For a customer with approx 50 - 100 Android devices planned in Soti Mobicontrol, we want to set set it up with a single touch (one barcode). The only issue is, all the devices schould have fixed ip adresses. Is there an option to manage this by scripts to set the Wireless settings and ip settings based on serialnumber for example.
Hi, Can anyone see what (if anything) I am doing wrong here. Parent device group has a compliance policy against it, and so filter group is meant to be "All complaint devices in this parent group." We can see by the device icon that Device Details recognises that the device is non-compliant, yet appears within the filter group. Now I have read there are two compliance values in the background. Complaince Status (Depreciated having values of true/False and Compliance Status having values Complaint/Non-complaint/Pending. Mobicontrol version: 15.6.0.1018 Device: Android 11 - Fully Managed Android Enterprise Any hint/tips would be greatly appreciated Thanks Adam
Hi everybody, Is there any way that Mobicontrol reports/shows the secondary IMEI information? Even putting an unique SIM card in the slot 2 the device reports information about primary IMEI... Thanks!!
Hi all, i have a strange problem. We have Honeywell CN80 Scanners in our warehouse. When i enrolled a device, it get a application run controll to disabel some Apps. The scanners have Android 11 on it and my Soti is on Version 14.6.1. Now when the device is enrolled and i want to move it to another group and i need to restart it. The device will be in a boot loop. Have anyone a idee how i can fix it?
Do i have an old version where only WEP and WPA are available? Id like to configure devices with 802.1x but i cant find a version where this is availabe and neither an update on the playstore. Is the Stage Programmer discontinued?
Hi all, we are running work (fully) managed devices and upgraded some time ago to Mobicontrol 15.6.1I wanted now unassign apps from our managed playstore to clean up the list shown in the Mobcontrol console when editing an app policy. But now i noticed i can only assign new apps to the playstore but not the other way around (anymore). Can someone help here? Maybe I just don't see it. Edit: I found this in the api documentation which maybe could do what i want (set "IsApproved" to false):/android/managedGooglePlayBindings/{referenceId}/actions/{enterpriseAction} But there you need the enterpriseAction to be filled but i can't find the relevant entry anywhere where i can see which actions are available. Wasn't a possible solution, only "sync" is available to this API call.

Hi, I have FileSync Rule (AE Managed Device) that is uploading multiple files to the devices. One of the file is .js and I would like to execute it if if any of the files changes but I don't know how. Only option that comes to my mind is to copy whole script to the FileSync rule script box but I would rather not as it could change in the future and it could lead to mess. The script itself is not created as (function(root).. , it begins simply with "try {.." so I'm not sure if I could load it with "require" and if yes how to launch it as whole script/file I will be glad for any suggestions
We use zebra no sleep app to keep our devices active. When this app is installed via mobicontrol we need to activate 2 options. to start the service and to start the service after reboot. I checked this via Github and there is the possibility to start this service via a sendintent. The service respond to two intent actions (both uses the category: android.intent.category.DEFAULT) "com.zebra.nosleepservice.startservice" sent on the component "com.zebra.nosleepservice/com.zebra.nosleepservice.StartServiceBroadcastReceiver": Start the service.If the device get rebooted the service will start automatically once the reboot is completed. But I don't know how to script this.
Hello Soti COmmunity, I have since about 4 weeks the problem that I can no longer configure Application Run Control. Before I had edited a profile öffter one after the other and then suddenly came when editing the error. Does anyone have an idea what it can be and how I get this error away? I have upgraded to Soti Mobicontrol 15.6.1 and it is installed on a Windows Server 2016. If any other details are needed please let me know. Thank you very much for your support.
hello I have over 60 policies where the same app is used, but at "Managed App Config" - "Application Configuration" each contains a different code.The code (525 lines) differs only in one line each. Is there a way to customize the code per policy via another way e.g. Script, API ??? thanks for the help

Currently, settings in mobicontrol permit the device to have 5 minutes of inactivity before locking out. Some of the forums suggest the following script: Writesecuresetting –sys screen_off_timeout 120000 Applied as a legacy script, this doesn't have the desired effect of changing the timeout, but I'm guessing it should? I saw that write permissions may be blocking this kind of execution, does that impact a write script even from the mobicontrol console? Much obliged
Good Morning, I have 5 devices stuck on the account activation pending and will not complete the enterprise enroll. We have enrolled over 150 devices using the same enrollment method and ID, however my most recent batch have not completed. Any advice or ideas here?
We have some Android devices in production that are running a webapp connected through mobile internet. Hence MFA is used. I would prefer not having to have Microsoft Authenticator installed on these devices for the shared accounts, due to user experience. Is it possible to add enrolled devices in Azure AD, so devices will be trusted and only require usarname and password for the webapp we are running on the devices?
