Hello,
When adding Ipad devices to our soti environment we make sure we select the passcode option in the Apple Device enrollment Program options, present in the device enrollment rule.
When we start up the device for the first time, it asks to set up a pin code.
After a reboot, certain devices still ask for the PIN, some other devices no longer require the PIN to start and only a swipe unlocks the iPad.
Any config we missed?

Enabling passcode option in the Apple Device Enrollment Program tab of add-devices rule only configure the device set-up assistant not to skip the pages giving end-user the chance to configure/bypass any desirable passcode mode upon the first startup.
To actually enforce a particular passcode policy (e.g. n-digit PIN, an n-character alphanumeic Password with/without complex charcacter, etc.), configure and deploy the Authentication profile payload to your target devices.
