Fully locked device

Hi everyone,

A user has forgotten the screen lock PIN. We try to force a new PIN from the mobicontrol console, but the device does not contact the server. Mobicontrol app may be in power saving mode. We are using a SIM with the PIN disabled to access the Internet (we have 4G/5G coverage). What can we do?

Device: SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab Active 3 (SM-T575) qith Android 13 and 15.4.3.1054 agent version

Server version: 15.1.5.1005

Hi Daniel,

if the device can't connect the Soti Mobicontrol server (which requires a full device unlock ((SIM and) device pin) after a reboot), then the device won't get anything from it. So, you can only wipe the device using the Android recovery menu.

That's one reason we would really like to have direct boot support for Mobicontrol agent on the device but feedback is that this is currently not possible.
