Is there a way to delete the 3rd-party app installed on the device using a profile (where the app package was added to the profile)? When I delete the device from SOTI, the app remains. I would like to know if it's possible to automatically delete the app after deleting the device.
I'm trying to install SOTI MobiControl as a fully managed device to my new Zebra TC72 Android 11. We have to be connected to the company's network/wifi in order to enroll SOTI in the past and we used StageNow to install. However, this time I'm doing this remotely from home. So, I had to install Cisco AnyConnect first to connect to VPN out of the box then install SOTI using an external SD card. It was installed successfully, but I was prompted to create a work profile. Is there a way to install it as a work managed while connected to VPN? Or was it me installing AnyConnect that was causing the work profile? Note: Our SOTI MobiControl version is: 14.3.4.1087
Dear All, I am getting a file sync error message when trying download the latest BSP and lifeguard files for Zebra Android 11 Version of mobicontrol is 15.5.2.103 Any clues?
Morning, We need to upgrade the Android OS of our RF terminal Zebra MC9300 (20 x devices) from Android 10 to Android 11 + patches. All the devices are already managed by SOTI for application deployment but we do not use the OS update deployement feature from SOTI. Can we create a group of devices that will receive the OS upgrade for testing then when the test is concluant add all other devices to the group? We also have VC8300, can we create a group by model as well in SOTI for the same purpose? Can someone explain how we can proceed? Thks for your help
Hi there, Hope you are doing well. We are trying to set geofencing rules so that all the devices that leave a chosen area receive an alert. This is the process I follow: 1. Creating a geofence from the device location in the device details window 2. Creating an alert, and select the geofence created in 1. After that, I tested the alert by leaving the geofence area, unfortunately, I didn't receive any alert. But I remark that MobiControl was able to track the device location.
Morning, I have intermittently issues with RF devices that are not showing up in SOTImobiControl wen console. The devices are pinguable. Attached are information of the device from SOTI Can you help how I can fix that issue? Thks in advance

Hey there! I'm trying to integrate MobiControl with ServiceNow. To achieve this I'm trying to get the access token in Servicenow using token POST api. But I'm not able to make successful connection and get the Access Token. I guess I'm making the below mistakes 1. Not converting the Client ID and Client secret to correct RFC2045 MIME Base64 - How do we do this? I'm using notepad++ MIME Tools to convert. Is this correct? or am I doing it wrong? 2. I'm little confuse on how to use the Grant Type? It says follow the below format POST https://server.domain.tld/MobiControl/api/token HTTP/1.1 Host: server.domain.tld Authorization: Basic QXBwbGljYXRpb24xOkFwcGxpY2F0aW9uMVBhc3N3b3Jk Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Content-Length: 53 grant_type=password&username=Administrator&password=1Attaching the image how I can do in ServiceNow, not sure it's correct Error I'm getting while calling the API javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Connection reset When I use postman for the same I'm getting "error": "invalid_client" I appreciate any help! thank you in advance.
