    Windows Modern Device Name

We are adding Windows 10 laptops, the device name in SOTI matches the Active Directory rules, however the name on the device remains the default. I cannot find anywhere in Mobicontrol where i can see what the device name is on the computer, am I missing it somewhere. How can I change the device name on the machine during enrollment to match the generated device name in Mobicontrol?   Thanks.

Hey guys, How can Windows users tell whether someone is using Soti Mobicontrol to access their computer? Did administrators need to update any configurations for this?

Remote control not working on Windows 10 PC

Good afternoon, as stated in the object, I have a PC with Windows 10 on which the remote desktop doesn't work most of the times. I always need to reboot it and only then the remote desktop works, but after a while (like the day after) it doesn't work anymore and needs another reboot. I have several PCs of the same model and same OS installed on that plant, but this one is the only one with this issue. What can I try to fix this? Below some information: MobiControl instance version: 15.6.1.1048 Agent version: 15.6.1.143 Find below the screenshots about the PCs OS version and software: The PC is enrolled with SOTI self-signed certificate: And we do not use te Windows Notification Services (WNS). I know this adds a slower application of configurations and applications, but this is not an issue. Plus, as I said above, this is the only PC with this issue (all the others, which work fine, are enrolled in the same way). The PC is connected to the network with a static IP configuration through Wi-Fi connection. It never disconnects from the console (the icon is always green and I don't see any disconnection from the logs), but the remote control is very problematic as stated above. Thank you, best regards.

Possible to execute self-elevated Powershell scripts through MobiControl?

I have some scripts I want to send out to a department of laptops to help configure a new VPN we'll be using. The first script enables Split Tunneling and the other adds and app trigger for mstsc.exe. Because of how busy the members of this department often are, I'd like to leverage MC to send these scripts to each laptop for me. However, even after adding a snippet to the beginning that should self-elevate the scripts if (-NOT ([Security.Principal.WindowsPrincipal][Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()).IsInRole([Security.Principal.WindowsBuiltInRole] "Administrator")) { $arguments = "& '" +$myinvocation.mycommand.definition + "'" Start-Process powershell -Verb runAs -ArgumentList $arguments Break } however, the logs always result in the error that the new VPN connection name cannot be found. Digging into the error, it seems most likely that this is due to the script not actually running as elevated. Has anyone successfully sent and executed a self-elevating Powershell script through Mobicontrol?

    Windows Server Enrollment Solved

We have version 15.3 on prem, I am trying to enrol Windows Servers 2012 or 2019, the MCagent says installed successfully, but is not connecting back to the console, nor is any logs being created on the console to indicate that the device is\has being registered. I created a desktop rule along with device agent manager, created a Microsoft windows 2019 and 2012 agent. Any help on this would be appreciated?

    Windows 10 LDAP Enrollment

I am attempting to enroll a Windows 10 laptop onto our SOTI MobiControl server (running version 15.2) using LDAP authentication against our on-premise Active Directory. I have set up my rule to include the group with the most permissions in our AD for enrollment purposes I have confirmed that the domain user that I am using is a part of this group and possesses all the necessary permissions  However, when on the laptop, I successfully join it to our domain, but nothing ever gets enrolled on the SOTI side. Could someone point me in the right direction for where to troubleshoot or even provide a solution for how to successfully join a laptop to a domain and SOTI simultaneously?
