Hi, How to install PFX certificate automatically from MobiControl on Windows Classic.
HI, How do I push a pfx certificate so that it can enter the current user, I tried pushing it via the modern Windows profile but the certificate goes to the local machine.
HI. We have a inhouse app on 3-400 Android devices that requires a certificate to be installed on each of them. I have managed to install it manually, but not sure if its possible to deploy it to all devices. When manually installing it, I needed to set a passcode on the device when installing, and disabling that passcode again after installation. All devices are not connected to internet, only local network, so they dont have a passcode configuered, and we dont want that either. if possible to install cert remotly on all devices, is it required to set a passcode in the same operation to have the certificate installed on the device? Anyone who can assist here please?
To log on to the WiFi via 802.1x we need the FQHN/DNS-name in the certificate we generate and deploy via MobiControl. All previous attempts have resulted in error messages within MobiControl ("Exception: Value does not fall within the expected range."). Does anyone here have any experience? Certificate Type: Generic SCEPSOTI MobiControl 15.6.4 The documentation refers to a selection list and a gear icon. However, these do not exist in "Generic SCEP". At least "ADCS + Configuration Type SCEP" has both. Unfortunately, the selection does not help us here. The manual variant "%DEVICENAME%.PART.COMPANY.DE" runs into the described error within MobiControl. https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.6/en/console/reference/dialogs/globalsettings/certificates/certificate_san.html?hl=alternative%2Csubject Thanks for any ideas or tips.
Hi guys! I need some help with my VPN. I already deployed Cisco Anyconnect to my Android Tablet, but since now it was not possible for me to configure an automatic configuration for the VPN Profile with the right settings and a VPN certificate for the authentification. Also as if i try to make a profile in Mobicontrol, to test-deploy a certificate i cannot upload the certificate. I have a .pfx, didn't work. Tried the .key, didn't work either. Also for a .crt. Somehow it is telling me in some cases that the password for the file is not correct. But i know that it is correct - i also tried then to remove the password, but the same story. No password is also a false password. I am looking forward for your answers! Thanks in advance! :) Best regards, Gerrit
I noticed under the profiles tab in 14.4.9 there is the option for Out of Contact. I would like a script that automatically revokes the certificate and deletes the device from Mobicontrol if it has not checked in for 3 weeks. Is there a script for this or possibly another way to achieve this? Thanks

Hello there We wanted to change our wildcard Certificate for Mobicontrol as well as 2 Exchange ERGs. Unfortunately the customer wasn't able anymore to generate a wildcard certificate like *.domain.ch The cert. looks like that right now: service.domainname.ch and in the SAN field they have entered *.domainname.ch MobiControl was able to handle it, but on the ERGs the mailsync stopped unless we've changed back everything. Has anybody some experience with such certificates? Can this work or should we generate a certificate for each service? Thank you for any inputs. Best Regards Beni
Hello Soti Team, I am currently trying to further automate our installation of Honeywell CT60 devices. I have used the wizard "Soti Android Enterprise Enrollment Ethernet/WWAN" via the Honeywell Provisioner. I have set the address (http://soti.net/apk/ae2) for downloading the agent and our enrolment ID. The agent should then be downloaded, installed and connected, shouldn't it?Unfortunately, we can only get as far as the installation. When I start the Mobicontrol Agent, I have to enter the enrolment ID manually.I also have to confirm Google Chrome afterwards and agree that it is not a secure connection. Then I have to click continue (the button doesn't look right either). The agent should then connect. But it doesn't always, sometimes the agent crashes and I have to try 3-4 times. So the question: Why doesn't the device connect automatically with the QR code? And what can we do so that the warning that it is not a secure connection no longer appears?
We are still using some Intermec/Honeywell 3K3X devices running Windows Mobile 5.2 that we'll be retiring later this year. Before that, however, we have a need to deploy the Entrust Root Certification Authority (G2) root and intermediate certs. I know how to deploy these, but I want to validate that they are working. Entrust offers a validation site (https://validg2.entrust.net/), but the site won't work in the IE version on the device. Further, I have yet to find a browser that will both load the site and that uses the device's cert store and not a separate one for the browser. Does anyone know of:- a browser that works with WinMo 5.2 AND supports HTML5 AND uses the device's browser store- some other way to validate the certI happened across this article - https://support.nmi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360021544791-How-to-Check-If-the-Correct-Certificates-Are-Installed-on-Linux - which made me realize I could use cURL to validate, but I have yet to be able to find a cURL implementation for Windows Mobile. Any help you can offer is appricated.
Hi, we have about 1000 MC33 with Android 8 Now our new purchase has only Android 10 MC33 devices. Our problem is now i cant stage the Android 10 devices when the DeploymentServer certicate is SHA-1, so we changes to SHA-2 and staking worked. But after changing to the SHA-2 certificate the Android 8 devices cant connect to SOTI anymore. Any solutions ? Kind Regards
When we try to access out internal site, we received this warning error "There's a problem with this website security certificate. Proceed anyway" We have a certificate that we can install to fix this error If we access the link to the certificate manually, from the device, we could download the certificate and install it My problem now is, I need to deploy this to multiple devices, so I need this done via a profile or a script I did assigned a profile to keep the certificate in the SD card and tried to import it, but it did not installed properly The script i use to run them is as below, but none of them seems to work certimport -cert "/sdcard/xxxx" -ctype cert certimport -cert "/sdcard/xxx" -ctype certificate_type -itype "install_type" certimport -cert "/sdcard/xxx" -ctype certificate_type -itype "install_type" -storage "storage_type" Certificate is a chain, private root CA and private TLS CA certificate The manual installation will put the certificate here in this location Settings > Security > Trusted Credentials > User When I used the certimport script, it will move my cert from the SD card, but I dont know where it went And the warning will still be there, and the certificate are not in the desired place. Any advise on how I can have these certificate install automatically? Thank you

I am attempting to configure SOTI to issue certificates to be utilized during 802.1x authentication. I am unable to create a certificate template within SOTI which would be a requirement to issue these certificates from our internal CA server via SCEP. I found a guide located at this url: https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.1/en/console/system/certificates/add.html , however this seems outdated as there is no "Certificate Authorities" section with a wrench next to it at the stated screen. Is there an updated guide to configure MobiControl cloud for this purpose?
Good morning, I have a question about the certificates alias. The question is about how to set the certificate alias with SOTI, if possible: As you can see in the screeshot, the certificate alias received by the device has this structure: [devicemodel][devicesn][certificatesn]. Where does it take those information and how I can change it with SOTI? Honestly I can’t find where I can set that name inside SOTI CA template configuration. Can you help me?
