Change Managed Google Play account after enrollment

Hi!

We need a way of changing the Managed Google Play account after a device has been enrolled. This is specifically needed when migrating devices between environments since one Managed Google Play account can only be active for one environment.

Do you have a solution for this?

What do you mean by migrating devices between environments?

When migrating a device from one server to a completely other server we need a way of changing the connected managed google play account set on the device otherwise the device won't get any new app updates from Google Play

Each MGPA account is associated with a particular MDM server.  If you migrate MobiControl server and the whole database to another server hardware (e.g. to upgrade to more powerful hardware, or new MS-Windows Server, or new IP but same FQDN. though still using the same MobiControl reg-code/license) in a proper way, then there is no problem upgrading apps for the devices after the migration.

If you are talking about another MDM server instance using a different reg-code/license and a different MobiControlDB database instance,  then devices have tol be un-enrolled and apps removed, followed by re-enrollment to the new instance.  In this case, you of course need a new MGPA account associated with your new server instance.

Are you using MGA account?  Is there any paid app bought with your previous MGPA/MGA account?
