Hi everybody. We just set up our second Management Server next to the existing one. Search Index Service is now running on both of them. We experienced a situation where we couldn't see all of our devices in the device list (only 1.500 out of 4.500). Before this situation we shut down Management-Server 1 (for testing reasons).We then started Management-Server 1 again and 1 minute later we shut down Management-Server 2.After that the device list was not complete. Management-Server 2 had to be restarted for the device list being complete again. A forced Search-Index-Sync via console settings was not successful before. I think this behavior has something to do with the way the Search Indexes are working and communicating with each other. 1) Does anybody know how the sync is working? 2) What happens when we shut down one Management-Server? Hi everyone, Last week, one of our customers logged into our SOTI environment and put in a couple of scheduled changes. As we noticed, the scheduled changes came up in the Mobicontrol webconsole as being done by "System" and not by the actual user. Since the SQL database saves the login it wasn't a problem to find out who logged in that morning and we quickly find out who it was by doing the right query in our SQL database. But one thing we notice. The login in our SQL database is only saved for 24 hours before it's being delete! Does anyone know a solution to extend the time to save the login data? Note, the query we set up was made to find the "Username" who logged in, not the IP address (since we have multiple customers who are able to login, we don't want to track IP's)Anyone any idea??
Like the title says, for some reason the deployment sever crashed in the middle of the night and there was nothing to see in the Utility Manager of Soti. When seeing the logs, Im guessing that my server requirements aren't good enough. This is part of the MCdeplSvr.log. Is there a report to show the age of passcodes? We have our set to be reset every 90 days and need to find out when they will.
Is it possible to setup the Samsung device with Android 8+ OS as Fully managed devices with work profile (COPE) without use of Samsung Knox container? The Google docs writes that should be available on Android 8+ devices. Is it possible to setup it on any Android 8+ device in SOTI? I can't find any information about it in documentation. Hi Can we turn off NFC on Android Enterprise devices. Running v14.1.4.1693 Samsung XCover4 Looking at the scripting options and the closest I can see is setradioenable but that only goes as far as Bluetooth. Do I have any other options?
Good afternoon, We are required to add an Office 365 email signature for all of our engineers' Android tablets and I have been asked if it is possible to do this within Soti as our engineers will have issues adding this manually! I have managed to add a html signature for myself via an Exchange Active Sync profile which mirrors the company standard, however I now need to try and make this unique by user. According to the help files the only user Macros we have are %ENROLLEDUSER_DOMAIN%, %ENROLLEDUSER_EMAIL%, %ENROLLEDUSER_UPN% and $ENROLLEDUSER_USERNAME% however I am looking for a Macro that presents the user's First Name / Surname so we can add that to the signature. I appreciate we won't be able to pull location so I am planning to possibly push out multiple Exchange profiles with a target AD Group set for each location. At the moment I think it isn't possible but I thought it would be worth the ask. I have already mentioned that it may be worth using a 3rd party application to add a signature for all users but this fell on deaf ears. Thanks, Stuart
We've been having trouble in recent weeks with enrolling new devices into Android Enterprise as a work managed device. From a factory restore state, using afw#mobicontrol, the device will enroll as AE Work Profile. We never used to have this issue, afw#mobicontrol would enroll the device as AE work managed device. The closest we've been able to get is using the Stage Programmer app and a QR code to enroll the device in MobiControl. Using this method, it will enroll as AE work managed device. However, while our profiles and packages will apply, the app catalog rules will not. We have several apps that are set as mandatory that will not automatically download. I've tried downloading manually through the MobiControl App Catalog but when I tap to install it takes me to the Play store and says that my administrator has not given you access to this item. We've done a lot of testing with our device vendor. We've tried different versions of the web console and different android OS versions. All our devices are 7.1.2 and we attempted enrolling an android 6 device with afw#mobicontrol and got the same results. Throughout our testing, the only thing we have not been able to change is the MobiControl agent version (13.6.0.1567) since that is controlled by MobiControl's deployment server. Our last deployment of devices all used agent 13.5 with no problem. This time around, with agent 13.6, we are having problems. Has anyone else experienced problems like this? Being unable to use afw#mobicontrol to enroll into AE work managed device. Or, having issue with mandatory apps not downloading to a device once we do get it enrolled as a work managed device using the stage programmer app?
Does anyone know why iPhones stop communicating with SOTI? I have seen a number of devices lately, that just stop checking in. At the same time, users are reporting their device passcodes are not being accepted. Requesting a check-in from the device rarely causes them to connect to SOTI, nor does a forced restart. Not really sure why they aren't keeping their 2 hour scheduled connection. Let me know if i can provide any further information.
We are working on a project to migrate 1100 unenrolled devices (Android & iPhone) over to MobiControl. What would be the most efficient way to mass enroll the iPhones?

Hi, I recently upgraded to Mobicontrol version 14.2.1.4394 Now when i log into the web interface i get this error: Deployment server error (Error get file "MobiControl1421.apk" from database to "C:\ProgramData\SOTI\PkgStore\Update\MobiControl1421.apk".) This is correct since the file Mobicontrol1421.apk isn't located in that programdata folder. The only file i see there is SamsungElmMobiControl1421.apk. Is there a way we can fix this or remove this error message? It is very annoying and we don't seem to be able tot do anything about it...? Thx

I have 3 Huawei P20 Lite smartphones with Android 8.0 and Mobicontrol Android Enterprise device agent 13.6.0 Build 1567 installed, enrolled, sucribed and connected to a Mobicontrol Deployment Server (14.2.2.1170) in a Wifi Network with dedicated 50MB internet access that have been online for two days now and still stucked in "Configuring Google Account" pending action screen. I already did all the suggested actions in one similar post, factory reseting the device, changing to a cellular network, removing the google account, adding manually de google account for Android Enterprie of my company, removing it, etc. and nothing is happening. I really do not thing this issue should be considered as solved Any suggestions?
My customer uses an Wifi environment, where each devices is identified by a static address. We now need to bring in around 50 new devices an need to set an individual static ip therefore. I pushed a fusion profile to each device, but how can I individually set the static IP? I do not hope that a need to create 50 separate profiles for this? Thanks for any hint on that
