Hi, I have a ticket in for this but thought I'd ask here as well. Samsung must have updated their stock keyboard recently with Spotify, Youtube etc functionality. This subverts the purpose of the lockdown for our users. There must be a plain keyboard .apk that does not allow this added functionality Youtube, Spotify. Does this seem like the correct fix for the issue? If so, could someone point me to it and the basics to install it please? Thank you in advance. c
Hello, My pre-sales engineer setup our SOTI Surf to have a forward back and home soft buttons at the bottom of the screen on Surf. We would like to remove it, but I can't find the setting anywhere. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
Hello All, I've been trying to deploy SOTI Surf 15.6.0 to a Zebra MC93 (Android 11) but without success. The error message is "Package "net.soti.surf" version 15.6.0 Build 7 failed to install. Incompatible platform / processor / OS". I'm working with SOTI Mobicontrol 15.6.0.1018. Any hint? Thank you in advance for any help, Carlos
Hello, we have a problem with SOTI Surf on Android 11 When we make a Screenshot, it will show in file system, see /storage/emulated/0/Download/SOTIsurf/0/.temp/IMG_1658912629480.jpg. In a upload forms to send the screen the websites says successfully uploaded, but no picture was upload. The adb log says the errorMediaProvider: Couldn't find file: /storage/emulated/0/Download/SOTIsurf/0/.temp/IMG_1658912629480.jpg Under Android 10 the upload is functional. Under Android 11 the upload is functional with chrome browser. Where is the problem located and how we can fix this error? I am using SOTI to manage TC52+ devices on Android 10 and need to lock the screen orientation when using SOTIsurf. When i send the scrip (lockdownorientation portrait) to lock orientation the lockdown screen locks but not the Sotisurf.
Hello, i was trying to set SOTI Surf as the default browser. But somehow it is not working. I used the commands from the documentary: set_default_browser net.soti.surf/net.soti.surf.ui.activities.SplashActivity But nothing happens... Hi Is there a way to clear soti surf cache when use launches SURF from Lockdown ? If foudn an article describing to use this : sendinfo net.soti.action.surf clearcache BUT how can I attach this sendinfo command to the lockdown item launching SURF ? thx.

Good Afternoon, I would like to know why an input data list doesn't actually work correctly and if there is a fix it as it's important for our applications that will be used by our employees on SOTI Surf. Hello, We notice a decrease in the battery life of our MC3300 (Oreo) and MC33X (Android10) when we use SOTI Surf. The standby time of the terminals is set to 30min. My customer tells me that the batteries have a life of less than 4 hours.Have you ever noticed a similar problem? Sincerely
Hi, Background: We have for some time used MobiControl Kiosk/Lockdown to launch our own Android apk in order to control how our Kiosk apps would work. Due to that we are now moving torwards iPad, we are then looking into using SOTI Surf. So far it has worked well and we are going to use it on iPad's. However on Android we have discovered that SOTI Surf does not behave in the way we are used to with the keyboard "pushing" up the screen and squeezing it to become smaller. After talking to our developer that made it possible for the keyboard to "adjustResize" on top of the screen, we then started looking at the parameter that was setting this behaviour. Below Android API level 30 it is called: SOFT_INPUT_ADJUST_RESIZEhttps://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/WindowManager.LayoutParams#SOFT_INPUT_ADJUST_RESIZE 30 and Above it is:https://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/Window#setDecorFitsSystemWindows(boolean) From what we can gather and how this works, this would be a setting in the SOTI Surf app, that does not exist today. However, surf has sendinfo that can be used. The Questions: Is it possible to send info to the SOTI Surf App and tell it to slide the keyboard above the screen as the above parameters suggest? Like this: sendinfo net.soti.action.window.setDecorFitsSystemWindows 1sendinfo net.soti.action.windowSoftInputMode adjustResize Or: sendinfo net.soti.action.windowSoftInputMode SOFT_INPUT_ADJUST_RESIZE 0 Only examples above and they do not work. Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way with Soti Surf with "Home Screen" activated in a "Catalog configuration" and Kiosk Mode enabled to be able to switch between the configured websites over the "Home button" without losing the "cached" content. I mean to get always the "last status" from the site and not a "new reload /new window". Also App Bottom/Top bar / Menu is hidden.
In previus version of SOTI Surf, if I wrote something in a text field, then next time I was to wrote in the same field it suggested what I wrote earlier. In the newest version 15.** it don't suggest anything. Anyone know how to make it work again? Thanks
Hi community, I'm using SOTI Surf on TC57X with Android Enterprise. (SOTI MobiControl 15.3.2.1072) When i open the camera dialog via Surf i've to choose between Camera and Data. When i use Chrome the Camera App opens automatically. Is there any way to configure this?
Hello, by using one web app in Surf We'd like to optimize it for a touch display. Can be in Surf used some user custom css / "css inject" feature to set the default style? unfortunately we are not allowed to modify the application at all.. thanks Tomas
