Hi Everyone, I am searching for an opportunity to create a shortcut for the flashlight in a lockdown. This only belongs Zebra devices with Android 13 in my case. Maybe in the future also M3 Mobile SM15X devices. Does anyone have an idea how to create such a shortcut? As I saw it correctly the flashlight isn't an application itself.
Hi, I have about 100 Zebra devices and need to activate one symbology on all of them. Is there any way I can do this with SOTI or I need to remote access all the devices and activate manually?
Hello! I have been trying to create a profile through PowerShell and the MobiControl API. The end goal is to have a package assigned to it as well. Have been trying the following: Using Content-Type text/xml $xmltest = '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Profile> <Name>APITest_NewProfile</Name> <Description>Test</Description> <DeviceFamily>AndroidPlus</DeviceFamily> <DeviceFamilyQualification>AndroidWork</DeviceFamilyQualification></Profile>' $response = Invoke-RestMethod -Uri "https://$MCFQDN/mobicontrol/api/profiles" -ContentType "text/xml" -Method POST -Headers $Header -Body $xmltest -Verbose I have also tried with a hashtable too, but either way I get the same error:"profileRequest: Error parsing value Contract validation failed" I have looked at the api list, and it appears to me that these is the minimal required fields when not attaching a package. Thanks in advance Mikael
I cannot access the folders/files from %sdcard%\sdcard\android\data\ on Zebra ET45 tablets I need to upload a config file inside another aplication folder, need to do this to 400+ devices so doin it using Soti is the only practical solution I read here that Zebra devices has hidden MANAGE EXTERNAL STORAGE permission (https://discussions.soti.net/discussions/impact-of-android-11-scoped-storage-restrictions-on-android-agent) But for our devices it dosent seem to work I have opened a ticket with support for more than a month now but with no resolution in sight Anyone else encountered this problem?
Hi everyone, We're trying to avoid users can install and run some other Apps different than the deployed ones. We know App Run Control and Whitelist, but cannot create manually a Whitelist for every policy we create and assign, there's too many. Is there any way to create a dynamic App whilelist containing all the deployed Apps in a device? Thank you very much in advance.

Hi everyone, We have 2 Gmail account on Android devices. First one is the automaticly created when Work Managed profile is installed to the device during the enrollment process. The other Gmail account is for Contacts and WhatsApp backup purposes. From the first one (automatic), users can only install the managed Apps we deploy for them using MobiControl. From the other one (manual), users can install every App they wanted to, but this is something we must cut off right away. Is it possible and how we can avoid the user to install any additional App apart from the managed ones on their devices? Thank you very much in advance.
Hello! I am looking for a method of downgrading from Android 10 to Android 9.I have downloaded the HON660-P-88.00.22-(0214).zip (1.6GB) file from honeywell.Issue: When creating a file sync and attempting to upload the .zip it errors out.Created a package and when uploading the package into mobicontrol another error out. I think it might be caused due to size of file? The goal is to standardize our Honeywell endpoints to only run on Android 9. any insight is most welcomed!
Hi everyone, A user has forgotten the screen lock PIN. We try to force a new PIN from the mobicontrol console, but the device does not contact the server. Mobicontrol app may be in power saving mode. We are using a SIM with the PIN disabled to access the Internet (we have 4G/5G coverage). What can we do? Device: SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab Active 3 (SM-T575) qith Android 13 and 15.4.3.1054 agent version Server version: 15.1.5.1005 Regards
As fairly known, scoped storage restrictions are enforced on all device apps. As a result, all Android agents or any third-party app can no longer access files stored in any other app’s app specific external storage. I read quite a lot of discussions in the last days, but not really found a best-practise for my problem. How to access the export files of ZEBRA datawedge profiles via SOTI remote control? Sources I read were: https://discussions.soti.net/articles/impact-of-android-11-scoped-storage-restrictions-on-android-agent https://techdocs.zebra.com/enterprise-browser/3-3/guide/scopedstorage/ https://developer.zebra.com/blog/scoped-storage-enterprise-applications https://discussions.soti.net/thread/android-11-folder-permissions-zebra Can anyone help me with a sample how to solve this on a ZEBRA TC52 device?
Hi, I added a file sync configuration on our device, before updating to the latest version, I can see the file sync results in the servers menu -> file system manager. However, after updating to the latest version we can't find that menu, how do I see the file sync results?
I have one TC77, rencently updated to Android 11 which is failing to install the packages, all returning the error Package "XXX" version X failed to install. Incompatible platform / processor / OS. I've same profiles installed in multiple others TC77 with A11 on it. Comparing the devices, the only difference I see is the Agent Version, this faulty device has version 14.1.4.1010 still.I've tried multiple ways updating the agent on the device, but it just won't due it. The same with the plugin, it is not installing anything to the device. I even had someone, at the site, manually run the agent APK. The installation when thru, but once the device rebooted, it was still with version 14. I'm having the device shipped to office to try a factory reset and see if things work from there. But until I have it in hands, anyone has a suggestion of what else I could look into? We have MobiControl on-premise, v14.4.4.1045 (hopefully next year we move to latest version).
Hi everyone :) I have a question about my Zebra TC52 with Android 8.1 at the moment. When I created the packages with MC Studio, the Android max version was Android 10.Now I'd like to upgrade those TC52 to Android 11. I tried with one TC52 and it seems working even with those old packages, but will I have some issues ? What should I do, create new packages ? Thank you !
I have new rule and alert when unenroll device from console and i want to add custom attribute in to email body but i can not what syntax of custom attribute
