System PopUP not shown in Lockdown

Hello

We set up Zebra TC21 yesterday and then we noticed that when we are in lockdown / kiosk mode, the popup to connect the printer does not appear. If we deactivate the kiosk mode it works without any problems. How can this be activated or what solutions are there?

is it a BT printer?

If yes try to add following as an (hidden) item to the lockdown: 

com.android.settings/.bluetooth.BluetoothPairingDialog

Yes it is a Bluetooth Printer, i'm gonna try this one.

It did not work, we found out that it is probably due to the PWA, because it constantly tries to connect to the printer (not the device but the website / PWA wants to connect) and Soti Surf prohibits this action, because the pop-up simply does not appear, no matter what we do. Unfortunately, the developer could not help us either, we probably have to consider a rollback and then give ourselves enough time to find a solution.

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse! 

An option that may be able to assist is to identify the pop up that appears by sending the script identify_activity to the device and adding the activity listed into your lockdown screen.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your confirmation, you did mention that the pop-up for the PWA app doesn't appear on SOTI Surf, could it be possible to whitelist that pop-up link (Acquiring the link could be possible on another device) through the Surf configuration to see if the pop up appears.

You may also try adding the link to the lockdown screen to unblock this link globally.

If these two options aren't successful. I would recommend reaching out to SOTI Technical Support to create a case with us for in-depth troubleshooting.
