Hi all - newbie to SOTI here. I'm trying to move the apps that are currently packaged and deployed to devices to syncing them with the Application Catalog/Google Play store. I'm doing some testing on our dev instance but doesn't seem to be working. The apps (Google Photos and Inkling) show up in the application catalog within Mobicontrol as an available app on the device but will not install. Is there a setting I'm missing? My SOTI-fu is not strong yet so apologies if I missed a previous post that answered this.

We run a fleet of Panasonic FZ-A2 devices configured as Android Enterprise. (Android 6.0.1, Build MMB29M.V1.01L32M0002) Whilst sitting down with one of our Application Developers, i watched him enable Android Developer Options one one of our devices. Wasn't expecting this to occur as my understanding (and previous experience) has me believing that this shouldn't be the case. ?? As such i went and tested a number of our recently re-provisioned devices and found that i could replicate this behavior. I then went and tested another device which hadn't had any recent device updates applied and found that Developer Options could not be enabled. From there, i updated the MobiControl Agent on the same device to Version 13.7.6 Build 1004. As soon as i did this, i found that Developer Options could now be enabled. (This morning I've updated to Agent Version 13.8.0 Build 1047 and this behavior still persists) Has anybody had similar a experience?? Am i correct in believing that Developer Options shouldn't be available with Android Enterprise? Thanks in advance
Does Soti support android 10. I can't seem to get pixel 3a to connect to enrollment server. Prior to android 10 update had no issues connecting Using afe#mobicontrol for install method and managed google play accounts
Hello, I'm wondering if there is a good way to query the EMM device details from an Android app in lockdown mode. For example, we would like our Android app, that is launched in lockdown mode, to get the device id, found in the device details in the console, and send it to our backend. I haven't found any good direct way to get this info from our app. The only idea I came up with was to have a script run during enrollment to create a file on the sdcard card with info and then have our app look for and read from this file to get the data stored. I'm not even sure if it's possible to have the script get the device id or device name, or if there are other issues with this process. I also thought I saw that there was a way to broadcast an intent, and maybe we could broadcast the info we want for our app to pickup and parse..? Maybe there is a way for our backend to query the Soti api's and somehow get the info that way? I'm relatively new to Soti and pretty much still in the evaluation stage, so I'm still feeling my way around the features. Any help or pointing me in the way to find the answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sterling
I would like to transfer some parameters of the app. It's a Chiperlab (Lagacy). As far as I read, it should be possible in the App Catalog to use the URI. What services should the app have so that I can take advantage of this opportunity?

Hello, is it in SOTI possible to read the BSP version of the devices (Zebra TC77) and move the devices automatically with a rule dependent on the BSP version into a another group? Example: If device 123 = version BSP 1.xx -> automatically in group "Update". If device 123 = version BSP 2.xx -> automatically in group "Update already done". SOTI Server: 14.3.3 Devices: Zebra TC77 (Andoid) Thank you. Daniel
Client wants to set up Soti to automatically send a reboot command once a week to all devices (around 1700 Android+.) Anyone else tried to do this? I would assume it would need to be some kind of automated script but I'm not sure how to set up and schedule it.. advise appreciated!
Hello, I'm trying to figure out why I keep losing the ability to Remote Control devices randomly. This randomly will happen to my devices and the only way to fix it is restarting the agent. Any ideas? Thanks, John
Hello ! I would like to deploy (manually for the moment and for testing purposes) a Certificates Profile that contains a PKCS#12 certificate (with a .p12 extension). I have the impression that this is not possible because once assigned, the profile does not deploy. It remains in a "Pending Install" status and I have an error message in the device logs : Error Device configuration failed ([Certificates] Configuration failed to apply) When I edit the profile and download the certificate provided (with .p12 extension), it downloads me a file in .cer extension. Maybe for security reasons, I don't know. How can I deploy my p12 file on a test device ? (MC server 14.3.3 - Android Enterprise DO) Thank you !
I bring up remote control, but the AppManager tool and Process Manager Tool are just about worthless. No ability to see or kill processes like all my previous devices. Can this be fixed? I have that issue on both Android Zebra devices VC80X and TC56
MobiControl 14.4, Samsung Tab A (SM-T378V), Android 8.1, Android For Work I have an in-house developed app that allows my end users to call the default camera app & take a picture of a document, crop it, adjust the brightness & contrast, then returns that image to the original app to upload to our proprietary system. My app and its ability to call the camera, take the picture and send the document all work fine with MobiControl installed & the device not in a LockDown profile. Once my Lockdown profile is enabled, my app is no longer able to launch the camera app. It returns to the LockDown /home screen whenever the user selects to launch the camera app. I took the device out of LockDown, and my app's permissions in Android settings are set to enabled for both camera & storage and these settings read "Enabled by Admin." Based on the response I saw here: https://discussions.soti.net/thread/how-do-i-enable-the-camera-app-and-gallery-while-the-device-is-in-lockdown-kiosk-mode-on-a-tc77/ I have tried creating a file sync rule that runs a script containing the following: "enable_system_app com.sec.android.app.camera" however this was unsuccessful. Apps can't be white-listed in application run control, only blacklisted. What else might I need to do to enable the camera in LockDown on these devices?
Hi, I'm having an issue with settings manager, in AEDO environment. It is configured to allow all options on bluetooth only. When I scan for devices when out of lockdown, I see the list of devices found. When I switch to user mode and scan for devices, nothing shows up, they only show up in admin mode. I double checked all Feature control settings, settings manager settings, lockdown settings, to no avail. I tried the latest settings manager 14.3.4, but did not help. Server version is 13.4.5203, the agent on my test device is 13.8.1047 Device is TC56 Oreo
