Setting a default passcode for managed devices for iPadOS

Solved Locked

Hello,

Currently we couldn't find a way to set a passcode for managed iPadOS devices...

After joining the remote management profile, user have to input the password manually.

As we want to setup a standard password across all iPads, we need to enforce the password to be a certain value.

Please advise how it can be done for iPadOS, thank you.

Thanks and Regards,

Lok

As far as I know, Apple has changed their policy/MDM-API's about a year ago and does not allow any MDM administrator to remotely set the password for devcie end-users any more.   Administrator can now only temporarily unlock/clean the exisiting passcode, so that end-user can access the device and prompted to input his/her new password as required by the authentication profile payload.

Hence, no MDM solution in this world can achieve what you need.
