissions? Would it be possible for SOTI to allow access to credential storage without PIN for some apps? Device TC51 running 02-32-04.00-OG-U01-STD OS 8.1.0Agent 14.3.0.1000A+ Service for Zebra - 1.6.0.102 SOTI Version: 14.3.4.1087
Hi All, Has anyone managed to create a Azure logic App custom creator with SotiMobicontrol? From MS's documentation I should be able to test the API in Postman and then export from Postman in to Azure. Postman connects without any issues and posts back the data we're calling. If someone has done it, could they give me a helping hand? Thanks!
Hi all, We using Enterprise devices. Around 8 apps download from the Managed Play Store. All are set to mandatory. The issue we are seeing now after updating the server to 15.2 is that on the first two devices staged. One did not install WhatsApp and the second did not install Soti Surf. The Agent Version is 14.1.1 Build 1050 Any Suggestions would be grateful. Regards Martin Doyle
Hello, In the Online help for 15.2 there is just the requirement of SQL Server 2016 SP2 CU1 or 2017, but in reality the Installer gives out an error if the SQL Server 2017 is not on Patchleve CU8: "Please install SQL Server 2017 Cumulative Update 8 or later and restart the installation..." This should be mentioned in the Requirements, as it could be a bigger issue were an external SQL Server is used and the customer has to upgrade it to this Patchlevel first. I know this is already mentioned here https://discussions.soti.net/thread/update-to-v-15-2-from-15-1-2-1035/ but i wanted to focus on the new requirement Martin
Receive error when installing an updated package as version 2.0. Package set to overwrite the old files or if they do not exist. Figured out many long ways around this issue (remove lock down option from profile, manually delete old files, etc), but too time consuming for the number of devices. Can you provide a script that will remove the files from the scanner before the updated package is installed?
Hello, i am running MobiControl version 15.1.2.1035 on premise We are using the instance for about 2 months now. We added our ldap for the enrollment andto login on the web console. Out of nowhere some ldap users are not able to login anymore. I checked some users and somecan login and some get the error message "Invalid credentials, please try again!" I tried to delete the ldap user and add him again. But made no difference. Then i tried to restartall services but didn't helped too. Then i tried to create a new ldap user and add him to mobicontrol. Even the new ldap user wasnot able to login. Then i checked the logs. The logs kinda irritated me because it was saying different error messagesbefore and after i restarted the services. At first it was saying that the user is using the wrong credentials and that he should use the correct ldapcredentials to login using domain\username. And later it was saying that there is no access right definedfor that user. That does not make sense because he is part of the admin group in MC with full rights. There were no changes in the ldap database for those users. No one touched the configurations on theserver, ldap server or withing mobicontrol. So has someone an idea how i could fix this? EDIT: requests from the api no longer work either
Hi Our server is going to be moved and the internal and external IP will change. Do anybody have any experience with this? I would like to know where can if the phones are check-in address, to see if its either DNS or IP? I was wondering to add a secondary end-point (DNS name) for the phones to check into for the new server and set the name to point to the server after migration? if it's possible to have two check-in address? (where one of them is not working, hopefully you understand :-) ) We are running Android plus clients in lockdown-mode (CAT S41), it's a signal server with mobicontrol on it. FYI
Hi i am just now to Soti and i am working on the setup for my phones. I am looking to Lock a browser down to a white list of approved sites but still retain the ability to store passwords for Websites. I can save passwords in Chrome but i cant fine a way to set a White List, only seem to be able to run a black list. In Soti Surf i can run a whitelist but i can not save passwords for a website. Does anyone have any idead how i could achieve this?
We have a managed (DEP) iPhone - on the Device Statuses under Device Details, Supervised "yes" but Activation Lock "no". Therefore, I could not "Bypass Activation Lock" before wipe. Now, the phone is asking for the "Apple ID/pwd that were used to set up this phone". Are there any ways at all to get past this Activation Lock screen? All this time I thought that we would not hit this "blockage" if an Apple device was supervised, but I guess I was wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
When connecting to a device, the following error appears: No one is connected at this time. How long will it take to log in again?
Hi Anyone know if Samsung XCover 4's and various models of Samsung Tablets can support SHA256 certificates along with 2048 bits key size. We have some new tablets at Android 10 and have discovered we need to upgrade Mobi to a later version in order to support devices running Android 10 but need to know if the existing devices can support this. Thanks Michael
