I need to use the API : PUT /devices/{deviceId}/customAttributes/{customAttributeId} This API requires the CustomAttribute ID as a parameter and I don't know where to find it. I tested the GET /customattributes API to get the ID, but it's not part of the response. I also poked around in the DataBase, but I don't see a table name that allows me to direct my search to the CustomAttributes to retrieve the IDs. Has anyone experienced this problem?
Good morning i have several hundred devices (Honeywell EDA71) which have been enrolled using the afw#mobicontrol method. i have added an package and i am getting the File i/o error and it wont install. i have managed to remote to one device and manually turn off google play protect and the app then installs when a force package reinstallation. is there a way to turn this off via a script as i cant manually remote to each device to turn it off thanks Daryl update: i have found this in another thread but it does not seem to work writesecureprofstring DeviceFeature DisableVerifyApps 1 apply featurecontrol
Hi, Would it be possible to run an .sh file from the Linux Lockdown? The question rises mainly because we have an application that starts by running an .sh file, but being able to start scripts from Lockdown, could also come in handy in other situations. Our current environment is 15.4.1 Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, I have been trying to prevent Mobicontrol agent from upgrading but so far have been unsuccessful. We're deploying AE Mobicontrol agent v14.5.5 via QRCode and placing into a lockdown profile. Add rules where the agent download points towards both google play and local server have not prevented the upgrade. So far restrictions implemented include Device Agent Upgrade Enabled = No Device group - Advanced Config - Agents and Plugin Upgrade Settings - Deselect all options (wifi, cellular etc) Max agent compatibility version in db = 14.5.5 The closest I have got is placing Mobicontrol as a managed google play application and setting the MGP play update policy to Never Update. However, a notification that the update is available is still presented to the user, who can navigate to google play store and manually update the agent. Unfortunately, I cannot turn off all notifications, due to customer requirement for other app notifications and a need for activity suppression lockdown. Further, Never update means other MGP applications will no longer auto-update. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Adam

Hello, we used mobicontrol on version v14.3 We used zebra tc75x devices under android 7. We think to used now new device under android 11 like the zebra TC77... I would like to find a table of devices supported by this version of mobicontrol ... I know we need to enroll this device under android entreprise but is this version of mobicontrol support this device TC77 ? Thanks
I've read other posts about this but everything I've tried to this point hasn't worked so I figured I'd open this up to the community. Here is our scenario: MobiControl Cloud instance 15.3 Android Classic device agents 15.0.1.1051 We are using Sonim XP8 devices only. Devices are used in the service industry and are locked down via lockdown screen. Devices have no access to apps outside of what is displayed on the lock down page. Yes, I've tried Android Enterprise but it doesn't work for our environment. Especially the remote assistance part where permission is required. Before Android 10 we were able to roll out APKs and silently install without issue. As we are all aware, when running some apps for the first time, users will be prompted for Location, Storage, Camera, etc. access before use. The problem is, when the device is Locked Down, users can't accept those permissions. Device admins must unlock the device, accept the permissions then lock the device. But even if the user could accept these permissions, they may tap the wrong answer making the apps useless, especially when it comes to location. How do we work around this? It is imperative that when we add or update apps, that our technicians can pick up their devices and get to work without having to deal with prompts and unlocks. If anyone can shed light on this, it would be greatly appreciated. If possible, I'd like to keep answers limited to the SOTI environment only without having to introduce 3rd party solutions mixed in.
I am writing some scripts with the help of the SOTI Android Agent JavaScript API Reference. With the help of the examples in the documentation I have always reached my target. Only with the commands "mobicontrol.network.IpAddress" or "mobicontrol.network.Network" I did not be able to read the data. Is there a simple example how this works?Thank you

Hi I would like to know, how do I get noticed as an admin, when a client is switched off his mobicontrolled mobile, then removed SIM card, then used it somewhere personal. After that inserted back to the original mobile and Switch ON. He might have drained the data package on SIM which Mobicontrol not aware, because all these done while the mobicontrolled mobile is switched off. How we can address this issue? We have a handful of devices that used to be enrolled in our Mobicontrol environment on a profile that requires a PIN to be set and a Factory Reset not allowed. These devices have been deleted from our Mobicontrol environment but the unknown PIN still remains on the tablet. I cannot perform a hard factory reset from the power on screen as it notes MDM prevents it. Also for some reason we have it set that after 10 failed attempts it should factory reset but that is not happening. How can I factory reset these devices?
Hello We are using Zebra TC21 scanners, that we lock down via device control with authentication policy as disable lock screen As these are in production environments the supervisors have the admin password to unlock the scanners so they can perform a data storage clear of a Dynamics NAV app that occasionally goes haywire. My question is how can I set a timer that automatically reenables the agent mode after a set time or can I run a script that will re-enable it, as the supervisors sometimes forget? additionally is there a script to clear the storage for a given installed application? any help would be appreciated.
hi all, since we have updatet our mobicontrol installation to ver. 15.4.1 the webconsole is very slow, also i can see that the management server is running on 100 % cpu usage. after restart the management service the system is running fine but the console is still slow. mark