Good afternoon, Is it possible to push a change through SOTI Mobicontrol to Disable Animations in the Developer Options on the phone? We were investigating a couple different routes to improve the overall performance of our Zebra TC56s/TC57s when remoting into them. We found that when the animations were disabled, remoting into the devices tends to be a lot smoother of an experience. Our users work in environments where they have poor cellular signal. Thank you
Hello,We currently use SOTI on our Android Tablets (Samsung Tab Active2 with Android 9).The profile we use is very restrictive, it doesn't allow factory reset, it doesn't allow USB debugging, etc. I mean, almost everything is blocked. We have a tablet which is currently blocked just after it starts :it shows "Mobicontrol - wait - loading" ; with a permanent loop.(the tablet worked a few days and got enrolled by soti). In this state if I press return button I have a tool tip with 2 options:* informations about the application (it does nothing)* close the application (it doesn't work ; the loop continues).I tried to rebot several times, removing battery, etc : same thing.I started in safe mode, in order to unistall sotimobicontrol but it doesn't work: in safe mode, the screen is all black except "mode sécurisé" (safe mode i french) in white at bottom left. Nothing possible to.I tried to do a "wipe data / factory reset"... but it's blocked by soti.it shows "MDM does not allow factoryReset". I also tried to put the firmware of the tablet (downloaded from sammobile.com) into a SD card, but I got errors:/sdcard/update.zipE:mmap (2487630050, R, PRIVATE, 4, 0) failed: Out of memory.E:Map of '/sideload/package.zip' failedE:failed to map file successfully generated dm-verity hash tree.Installation aborted #1. (I tried with T395XXS9CTF5_T395XEF9CTF5_XEF.zip ; T395XXU6CSL1_T395XEF6CSL1_XEF.zip and T395XXU8CTD3_T395XEF8CTD2_XEF.zip, firmwares downloaded from https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-tab-active-2/firmware/SM-T395/XEF/ ) Finally, I tried to put the tablet in "odin mode" / "download mode" : it doesn't work with the tablet (and with all tablets running soti ; so we probably blocks it, because with a tablet without soti it works). I can't reach the green "warning message" for Odin mode, so I can't put the firmware through Odin.I don't know what to do now... if you have idea, please help.
SOTI Version: Version: 14.4.1.1195 Devices: Zebra TC56J Android 7.1.2 Agent version: 14.1.4.1010 I am trying to find an efficient way to upgrade our Android 7.1 devices to Android 8. Currently, I have a staging OU that downloads the OS update from 7 to 8, with a post copy script that successfully upgrades the device to 8.1 However, this disconnects it from SOTI since the agent is then incompatible. So, I'm trying to do this all through StageNow. According to this: https://supportcommunity.zebra.com/s/article/OS-Update-multiple-packages-using-SOTI-MobiControl-Mxconfig-Script?language=en_US I should be able to. I followed that guide exactly, with the exception of a file sync rule since the device is orphaned after upgrading to 8. Instead, I added in FileMgr configs that copy my Android 8 patch, an Android 8 reset zip, and a UPL file that lists both. The PowerMgr config is set exactly as in my link above. However even though StageNow says it is successful (and the files physically are copied to the device) it never seems to process the patch and reset files. Contents of my UPL file is: package:CFE_ATLAS_02-32-04.00-ON-U01-STD.zippackage:ATLAS_O_FACT_RESET_U08.zip Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and tips on what I may be doing wrong. Thanks!
I read a couple of post on SOTI discussion takling about OS Manager. Is it a SOTI application? How can I get this application? Thks JJC
Hi, I have seen simliar posts to mine but so far I'm having issues understanding the exact process needed to transition from Android 7.1 and Android Plus to Android Enterprise management. Our current management system is comprised of StageNow for our TC56 devices. We just scan the barcode using StageNow which installs and configures the agent for our MobiControl server. From my understanding, we need to rebuild our StageNow process to sideload apps on the devices before it completes an initial setup? As well as re-create our SOTI profiles and organization to include Android Enterprise? Essentially I'm looking for some sort of documentation or clear-cut guide on how to migrate these processes from 7.1 to 8. Is there anything like this? Or even some steps that others have done it successfully?
Hello, We have around 350 Android+ handheld devices that we configure for lockdown using a custom HTML kiosk. It works well but we have an issue where we can't push any updates to the devices over cellular. If the profile is altered in any way (package update, kiosk code update, even a setting option change) the devices on cellular simply minimize the kiosk and remove the lockdown, effectively opening up the device. This happens even when we have the device group enabled to update over wifi, cellular, and cellular while roaming. What would be some things I can check to make sure we have this configured correctly? Only being able to update over wifi is very inconvenient when managing so many devices. Thanks!
Hi, I'm locking down a Samsung Active Tab 2 with the Andorid+ SOTI agent. Its running SOTI Surf in single app mode and I would like users to be able to change certain settings from the status bar but not others. I'm able to disable the settings I don't want user to turn on with feature control, but I cant find a way to allow users to change the brightness and rotation settings while at the same time not allowing them to turn off the wifi. Is this possible? Thanks
