Zebra MC9300 operating system upgrade with SOTIMobiControl FileSync

Morning Everyone,

I am using FileSync in SOTIMobiControl to upgrade the firmware of my MC93 RF terminal.

I would like to use mxconfig /sdard/packages.upl as a script set in FileSync

but I am getting the message "OS update has failed to install...." on the device.

Running it with install_system_update "/sdcard/11-39-27-00-RG-U02-STD-HEL-04.zip" as script set in Filsync works. But I have to do that for each zip file

Is there any other way to run the zip files in one command?

Thks in advance

Why do you need to use the UPL process at all? With A11 Zebra provide full updates for each LifeGuard version so you can jump to any OS and LG level you want without having to do a base BSP followed by a LifeGuard. There should be no reason to need to process a sequence of A11 .ZIP files that I can think of. I use install_system_update constantly with Zebra A11 devices and have not run into a limitation where I would I would otherwise need to us the UPL process.

Hi Matt,

Agree wil you for Android 11

But I dont only have Android 11 in my fleet only.

I have also Android 10 and especially 8.1.0 with no latest build and lifeguard.

But you referenced an A11 BSP in your original question (11-39-27-00-RG-U02-STD-HEL-04.zip)? If you're trying to upgrade to that referenced version you don't need a UPL file to do so and you can just use the full update to get to whatever LG level you want to get to.

Hi Matt,

You are correct. My original post was for Android 11

But I have Zebra Android with 8.1.0 version I need to upgrade also.

How can I do that with multiple zip packages?
