Hello Jackson, 

What version of SQL are you running?  There is a chance your SQL's default configuration is not set to work with iClear Reports to generate reports. Try these steps in order to resolve your circumstances.

First of all, open SQL Server Configuration Manager (press “windows” key and type mmc, then choose “SQL Server Configuration Manager” application to run).

Go to SQL Server Network Configuration -> Protocols for SQLExpress and see if TCP/IP protocol is disabled.

Double click on this protocol to open properties window and change property “Enabled” from “No” to “Yes”.

Restart SQL Server service.

Let me know if this works for you as we have experienced this behavior before and may have another suggestion if this is not the case.
