Hello, We are currently testing some Firmware update OTA. The FOTA is working fine on one of our devices. Now, we would like to target all the ~2000 devices that are currently enrolled on our server. --------------- MC version : 14.3.3.1111 Device Manufacturer : Coppernic Device Model : COne2 Management Type : Work Managed Device AE Agent Version : 14.4.1.1064 --------------- I tested the following script : writeprivateprofstring SystemUpdatePolicy 1apply SystemUpdatePolicy You can find the documentation here No error message in the device logs but the script does not work. Does the script look OK to you? Is there any need for additional elevation like WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS for writesecuresetting? Is there maybe any other way to process? Many thanks for your help and advice !

I tried enrolling in Vivo with the Android Enterprise method, I checked the default keyboard device using com.emoji.keyboard.touchpal.vivo, how do I change the default keyboard setting to Gboard.
Hello, I'm investigating the possibility to retrieve the DeviceName used by SOTI. From within a inhouse build Android Application. I'm not developing it myself, but I hoped it would be possible to get this info from Intend or JS or using some Identifier to query rest API of the server...Devices : Android Enterprise DOAgent v14.1.7.1117Mobicontrol v15.2.2.1080 Thanks Dennis
Hi, Is is possible to provide Android Enterprise devices (DO) with a wifi profile that includes proxy settings with username and password authentication? A customer of mine wants to push this wifi profile to samsung devices. The proxy settings include an SSID, PSK, Proxy server name, port number, Service Account Name and password. I can see in the profile config everything but the service account username and password fields. Some of the devices are leveraging Samsung Knox Configure Dynamic. I've tested this once but the result was that the username and password fields on the devices wifi profile appeared blank once I made the changes. However, even if I get this to work, I'm only able to push this to those devices on KNOX configure... not all devices. So a SOTI mobicontrol solution would be the preferred method. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Chris
I have a non-gms Zebra TC70x just back from repair with the new display. It has android Oreo for drivers for the new display and can't be downgraded to marshmallow and enrolled as plus to match other devices. When I enroll this device, it does it as work profile. Can I enroll this device as work owned?
Hi, Just asking and wondering if there was a documentation which list all script that we can use with AE devices (enrolled with MobiControl Stage Programmer). I will need to get all script especially the writesecuresetting script. It seems like everybody is sending writesecuresetting script but most of them are only working with Android+ devices... I'm surprised that SOTI didn't make this kind of document easily available. Their website is only showing the simple scripts that everybody knows from Android+ Many Thanks
Hello everyone. Do you know if it is possible to send a script to modify the status of the ELM or to display an authorization request to activate this function? Android Enterprise 14.2.2.1079 Mobicontrol : 15.2.1.1094 Thank you.
Hi, I tried to enroll Samsung devices by using afw#mobicontrol but it seems like this enrollment method is disabling most of Android & samsung apps like maps, calendar, gallery... I sent the adb command pm list packages to get all packages from the devices and I tried to add a script like: enable_system_app com.google.android.youtube enable_system_app com.sec.android.gallery3d etc. But unfortunately, this script (which get more than 100 lines) is not executed on preinstall or postintall application. Could someone tell me why? If I try to send this script by using "send script" command it's working. Thanks for your help.
I would like to know if there is a need of a "Maintenance Mode" to be set on devices via SOTI MobiControl? I was working remotely on some devices (Android) the other day and suddenly someone was fiddling around with the device causing challenges to perform some needed activities. These activities were not time consuming however due to the user interaction on that specific site we couldn't finish a task to check an issue on the device. - And I was thinking, why on earth can I not lock this device down for the end-user... Other scenarios would be if we from an central perspective ask for a short change window in a certain site to e.g. deploy one or more application updates or an longer activity in terms of updating an operating system version on devices. What do I mean by Maintenance Mode? Displaying a message on the display saying that this device is undergoing "Maintenance" and that it should be put back docked/inserted to the Charging Station if not being there already This mode shall present somewhat of a locked down state to the user in order to block the end-user to select or press any buttons to use applications that was present with or without a locked-down screen in order for the maintenance to be processed without any interruptions It shall; a) take over or be placed over a current locked-down screen b) prohibit an end-user to interrupt an administrator c) allow an Administrator remotely to check devices with the "Maintenance Mode" still being active for end-users How shall we as administrators activate Maintenance Mode? Possibility to right-click and set maintenance mode on; a) single devices b) selected several devices c) on a folder Maybe there is a solution for this already "out of the box" within Android. Then please let me know! Feel free to add to this topic. If SOTI cannot resolve this I guess they have to work with Google to resolve it in a joint operation when it comes to the Android operating system.
Our whole device estate is Samsung and we are slowly transitioning every device enrolled via enterprise enrolment with a managed playstore. We’ve recently found that the default Samsung screen recorder app is uninstalled from the enterprise enrolled devices and can’t seem to restore it. We have found the package name and tried to script it via MobiControl but no luck. Any suggestions on how we restore the built in Samsung app? It’s normally just accessible by swiping down from the top of the screen.
Hello, We would like to develop an Adndroid application that could send intent to the android enterprise agent installed on the device. Is there a way to directly contact the agent (does the AE agent have an intent receiver?) or do we have to go through the MobiControl API? (We would prefer to send an intent directly to the agent without going through the API) Android Enterprise Device Owner (agent version 14.3.3.1038) MobiControl vesion 14.3.3.1111 Thank you for your answer BR, Yoan.
Hi all Hope you can help possibly help with this issue which has driven me crackers over the last few days. I push out several apps from my enterprise store and they all work really well apart from one, 1st Touch. When we open the app on the handset we normally login the individual users but only the password is selectable. The username field is greyed out. I've tried pushing it out via the Managed Play Store or by APK and get the same result. The app doesn't have any configuration setup so I should be free to enter my own username and password. (See screenshots) I do get the sense that the application that is being pushed out is getting a config from the original setup and wonder if any credentials were being cached? Thank you in advance.
Hi all, Recently I've seen an increase in devices which fail the SafetyNet Attestation failure during enrollment with the Android Enterprise agent. These are brand new devices right out of the box including Samsung SM-T515, Zebra TC26 and Zebra TC57. The Android Enterprise agent is version 14.3.3.1038. The Android version is 8 and 10. I've already maintained the necessary setting in the add device rule to enroll on attestation failure. But why are these devices failing when they are straight out of the box and unmodified? Robert
