Hi all, we're using SOTI MobiControl (On-Premise) and saw in some warnings in our Microsoft Defender for Identity Portal. SOTI MC is doing Kerberos requests against our Domain Controllers using the Device IDs of our Zebra devices: This is happening every 2 hours when the device agent does a check in. Is this an configuration issue or a normal behavior? Is there anything we can do in order to stop this? Best regards, Patrick
HI, We widely use Samsung phones in our company, ranging from A50 to A52. They are all enterprise enrolled. The issue is when a phone is not actively used or sits unused for a few days, it loses the connection with Mobicontrol, so the phone appears offline in Mobicontrol and any commands issued from the console are not getting to the phone. We have had cases when users left the company or were terminated, the phones were not brought to I.T in time, so they lost the connection with MC. The phones are locked to the user PINs or Patterns. We can't use Mobicontrol to disable passcode lock. We have ended up with several good phones now bricked because we can't unlock them. Not sure why the MC agent does not remain online. The phones have wifi connection or data connection. We cannot even reboot the phones to recovery mode. They will not even get wiped after 10 attempts of wrong PINs. Without connection back to mobicontrol, the phone is completely useless. If anyone can shed some light, it's greatly appreciated. Are there any settings in mobicontrol we can set to keep the agent online all the time or some way (back door or something) to unlock the phones when they are not communicating with MC? Thank you much!
Hello, We are create a new file sync rule and after we tried to send this rule to the device, but after we send the file the following script didn't run. we use this script: chmod 777 /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/dwprofile_surf.db Maybe we need another script or what could be the problem? thanks
We are still using some Intermec/Honeywell 3K3X devices running Windows Mobile 5.2 that we'll be retiring later this year. Before that, however, we have a need to deploy the Entrust Root Certification Authority (G2) root and intermediate certs. I know how to deploy these, but I want to validate that they are working. Entrust offers a validation site (https://validg2.entrust.net/), but the site won't work in the IE version on the device. Further, I have yet to find a browser that will both load the site and that uses the device's cert store and not a separate one for the browser. Does anyone know of:- a browser that works with WinMo 5.2 AND supports HTML5 AND uses the device's browser store- some other way to validate the certI happened across this article - https://support.nmi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360021544791-How-to-Check-If-the-Correct-Certificates-Are-Installed-on-Linux - which made me realize I could use cURL to validate, but I have yet to be able to find a cURL implementation for Windows Mobile. Any help you can offer is appricated.
It’s just an informational Question, if there’s an javascript command, with which I could query the OEM-Version of a Zebra TC56/57 handheld for using in a self-created website? (for the Enterprise Browser that’s installed on the Zebra TC56-devices)I recently found a command to query the OS-Version, the second step would be to query the OEM-Version. The purpose is to create a full automated installation-process for the Zebra Handhelds with pre-detection of Android Version and OEM-Version.Kind regards, Peter Petry
Hello,We are updating our fleet of Zebra TC52 from Android 8.1 to Android 11. FYI, our MobiControl Deployment Server (version 14.1) has no internet connection (on-premise solution). It runs on Windows Server 2016. We had previously SHA1 certificate on this server because there was also several Windows CE devices. This is not anymore the case, we have only Android devices connected to this DS. Problems happens when i try to generate SHA256 certificate to the Deployment Server (and all others) from the new SHA256 root certificate generated 2 years ago. Same case with freshly generated root certificate. This fails (Message of type NullReferenceException). Procedure : in MCAdmin Utility, i clicked on the SHA256 root certificate, clicked on Deployment Server in the Certificate Bindings list, and then "Change" button, then i clicked on "Generate" on the Select Certificate window, and then selected the SHA256 Root CA and "Generate Certificate" and it fails (Message of type NullReferenceException). I already logged a case, the perso from Soti did take remote to see what happened, and nothing more... It doesn't helped me. Have you got an idea ? Another problem : We also have another small issue: the MobiControl lockscreen keeps coming back when using an application, which is annoying for users entering production statements. Thanks
I'm relatively new to work profiles and how they work.I have an oppo Android 10 device enrolled in Soti as work profile.Yet only a few apps are showing in the work environment which include: Chrome, contacts, Files, Google, Mobicontrol and Playstore.I have 2 questions regarding apps.1. How can I add the standard camera app (available in Personal) to my work profile?2. What are the methods of adding other apps to the work profile (not already present on the device)- Custom apps- Playstore appsHope others have more experience with this. Thanks in advance.
Our system is currently on-premise.We want to restrict internet access to our fleet of Zebra devices, however we use the following functions:Enrollment of devices to SOTI.Utilisation of the managed play store to deploy managed apps from SOTI.Deployment of Zebra Patches through OTA.We would like to understand what URLs we need to use for the above functionality so that we can whitelist these on our firewall.
Mobicontrol -Version: 15.0.1.1181soti agent ver: 15.0soti surf 15.3honeywell ck65 android 10Normally we use a lockdown page to hide all the setting but in this case we will not. On a couple of these devices we are not using any Lockdown pageDesired Outcome:Do not want the user's to access Android SettingsWant Admin to be able to use the Android Settings (in case something needs to be changed in settings)On first try I went to Application Run Control in the Profile and blacklistDevice Settings %settings% which removes the gear all-together However now Admins cannot access the device settings because the gear is gone How can I approach this: want the admins to access device settings but users not access device settings One other note: when I blacklist list, is it stopping any of the internals from working properly? or is it just hiding the Icon??
Hi, We are planning to upgrade our current SOTI MobiControl server from version 14.4.3.1153 to the latest 15.5.0. First we will update Windows server from version 2012 R2 to 2016. Then the SQL from version 14 to version 16. Half of our devices have Android 6.0 with agent version 13.7.0.1031. The other half are with Android 11 and agent 15.0.1.1051. So my question is in the title: Will agent versions 15.0.1.1051 and 13.7.0.1031 work with server version 15.5.0? Thank you!
Hi, Can someone provide guidelines regarding Installing/binding/using third-party SSL cert on a on-premise serveur with soti v15.5 ?
Hello community, in some apps like Microsoft Teams you can't dictate texts. The microphone icon is missing and I cannot activate speech to text in the settings when the devices are in lockdown. As soon as I am in admin mode, I can activate this function. Does anyone have a solution for me?
Hello, I would like to know why a G Suite account is not accepted with a "Managed Enterprise" scenario. Do we mandatory need to follow the "Google Domain" way? Can somebody please clearly explain what's the difference between the 2 options? Thanks!
Hi everyone, can I add the information of the user who is logged into the console in the email alert? Thank you. Regards,
