Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem where they get a error

"The Database is temporarily unavailable"

We are on mobicontrol v14.2 and when I try to open some (not all) of our existing profiles i get the following error. Same thing happens when i try to upload APK files.  Has anyone had similar issues?

Hi Glen

From the experience, it can be fixed by restarting the MobiControl Services.

Hi!

Is there any solution on this problem?

Since upgraded to SOTI MC 14.2 we also experience this error.

Server restart helped at first, but the error came up some days later. Now even a server restart doesn't help anymore.

Hi Glen,

I think your best bet would be to contact SOTI Support and have them raise a ticket for this issue. Typically in the past when we have seen this issue is it related to the DB or performance of the server however the root cause tends to vary from customer to customer.

Most likely a SOTI support agent will need to investigate your environment, check some log files and possible create an internal bug ticket to determine the origins of the issue as this hasn't been a one solution fits all issue.

I have logged  a job and will see what the tech says and let you guys know. But for now they have taken the logs and are currently analyzing it.

In our environment the problem seems to occur only when Out-of-Contact-Payload is configured in the profile.

@Glen: Can you confirm this?

Hi Guys,

Been awhile, but a quick update.

With assistant from Soti and out extensive testing we have determined the issue was being caused by our antivirus application kaspersky.

I dont know how or what is it doing to cause this but whenever we turned it off kaspersky on the server, everything worked like normal. Unfortunately as this is considered 3rd party application Soti stance is that it has nothing to do with them and cannot help.

Its has been an on going problem for us as we cannot remove the antivirus app on the server, for obvious security reason, and cannot figure out what file or folder we need to exclude from live scanning. We have asked Soti help for advice around file exclusion but due to the reason above they are unwilling to help.

Anyone else got an idea?
