I'm configuring a Galaxy Tab A6 to only show a webpage in kiosk. I've noticed that on the lockdown menu it's possible to press and hold a text, which then prompts a menu for: Copy, Share, Select All, Web Search. This then provides the user with plenty of opportunities to access the device settings, add various accounts, etc. Is it possible to disable this popup menu when press and holding a text? I'm using SOTI Surf in addition to this and in there, this option is disabled and works, but the lockdown menu provides this access.

Hi All, Is there a way using file sync or similar to auto push wallpapers to devices? ideally we don't want to unlock devices and manually configure them due to numbers. We have TC75 devices enrolled with Android Plus and they state they have an API level of 23. We are running 13.3 version of Mobicontrol. any help would be great!
I have some devices that the remote control does not work because they do not have the last update of the operating system. Given that the devices are in kiosk mode, the user can not run the update, which is why we want to know if we can do it through Soti MobiControl through some script and task scheduling
Hi, We are planning to upgrade our MobiControl installation. We curently have the MobiControl databases on a standalone SQL server which has other production databases. Since the database user must be a SysAdmin or a DbCreator for the upgrade process to complete, we have concerns that the upgrade process might affect in some way the other databases or the SQL server itself (stop/start). If anybody already successfully went through such upgrade scenario, please share.
Hi everyone and RC, wondering if anyone has setup a shared Build Directory to sync .mcp/.pcg and contained files between multiple users. Maybe using a URL? I have tried this with minimal effort but when pointing the Build Dir to a syncd cloud server, it specifies the C:\ user path, which is also different for our Mac engineers. Thanks!
Hi, we are using Soti Surf (latest version from Google Play Store) in kiosk mode to display our customer web app. We have noticed that occasionally we will get the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT page probably due to WiFi connectivity issues. Our problem is that since the android tablet is inside a stand enclosure there is no access to the buttons so there is no way to get out of this screen and re-try to load the web site. This creates big issue for us. We need a way to automatically retry to load the failed URL (or the home URL) and/or show a button on the error page that allows that. Can you please advise of a solution?
Hello Regarding MobiControl and Honeywell Android units, for example the Honeywell CT50 Android 6 I'm currently testing.I was wondering if anyone maybe have tested something like this before or have some toughts, I find Honeywell easier to work whit than Zebra but Zebra may have a little more advantage whit MobiControl as script comand to rund update downloaded on to the unit before hand. So from Honeywell and CT50 in this case, may have been changed in the newer units.Honeywell describe OTA update as making a xml provisioner whit their EZConfig as tasks: Source: http://server_ip/Honeywell_CommonES_Android_Common_4.01.00.3455.zipAction: InstallFile Destination: /storage/IPSM/honeywell/autoinstall/CommonES.zip This basically downloads and moves CommonES to destination folder and is automatically runned on reboot. This is ok in itself sinse it can be downloaded from HTTP, HTTPS and FTP but when running several thousend units and more comming in diffrent location in non and secure networks it becomes a challenge to setup all the FTP and web servers to make this happen. So, could the Content Libary be used for this action, upload the OS files and downloaded to the unit.Downloading the CommonES to a file location should be ok but download kernel and run action InstallOta I'm a little more unsure of. Hi, I have created a device status rule to send an email in the Soti Surf app is not in foreground (see screenshot). I have tested with couple of devices and the rule does not get triggered at all. Can you please advise if I am doing something wrong. Other alert rules that I have configured seem to be working fine except this one. MobiControl version is 13.3.0.3217
Hell all, we work with soti mobi control in version => 13.3.0.3454 on our device under android we have the soti agent in version =>13.3.2 build 1034 In one of my profile, under configuration tab / restriction / phone call i have two number that we authorize. Now, i'd like to disable some special number as this : - *#06# => give the emie of the device - *#*#4636#*#* => retrieve information about phone and wifi :) for to do that, i edit the profile go to configuration tab / restriction / phone call Click new => add a name => INVALID COMMAND NUMBER as sample Click button add => *#06# But the character # is never save ... The script "enable_system_app com.sec.android.gallery3d" is not working. i get this message: Script command is not supported by device (enable_system_app) what else could i ty? Hello all, we have an app android who is installed by soti. our configuration about mdm is : - mobicontrol version : 13.3.0.3454 - mobicontrol client : 13.3.2 build 1014 On our all devices we have a lockdown (html page) with some image as button. Some button launch app and on a button launch a browser (chrome / internet explorer) with an internal url. for to open our intranet we use this command => browsers://url But we'd like to hide the address bar ...is there a way to do that ? with the lock down ? thanks for all
Hi, we are getting error when we try to add google play store apps to an application catalog rule. The error appears after selecting the app in the search results. I have noticed that the version field is not filled in and also the description field contains some encrypted text. Issue happens with any app we tried. My guess is that the system is unable to parse the data from the app store correctly. Hi, we are facing issues with the SSL certificate for MobiControl WebConsole. Please, see the scheenshots below. We are using the latest version of Chrome however we have same issue when we tried Microsoft Edge. Moreover this issue is preventing us from using the normal remote control (non HTML5). It keeps downloading the SotiRemoteControl plugin (SotiRemoteControlInstaller.msi) even though it is already installed (see last screenshot for browser error). Please, advise how can we resolve this.
