Hi,

We have Soti MobiControl in version v15.3. to manage our Zebra TC77 handhelds.

Since yesterday, we can't start the Deployment & Management service.

Today, I go to the server and check the utility administration.

We have some errors in MobiControl Administration Utility.

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for requesting a response from SOTI Support Staff.

Do you still have issue unable to start Management and Delployment services? If yes, could you please check if all required ports and IP addresses are whitelisted.

Please find the links below:

Is your MobiControl server a new instance?

If not, how long has it been running OK in the past?   Has there been any upgrade from a previous MobiControl server version or migration/change of network infrastructure?

Hi, thanks for fast reply.

the server was changed for 2 weeks.

So the old one was an "Hardware Server" and now we moved that to an VM.

The server / services runs without problems since the change.

After restore the Backup/snapshot => same issue.

Hi Stephan,

so you had moved the Server from an Physical and migrated them ot an VM Server ?

With the change from IP Adresses and the Server Name?

What i know is the License binded to the Server name and other Values when it is activated.

If you doe something with the Server change DNS Name then inform Soti that thex remove the binding in the Background.

Additionally only the Server has been migraded and the DNS Name has changed must be then not the ROOT Certificate new Generated too ?

Hi Stephan,

Were the server OK and devices  remained in full control right after the change two weeks ago?  Or were there the same problems ever since the changes had been made?

If done properly, and with various critical network configurations remain the same, migration from physical server to a VM instance is no big deal.  Let's first assume your migration has been done properly, then you can first check if the firewall settings for the new server are any different from those for the original physical server.
