I think the database Soti Assist uses, by default, is assumed to be on the same SQL server as MobiControl. So, if you migrate the database/SQL server to somewhere, you just need to reconfigure MCadmin of MobiControl. 

However, if you really experience problem with Soti Assist related functions, maybe you can re-run the Sot-assist installation program (of the same version and build as your current instance) and let the software figures out the change required, or manually override any parameters wrongly configured.
