Recently had a batch of Honeywell CK65's come in that were Android 10, up to this point we were using CK65's that were Android 9. It seems as though Honeywell has updated several internal components in the CK65's due to supply chain issues that don't allow you to downgrade to 9. So I'm looking to update all of our existing CK65's to 10. I did a file sync of 90.00.12 and the update went off without an issue.I came from 88.00.17 on my test unit. After the reboot, I noticed two issues.The first is that when I look at Applications under the device, they show as all of them being Uninstalled. With the one exception of the Honeywell UEMConnect software that's a mandatory installed application. The second is with the Native Lockdown mode. None of the applications will fire off.Until, I go into Administrative mode. If I just toggle between Administrative and then User. The applications will work. As soon as I reboot the device, the applications won't function until I bounce between Administrative mode and User mode. The two applications inparticular I've tested with are BasicTE and SmartTE(Staylinked). Android Agent version: 15.1.2.1075Honeywell Plugin version: 1.19.2.118
I am testing the firewall configuration in the Android Classic Profile, and I am having a problem with the cellular data restriction not applying correctly. I am testing by restricting all network traffic on both WIFI and Cellular for the google Chrome application. I have outlined the process I used below along with screenshots for reference 1. screenshot below displays the rule configuration in MobiControl2. screenshot below shows that the profile was successfully installed to the device 3. screenshot below shows in the Deployment server logs that the Knox Firewall rule is being pushed to the device 4. writeprivatestring_FirewallCommand.png shows the specific MobiControl script commands that are being pushed to the device 5. screenshot below shows the commandin logcat on the android phone the IPTables command being run on the device. 6. logcat_enableFirewallFailed.png - shows the line in logcat on Android where it says "Enable Firewall failed" I have verified that the rules I am using successfully restrict traffic on a WIFI network, but for some reason, they do not work over a cell connection (I am using Verizon Wireless) I have tested on a Samsung J3 and a Samsung S21 using the Samsung ELM agent along with varying OS versions and Samsung Knox versions and I get the same result. Can someone help with figuring out why the firewall rule will not apply over a cellular connection?
We just moved some TC75x devices from Android 7.1.2 to 8.1.0 and because of that I had to change the lockdown mode from native to activity suppression so the user can see the top bar. We are having an issue where every once and a while when pressing the yellow scan button, it is opening the recent application list and then kicks the user to the kiosk. I thought this was tied to Android 8 but it is also happening on our 7 devices where I made the lockdown change. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi. I have some Zebra TC26 enrolled on soti wich are running on kiosk mode. They show just one app (company core app) but I will like to add the app manual .pdf formated. If I add the line whit command file:// link appears but nothing happens. the only mode I´ve find was installing the reader onto main screen but i dislike. How I can call a pdf file from this screen? Hello, I've got a problem with the log-in on shared device. sometimes, I have to log in only with "username", sometimes it's nescessary to set the domain before the username, e.g "domain\username". The device is always connected to public internet, not to an internal wifi network. I don't know how to affect the credentials, is there a solution for that? BR

Hello, Is there a way to have specific apps not uninstall under Android Enterprise with managed Google Playstore? I have a use use where I want a specific app not able to uninstall but want to give end users the flexibility to uninstall other apps as necessary. This issue is similar to https://discussions.soti.net/discussions/zebra-tc21-devices-not-responsive-when-remotely-controlled but the provided solution did not work for me. I reference this link in my text below. I encountered the same issue with my TC26:s recently (essentially the same device as TC21, but with WLAN). The remote screen is black, showing a digital clock and a lock. Sending notify kiosk off did disable the kiosk, but the remote control session did not show this - still black screen. While I did have issues with plugins, the mentioned scripts did not help. At first I was unable to start remote control at all. Web version was only white, legacy version said "Waiting for device" or similar. I had the plugin "RC Virtual Display" and no matter what I did it stayed like this. I had to assign the mentioned plugin to a profile, UNASSIGN IT, and then it worked - now I got "Zebra RC" plugin and remote session started working. However, I now face the black screen issue. To bypass the black screen I have to change the zoom level to Fit Screen, then send the Device Menu action from the RC interface. Now the screen is unlocked and I can view it as expected. Any ideas on how to fix this permanently? Other devices do not have this issue, only my TC26:s. However, on Samsung's Android Enterprise devices (xCover 5 with Android 11), these certificates are only transferred and not installed. The certificates are only installed when a device password is set. Since the device password is unfortunately not an option, I am looking for a way to install the certificates automatically. Hello, we are using a software on a Zebra TC72, which needs to be updated everytime the server receives an update. If I am not using SOTI, the APP will tell you that there is a new version available, ask you if you like to update and run the update. If I use SOTI, the App brings up an error, that the update could not be run. I assume, that this has to do with SOTI, not 100% sure. Is there a setting or something, where I can allow the App to update itself. I would like to avoid doing the update every month, if possible. Thanks
Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way with Soti Surf with "Home Screen" activated in a "Catalog configuration" and Kiosk Mode enabled to be able to switch between the configured websites over the "Home button" without losing the "cached" content. I mean to get always the "last status" from the site and not a "new reload /new window". Also App Bottom/Top bar / Menu is hidden.
