Dear all, we are using currently some Outform test devices in SOTI. (With Android 5.1) How do we get out of the Kisok mode directly on the device? To give in the Administrator password directly. Thank you in advance.
Hello Guys, maybe one of you can help me out here. Currently we only want support user to be able to watch their sites devices and manage them via groups. All other access is blocked, so we are currently left with this: Now the Users can still click on Soti Assist and get on the Product Activation Landing Page, since we just use it for HTML5 Remote Control right now. Can we block this access somehow or do we just activate for test trial and then after Test License runs out there is an error shown etc. but nothing more can be done? kind regards
Hi, We're have this issue occurring on a Honeywell CT60, its running in lockdown mode with Soti Surf 14.4 as the only accessible application. Whenever its placed into a dock or removed from it Soti Surf reloads and then the soft keyboard starts appearing over top of text inputs. The only way to get it to function normally where the text input moves up when the soft keyboard opens is to close then reopen Soti Surf. I've updated Soti Surf and the devices firmware but this issue still occurs, and I cant see any settings for Soti Surf or the device that would cause this. I'm not to sure if this is an Android thing or a Soti Surf issue, as this problem does not occur when using Chromium. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Matt
Hi, we recently upgraded from v13.4 to v14.3. We have noticed a few problems but the key one seems to be when you try to switch to legacy tabs (rules, server settings, security etc) and secondly menu's i.e. NTP settings you get in chrome repointed to the main all devices page. On IE we get an error saying content cannot be displayed in a frame. I presume, this is a browser setting and pointers would be great! Thanks Tom
In Android 10, various privacy restrictions are in place which will prevent apps from retreiving IMEI or serial numbers. I'm just being curious here: Will MobiControl still be able to get data like this? I'm guessing it will, after being given permission by the user, but only because the app will then be given system rights or something? Will the device owner/device administrator role still be applicable?
When will Windows Server 2019 be certified for a MobiControl v14.4 install?
Hey all, Quick question. We have windows mobile scan guns (MC9190/9200) We have authentication to our AD server turned on. Logging in works but we have the option set to prompt for password after 10 minutes of non-use. This setting doesn't appear to work. After the user logs in and you leave the scan gun alone it never prompts for the password again. Removed all profiles (except wifi) with the same result. Is this a known issue? Or am I missing a configuration option? Thanks, Chris
Good Day I want to update an APK package to only one group of mobile devices ( Only for one branch with the test APK) How can i do it via SOTI MobiControl
Hello everybody, I have the following problem with my WIN CE 6.0 devices: we have a new server (windows 2012R2) with SOTI MobiControll V.14.3.3.1111 installed. It is an internal server in the closed network. Android, Win10 IoT and WinCE 6.5 are all connected and work wonderfully. The WinCE6.0 devices connect and after a few minutes they disconnect and stay disconnected until they are rebooted. in the logfile comes the following message: (0x00001090) [INFO ] [ 27] PulseChecker enter: Send: False, Check: True, Memory: 167939184, ThreadPool: 32767, 999, Queue: 0, Workers: 8 (0x00001090) [INFO ] [ 27] PulseChecker exit: Total: 22, Connected: 22, Busy: 0, Dropped: 0, Retried: 0, finished in 0 ms (0x000003e4) [INFO ] <165> Comm.Client.166171: Accepted a new connection from [::ffff:192.xxx.xxx.121]:49161. SSL Policy Error: RemoteCertificateChainErrors. Status: PartialChain. On the old server (Win 2008R2), everything worked fine with version 13 of Soti MobiControll. Can someone tell me why this could be and what I can do about it? greetings Georg
Hi all, We have around 100 Zebra TC20 and TC51 devices enrolled into SOTI Cloud, enrolled into our MDM using afw#mobicontrol. The application in question installs perfectly, I deploy it with a pre-install script which removes any old versions and this works as expected. The application launches and allows you to register the app with a QR code. The QR codes are required to register the device to a physical business site. Within the application there is a "RESET App" option, which clears the cache and allows the app on next launch to re-register using the QR code method to another site. Here's the issue we are experiencing: We enrol the device into SOTI The app is installed Launch app Scan QR code and register to SITE1 Reset the app using the settings “RESET App” button, The app relaunches straight back into SITE1 and begins the database download again. Reboot the device Launch the app The app launches straight back into SITE1 and begins the database download again. Reset the app using the settings “RESET App” button, The app relaunches straight back into SITE1 and begins the database download again. Re-install the app Launch the app The app allows us to register the app again using a QR code. If I try a manual wipe whilst on the MDM Settings->Apps->!D Cloud->Storage and press 'Clear Data' it takes me back into the site which the device was last registered to. If I take it off our MDM and uninstall the agent: Unenroll the device from SOTI Uninstall the MobiControl MDM agent Install the app using the same .apk that is in the package Launch app Scan QR code and register to SITE1 Reset the app using the settings “RESET App” button, The app resets and allows us to scan a QR code Scan QR code and register to SITE2 It appears to be the MDM agent which is causing the issue from what I can see. Removing and re-installing the app fixes the issue, however, this is not a feasible solution as our estate grows. I'm wondering if there's anyone that has seen this issue or something like it before? Is there any locations with permissions I can manually change to fix this? Thanks Rob
We've received a number of reports of people losing their email configuration on Android Enterprise enrolled devices. This only seems to be occurring when their password is changed, to resolve the issue we have to revoke the Exchange ActiveSync policy from the device via MobiControl and them install again, which then prompts them to input their email address, username and finally password within the Gmail app. We mainly use Samsung Galaxy A20e devices throughout but there are some legacy devices still in circulation. Any advise to stop this happening will be very useful. Thanks in advanced.
Hello. I am trying to install Soti Agent on my Lenovo Yoga Book (Android 7). After the default recovery, when prompted to add a Google account, I am entering afw#mobicontrol and I receive the message "Couldn't find your Google account". Why can this be? Thanks in advance.
Hi all - newbie to SOTI here. I'm trying to move the apps that are currently packaged and deployed to devices to syncing them with the Application Catalog/Google Play store. I'm doing some testing on our dev instance but doesn't seem to be working. The apps (Google Photos and Inkling) show up in the application catalog within Mobicontrol as an available app on the device but will not install. Is there a setting I'm missing? My SOTI-fu is not strong yet so apologies if I missed a previous post that answered this.
Is there a report which shows Android Security Patch Level per device in MobiControl v13.4.0.5389?
