Hi! Is there anyone who have gotten OEMConfig (Zebra) to work in the Application Catalog Rule with managed google play store. From what I understand you should be able to add a config to the application when it is installed onto the devices? Like for example Google Chrome which also supports "Managed Configuration"
Hello, I am trying to put together a staging process using part of StageNow and then primarily MobiControl for Zebra MC9300 Android devices. I plan to have devices delivered to end users direct from vendor without a configuration applied. The intention is to provide them with documentation on how to get the device connected to wifi and our MobiControl server where they can then contact our HD to have appropriate application configurations applied. My only real issue is getting the device on wifi the way I want. I want to be able to have the end user scan a StageNow barcode to connect the device to our wifi network. However, that is not an option from the factory default state as StageNow is not running. The only option I see is manually adding a wifi network once beginning the setup from factory default setup. Does anyone know of a way to apply wifi config with a scanned bar code prior to beginning the initial setup? Devices are running Android 8.1.
Hello all, we work with mobicontrol in version v13.3.0.3454. We have a lot of device zebra tc75x under android 6 and 7 (+- 700 devices). Server -> window server 2012 R2 -> has 14 gigas of ram / 64 bit OS / 2 processor Since several days; i've noticed since each time i assign a profile to the device , the profile isn't assign ! I try to assign again, or right select retry profile installation , or reboot device ...and often the profile is installed BUT after several try ... I work here since two years without problem about assign profile in first try. Anyone has an idea about this situation or suggestion some check or ? Because, it's very strange and very stress when we plan a assign profile automatically during the night ... Here is it a copy of a screen shot and of course the assign button has been clicked several time and devices reboot also. Thanks for your help guys
Hi I'm trying to disable Wi-Fi on a Zebra TC77 (Device owner) with this script setradioenable wifi 0. It works, however it also disconnects the MobilControl agent and the cellular connection which I'm trying to use. And this makes it impossible to re-connect when the device is i another Country. The same script setradioenable wifi 0 sent to a TC75 (Device admin) gives me the wanted result and I still have connection to the device in MobiControl, so that I'm able to enable Wi-Fi again if needed. I did try to switch the sim cards between the devices without any luck. MobiControl version: 14.3.4 TC77 OEM 01-21-18.00-OG-U00-STD TC75 OEM 02-10-02-LG-00-A So I'm wondering if I'm doing it all wrong here ? Best regards Allan
Hi, I manage to enroll devices (Android Zebra, Samsung, Unitech) in the platform. I can access in remote control ; geoloc info; uninstall the app.But I have difficulties to configure equipments. When I assigned rules (application catalogs) and restrictions profiles (lockdown, ...) to devices but it has no effect. Previously, I had installed on devices the applications mobicontrol / Settings Manager / Soti Surf.Even after a reboot Mobicontrol Settings Manager displays "This app is not yet configured. retry later ... " What could have done wrong? Thanks.
Hi All, I am needing to update a few devices from Android 7 to 8 for testing and I'm unsure the best way to go about it. I have the zip file for the specific version of 8 I want to use, and I file synced it to the test device at /sdcard level, but I'm not sure if that's the correct spot or what script I need to run to get the device to actually install it. Any help? Device is a Honeywell CT60
I have a profile that includes a Feature-Control setting to enable Data Roaming. I have devices picking up this profile, however when I go into the Android settings I can see that roaming is still disabled. Is there another setting that needs to be changed somewhere?
We have a device that is connected back to Mobicontrol over cellular while roaming. The device does not seem to be picking up the latest profile version? I have a device on Wi-Fi that has updated to the latest profile. Is there a setting somewhere for choosing over what connections the profile will update?
Hi @All, when you enable the following option on a tc8300 (Zebra) on Version Mobicontrol 14.43 and Agent 14.0.0.1579 with newest RC-Plugin. The remotecontrol screen gets blacked out. I dont know if thats android related or how the pluging from zebra exactly works, but when disabled the screen isnt blacked out anymore. Just to inform you since there were other Posts where this was occuring. Have a nice day. John
Hello everybody, does someone know if there is a script command to forcefully activate os updateson samsung devices (SM-P580)? My problem is that i can't do an os update on my devices. the function is greyed out. I checked all my profiles and there is no restriction for blocking the os update. but when i unenroll my devices the os functionality comes back. so that means thatmobicontrol is blocking somehow my os update on the devices. i thought i could send a command script to forcefully activate the os update... im running mobicontrol version 14.1 and the devices are running android 7/8. they are not enrolled as android enterprise i hope someone knows the command or maybe a fix for my problem
We are locking down Android Enterprise phones to a few onscreen buttons. One is for action://CONFIGURE_WIFI We are finding that we are able to get to the settings and manually enter Wi-Fi name, but the scan does not work. Is there another corresponding setting that needs to be configured to allow the scan to work? EDIT: The actual cause of this is that the Wi-Fi scan does not work if location is disabled. Not sure why this is related but have been able to confirm this by testing.
Hello, Someone know how to setup the sync frequency Gmail for Exchange in Android Enterprise mode. Gmail work well, all settings for the server are ok, but the sync frequency for fetch the new email is 30 minutes by default. I what the push mode/auto, not 30 minutes. Thank you
I have a managed play store that has 2 mandatory apps which up until a little while ago would install no problem when staging. I am now getting an error in the logs that says "Error message received from device (Package [com.geotab.androidCheckmate] does not contain default activity)". What is the default activity that this app would be looking for?
I had and interesting situation handed to me today. I display the device serial number in the title of the SOTI Kiosk. Even with Disable Copy / Paste feature enabled. The end user can long press on the serial number which brings up the Copy popup. This allows the user to get to the PHONE and other features. Still running: Server 14.1.2 Agent: 13.8.0.1047 Android: 8.1.0 Management: AEDO Thoughts?
Good evening, I have an Android unit Zebra TC56, which I was testing kiosk mode with, but now want to bring back into regular, non-managed/lockdown mode. I reimaged the unit from an SD card that normally use to factory reset a unit with a set config, but now it keeps giving me a newer version of the Mobi control and won't let me enroll. "afw#mobicontrol" was used. How do I get it back to a "as new" unit so I can image it as per our usual and use it as a regular work unit? Thanks for any info on this, Stephen
