Hi together, We are facing a completely new challenge in our company. We need to find a device with android with no own display but with hdmi outlet and if possible it should be powered by PoE. And of course the device needs to be fully compatible with MobiControl. Can anyone give me a hint? We already tried SWEDX and Shuttle but both were not compatible because no OEM Agent exist and no Enrollement Process for Android Enterprise (Work Managed Device) RegardsMarkus
Web filter Restriction does not work in "Chrome v74.0.3729.157" with "Android Enterprise Agent 13.7.2.1015" Android OS v7.0

Hi, we are using Mobicontol and Zebra TC51. I run a skript when a device is not connnected for 1 minute (lesser time seem not possible). The skript is only showing an Messagebox every Minute. This works fine but i want that the device makes noise too. Didn't found anything for that only the send intent in skript commands. With this it should be able to set a timer but i don't know how to set the interval etc. can someone help me with that? Found this: Create a timer To create a countdown timer, use the ACTION_SET_TIMER action and specify timer details such as the duration using extras defined below. Action ACTION_SET_TIMER Data URI None MIME Type None Extras EXTRA_LENGTH The length of the timer in seconds. (1) EXTRA_MESSAGE A custom message to identify the timer. () EXTRA_SKIP_UI A boolean specifying whether the responding app should skip its UI when setting the timer. If true, the app should bypass any confirmation UI and simply start the specified timer. (true) So i think it should be like this, but how to add the Extras? sendintent -b "intent:#Intent;action=android.intent.action.SET_TIMER;?EXTRAS?;end;"

The device is under the group without any configure / profile installed with. I have used the same SIM data card to other devices and work fine for the remote control under 4G data network. I have force only allow 3G/2G connection on the TabA but still can load the remote control (HTML5) screen. The project is just around the corner to production. Currently I am looking at something around 30min to setup a single new tablet on MobiControl. Most of this is waiting for file downloads to the tablets. So I am looking for a way to speed up this process so I started looking in to setting up a dedicated router that passes though a Squid-Cache server or something similar. Has anyone tried to run a local caching server on-site to try and speed up initial provisioning times? Will this work? If so, any tips from anyone that might have tried something like this? Are there any other ideas for how I could speed up these deployment times? I am in reality only downloading around 500MB including tablet FW/Knox updates.
It seems that, if you want to deploy a certificate (using a Certificate configuration in a Policy), you also have to deploy an Authentication policy, according to the warning shown below: So we created an Authentication Policy too, and it surprises us to see that it's not necessary to define a User Password Policy. The 'Device Administrator Password' setting is enough. Is this logical? Because, when installing a certificate on a non-MobiControl-managed device (plain, out-of-the-box Android), one must configure a pincode on the device before a certificate can be installed... SOTI Support has been contacted & have indicated to us that 'if it's working for you right now, it will be ok', but I'm interested in the deeper philosophy behind the above... ;)
Hi,We are using Zebra TC70x GMS devices running Android 7.1.2 with MobiControl using work Managed device and Lockdown Mode.Battery Swap is visible when pressing the power button on the Zebra device, but the app is not opening. If I go to Admin Mode, Battery Swap is not listed among the apps. It is available on the TC70x out of the box.I understand the package name is com.zebra.hotswap, but apart from an instruction about Battery Swap and Device Administrator from Zebra I haven't been able to find any useful info.Any ideas how to get it working?

Hi Samsung XCover 4 running Android 8. Android Enterprise build Server version 14.1.4.1693 Agent version 13.6.0.x being upgraded via Play Store update to 13.7.2.1015 I've had 3 cases in as many days where people have updated the MobiControl agent via the play store - it's been amongst other updates like Maps so they have updated them all - and it has wiped the configuration settings of another app. The affected app is installed from the Play store via Application Manager but that's the only link between the two. Has anyone ever come across a scenario like this before whre updating the agaentand is there anything that can be done to mitigate against it? This app is about to be rolled out to 2000 devices over the coming months and I don't fancy the idea of dealing with issue on a larger scale.
