Velocity Browser automatically removed from devices Solved

Good Day,  On our VC80x Zebra devices the velocity browser is automatically uninstalled,  At first I thought this happened as I hanged the application from Mandatory to Suggested in the App Catalogue as all my devices was affected,  Then I removed the catalogue completely and assigned the application via a SOTI Profile, but still it gets removed randomly from some devices and this is totally random and may happen to 1 or 2 devices then for 5 hours nothing and then all of a sudden a few devices again.  I get this error in SOTI:  Error message received from device (Package [com.wavelink.velocity] does not contain default activity) when the app gets uninstalled, The fix is to force the package to be installed again   I am lost and have no idea what else to do, I removed all my configs from the devices and just left the Application Profile & Package.

Android Enterprise DO : Disable GPP scan

Hello everyone, I encounter some issue (as some of you I have seen!) regarding the deployment of an APK on a AEDO device. The profile stay in a "Install Failed" status (Failed to Install (File I/O Error)). On the device I have the following message from the Google Play Protect : If I click on "INSTALL ANYWAY" the app is correctly installed. If I deploy a FC profile with the "Disable verivy apps enforcement" feature : I am able to manually disable the GPP Scan : This is the same thing / result as if I sent the following script on the device : writesecureprofstring DeviceFeature DisableVerifyApps 1apply featurecontrol If I manually disable the "Scan device for security threats" option, I can deploy my APK via my profile without any problems. Also, I am able to install my APK directly on the device from a USB driver for example. Question : Is there a way to disable the "Scan device for security threats" with a script or a trick ? For now, the solution is to blacklist Google Play via an App run control profile. But I use a managed Google Play store and I need Google Play on the device... The complete solution would therefore be : 1/ Deploy App Run Control profile 2/ Deploy APK 3/ Revoke App Run Control profile Quite tedious.... Thank you !

Disable prompt from applications to update

Hi,  A customer of ours is using an application that is downloaded from the Google Play Store through the Application Catalog.  When the application has a new version, the developers are making use of the in-app update API where it prompts the user the update the application now or wait until later.  The problem is that if the user presses the update button, they are taken to the Google Play Store where they can download any application they want.  I can't blacklist the Play Store as we do want the applications to auto update when the Play Store does so, I just need to be able to stop the application presenting the prompt.  I've done some research and I don't think it's possible to suppress this or block it completely but if anyone can suggest anything to try I'd appreciate the help.    Thanks  Josh.

    Google Account looses login

Hello everyone,we currently have a problem with our devices and the google play store. When we enroll our devices we manually enter a google account. It is the same for every device. At first everything works fine and we can install the necessary apps out of the play store. After a while (not a set amount of time) you need to login again with the google account. When trying to login this time though it does not work. After "Checking info" it says:There was a problem communicating with Google servers.I analyzed the problem with our network department. There is no traffic at all when trying to connect to the google servers. The connection seems to be blocked by the device.Other Websites and apps work fine though and the traffic is visible. When using a different wifi the google login works again. In our company Wifi we use PEAP with MSCHAPV2 as second phase authentication.Furthermore we use a proxy with an auto config file.Is there any setting I could have missed or is this a problem anyone of you had before? Some further infos:Devices: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 with Android+ profilesMobicontrol: 14.2.0.2894Thanks for the help

Android Enterprise - Google Play "Your administrator has not given you access to this item"

Hi, I'm using Android Enterprise to run a fleet of CT50s and CT60s. However, I recently enrolled a couple of devices, which won't install the applications from the Playstore. They're appearing in the App Catalog fine, but when I go to install, google play says "Your administrator has not given you access to this item". This is now happening on all new devices I enrol, but existing ones are still updating apps that are already installed. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I'm using SOTI 14.2.1 Many thanks

Controlling Managed Google Play Updates Solved

Hi, With the introduction of the new managed google play update configuration in 14.2.1. Does anyone know how it's possible to trigger an app update on a device, if it's been marked as 'never update'. I need to be able to check an update before rolling it out to the entire fleet and am trying to figure out the best way to control this. Once this is done, is there a script or something I can send which will trigger the devices to update apps from the playstore? Thanks for your help

    App Catalogue Install Order Solved

Hi there, I have an Application Catalogue rule for Android+ that installs a number of mandatory apps from the Managed Google Play store. During device initialization, it would greatly speed up our process if we could define the install order of these apps. Is this possible? Thanks, - Luke

Disable switching Google account on Google Play

We have some work managed devices (Android 7+). We'd like to use our enterprise catalog managed by GooglePlay. We don't want to allow users to download an application without our validation (IT department), but we want still allowing the Google personal accounts creation. Is there any way to disable account switching only in the Google Play application? Thank you. Regards
