Hello there, Zebra TC75x require updates from Zebra website called "Lifeguard"(Zebra software security solutions). I managed to download these files but unfortunately able to install "LifeGuard" while sending SCRIPT "install_system_update /storage/sdcard1/CFE_ATLAS_P08_NG_01-01.49" Failed. Getting an WARNING ERROR "Error message received from device (Failed to open file. /storage/sdcard1/CFE_ATLAS_P08_NG_01-01.49" Any thoughts in how to install this update? Trying to avoid manually using ADB Sideload commands as I would need to do each one.( I have over 200) What is LifeGuard check this link "https://www.zebra.com/us/en/products/software/mobile-computers/lifeguard.html" THANK YOU! I've been used to working with Lockdown via Android+ and allowing users to see and interact with the status bar. Enabling Kiosk mode on Android Enterprise I have lost the status bar completely- a plain black bar. I have created a separate profile with Feature Control added and the status bar is not disabled. We keep Lockdown (now Kiosk) profile separate to other security profile options so we can apply different lockdowns to different users but only have to manage one set of security rules. How do I get the status bar back and keep kiosk available.

Hi Everyone, Is there a way to run MobiControl Stage Programmer on an Android and scan a QR Code; instead of NFC as the device isn't NFC capable, to provision a device? I've side loaded the MobiControl Stage Programmer .apk on the device but I'm being prompted with NFC Not Supported and the application closes out. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.. Hi guys! I've problem with the licenses of Soti MobiControl. I've connected 18 Motorola mc18, but the license count used is 19. During the enrollment task there were problems installing the agent on some devices. I still see 18 from the list of devices in the application. By using a query on DB I get 19 rows. One of this have incomplete property values. How can I drop from 19 to 18 licenses? It's a really a nerve-wracking problem.
Is there an easy way to add a folder shortcut to an Android lockdown screen? I know you can add file shortcuts using the File:// activity, however this doesn't work for folder locations (and Folder:// doesn't exist!) Would this need to be accomplished via an Android intent?
It's a Windows Mobile 6.5 OS running on a MC9190 device. I'm trying to create a package which can push several registry files to a folder and automatically load them in to the registry. I tried both "regload" script and "Auto Execute" in MobiControl - Package Studio and none of them work. Here is my example script. regload \application\Install Files\03_IEsettings.reg Does anyone have the same experience?
Hello, A customer of us has a user application that has an option of social networks, which opens a webview, inside the app, to the website of the social network. So we think the Firewall profile could serve for this porpouse, but there you have to input the IP address of remote host, and since there are lots of IPs for Facebook, for instance, how could we achieve this restriction ? Samsung devices (Android+). I appreciate your suggestions.
I have created a Lockdown screen for Android, but i am unable to get the phone app working; i have tried setting it to Launch various phone apps com.android.server.telecom, com.samsung.android.incallui, com.android.phone but i always get the package unavailable message; if you go via the contacts however you can dial out and you can also dial out via bluetooth and the phone will still receive incoming calls. I'm running Mobicontrol 14.0, and the phone is Samsung SM-A520F Android 8.0 with agent version 13.5.0 build 1327 (ELM)
Hi,I setup an on-premise instance of Mobicontrol. I created a rule for BYOD devices and will use MGPA. My device got enrolled, it gets online on the webconsole, but there is still pending actions before i can fully proceed with enrollment. See photo below. Thanks,Benedict
Hi, Does anybody know if it is possible to push an setting that told android to use app X when extension Y is opened? We want to prevent that users can choose their default application. *we cannot block the other app, because that one is necessary for another extensions. Thanks.
I am looking for some way how to automate building of multiple .pcg files for our use-case - for us ideal is to integrate it into Jenkins where the whole project and all apps are automatically compiled. Does SOTI's MobiControl Package Studio plan to provide (OR provide but in documentation I found nothing about it) any way of automatiion e.g. command line building access? In my opinion it is interesting, possible and nice to have feature for lots of people here. Thanks for information.
I have deployed an on premise version of MobiControl on a virtual machine. For some reason whenever I go to the enrolment link from the add device rule I get the error saying "server IP address could not be found". I've made sure that the ports 443 and 5494 are open as well as ICMP so not sure what else could be the problem.
We're currently using Samsung Galaxy Tab A devices with SOTI MobiContronl installed. We're utilizing Application Control whitelisting applications to run. However, when the device locks and is on the lock screen the users are able to click on Briefing and open the application; I see other notifications there too. Is there a way to remove all notifications from the lock screen via a script in a package? Is there a way to disable the "Briefing" flipboard.boxer.app package from being ran using a script in a package? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you....
