Profile not applying on Android+ Device - Error message received from device (Internal storage decryption not supported)

Hi, I am trying to apply a profile to a TC75X Android+ device but I am having issues applying the profile and getting changes to apply on the device. I managed to get the device to apply the profile by removing it from the folder and adding it again but now any changes I make to the profile, nothing happens on the device and it just says "Pending Install". I just checked the Logs and we're receiving error message "Error message received from device (Internal storage decryption not supported)" This is happening on multiple devices.

    Best practice for stolen devices

Hi everyone, We are using SOTI MobiControl Cloud to manage our Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 devices running on Android 7. Earlier this week we got word that one of users had his tablet stolen (the first in over 2 years of our tablet rollout project). Until now we had not set up any profiles or rules to deal with such an occurrence, therefore it is something I am currently looking into now.  I've done some research and the best I can see is Out of Contact profiles can be set to delete the device when it has not communicated with SOTI in a certain time frame. Unfortunately I am not able to push this policy out to all of our devices as devices can be out of contact for different time frames due to the rotation/shifts of our users.  My idea was to create a "Lost and Stolen" folder and then apply an Out of Contact rule which runs a wipe command or several scripts that will turn off wifi/bt/radios, uninstall specific apps, delete certain folders eg pictures/videos, and force the device to restart every 10 mins or so.... in other words basically be unusable for the thief. I would drag stolen devices into this folder as soon as it is reported to us in the IT department. My questions are: 1) What is the best practice for stolen or lost devices?  2) If I have an Out of Contact rule that executes a wipe script, will it do a complete factory reset or will the device still be enrolled and managed by SOTI after the wipe? I don't want to do a factory reset as this would make it even better for the thief to use it.  3) Would running several scripts that causes a nuisance for the thief by periodically rebooting, turning off wifi/bt/radios, etc the device be a better option? I want to brick the device so it can't be used again or at least make it very hard for your average Joe to utilise.  Any assistance on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

How to send a configuration file to CT50 internal storage ?

In my CT50(Android) i have some modified configurations. Now i want to send this configuraitons (xml files) to all my devices using SOTI.I exported this xml using Honeywell EZ config. In order to put this configuration in other devices, i have to place this xml in the 'Storage\IPSM card\honeywell\persist' folder . But when i tried to do this by intalling a package through my android profile, it doesn't work. The xml file doesn't appear in the device even after profile installation.  I guess the issue is that either SOTI don't have permission to write into this folder Or the destination path is not correct.I attach the screenshots. Please advise.   Ref: https://support.honeywellaidc.com/s/article/Persistent-scanner-and-wedge-settings-on-Android-Devices

Samsung ATT Tab A T387AA - Remote Control not working - all firmware updates applied

Hello, I have been working with the new WiFi only, Verizon and ATT Samsung Tab A models/devices. Both the WiFi Only and Verizon models received their firmware updates (2108-11-01 & 2018-10-01) and the remote control functionality works with SoTi afterwards.  On the ATT T387AA, i preformed all the available updates and verified on ATT website that it has the most recent version (Android Security Patch Level 2018-12-01). The remote control function is still not working using Android Plus or Enterprise, Web based or Plugin. I found another post referencing the issue and was advised to perform the updates but it is still not working.  Agent: 13.6.0.1476   Console: 14.2.2.1170 and 14.2.1.4394 Firmware: 8.1.0 Thank You Edgar Rodriguez

Fully managed device with work profile on SOTI Solved

Is it possible to setup the Samsung device with Android 8+ OS as Fully managed devices with work profile (COPE) without use of Samsung Knox container? The Google docs writes that should be available on Android 8+ devices. Is it possible to setup it on any Android 8+ device in SOTI? I can't find any information about it in documentation. Thanks for any information. Peter

How to fix remote control "waiting for screen"? Solved Locked

for some reason i cannot remote control any of our AT&T Samsung SM-T387AA android 8.1 tablets. they are enrolled with Android+. everytime i try to remote control them, i get stuck on "waiting For Screen". the screen will never load.  i am confused because we also have Verizon Tab E SM-T378V they were android 7.1 but we upgraded them to 8.1 and they work flawlessly. the remote connection always comes through with no issues. just the AT&T tablets never work.  both ATT and Verizon have the same enrollment type, same agent, and same profiles/rules assigned. the only difference is the physical tablet.  the agent version is 13.5.1 build 1044 (ELM Active MDM API Samsung MDM 5.7, Samsung Knox 3.0 (6.2.0) RC1 (1.8.0.102) does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks in advance!

Changing Android Lock Screen - Android Enterprise Solved

Hi I've been asked about setting the lock screen on our Samsung XCover 4 devices to show an "if found please contact..." message. There was a question a few months back but that related to Android+  ( https://discossions.soti.net/thread/push-wallpaper-to-zebra-tc75-devices-android-enterprise/ ) and was using writeprivateprofstring which is no longer supported. Is there another way I can either change the lockscreen background or update the Owner Information text (found in Settings menu on device and I could enter relevant contact details)
