Hi, I am trying to use the GET /devices/search endpoint. Does anyone know the syntax for the filter params and the key name for "Hardware Serial Number" ? The API doc also mentions that "=" are also retired from mobicontrol v 15. I have tried but so far have been unsuccessful. devices/search?filter=Hardware%20Serial%20Number%20%3D%20MYSERIALNUMBER (Hardware Serial Number = MYSERIALNUMBER) Thanks Adam

Hello everybody, I wanted to make the following query about the Android update system through SOTI. We are implementing a system, in which, during several days of the week, the update file would be copied to the various terminals, and on a different day the update would be installed. The problem is, that during the tests we had a mishap, according to the logs of the SOTI rule that is responsible for copying the files to the terminals, this file had been copied correctly in all the terminals, but on the day of execution, We checked that only a certain number of them had been updated, we checked the terminals and to our surprise, they did not have the update file copied but in the rule logs it appeared the opposite. At this point, I thought about using an .xml file to create a custom data, so that it would be downloaded together with the update file, but when redirecting the custom data to the xml information, it did not detect it and in SOTI The field does not appear, the name of the custom data does appear but without information. Has something similar happened to someone else? What update systems do you have implemented for android terminals? Do you have any ideas or suggestions about how I could solve the custom data problem, or any improvement for the update system? My SOTI version is: 14.1.5.1284 and the terminals are mostly TC52 and WT6000. Thank you very much to all.
Has anyone else had problems with MobiControl not getting rid of expired certificates? I have a subset of devices that are using a device level cert assigned through a template to the CA (that my Admin setup) where the expired certificate does not get removed from the device. This then cause problems on several levels: 1. VPN does not use the correct cert 2. Unable to remove the Cert through the Console. 3. If I revoke the NetMotion configuration profile, the configuration gets uninstalled, but the cert does not uninstall, now this profile is stuck in a Removing Status. The only way that I have been able to clean up the device is delete it and re-enroll it which is not an acceptable solution as most of my devices are remote around the world. MobiControl Console: 14.1.2.1937 Agent: 14.4.4.1051 Device: Zebra TC75x / TC77 OS: Android 8.1 Management Mode: Android Enterprise Anybody have any thought? This has been happening on about 4% of my devices. I have opened a ticket with support, but they have not responded yet. Thanks, Jim
I'm having some trouble with getting the screen to not timeout when in lockdown. I have the Authentication profile pushed out with "disable lock screen" selected. The phones will be on person most the time so the Feature profiles "keep screen on while charging" won't be so helpful. I have attempted pushing out the script "writesecuresetting - sys screen_off_timeout 600000" for a 10 min screen timeout, but it never changes the settings on the phones we are testing with. I'm not sure if that is a generic android script that will work on any device or for Zebra phones that I have successfully used it for previously or the Authentication profile is blocking it in some way. Devices: Pixel 5 and Spectralink Versity 9553 Mobi Agent: 14.4.6 Build 1001 (Spectralink requested the apps be set to not update) 14.5.0 Build 1011 (Pixel is not being restricted) Mobi Server: Version: 15.2.2.1080 (Cloud)

Hi, Is it possible to delete all SMS messages from all devices INBOX folder? Or remotely disable SMS notifications? The reason: Recently our APN provider send mass SMS message ot all customer for some GDPR policy changes. In result our Android devices (with custom app running in full screen custom kiosk mode) have constantly blinking LED. Which is annoying and consume battery. Thank you!
Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 OS: Android 9 Agent Version: Android Plus ELM 14.5.0.1011 (latest) So I have a lockdown screen with various apps (including our own). Usually, I would setup the lockdown with "launch:(...)". This has been working just fine on our other devices for years... But for the Samsung Tab Active 2, I wasn't able to send the app in the background and restore where I left. So I added "Launchalwayswithrecents:" on the desired apps. 1) issue: We now have this warning in the Logs: "Custom log (LaunchAlwaysWithRecents has been superseded by LaunchWithRecents and is now deprecated. It may be removed in the future.)" No big deal. I guess Launchwithrecents will do the same... 2) I would like to be able to switch between app without restarting the app from the start all the time... especially with our app. the Regular launch is working fine on other devices... 3) fixing the issue by adding launchwithrecents causes new issues when we have crashes in our app... it restores in a mixed state all the time. the regular "launch" makes it work when we have crashes... so... after many hours of playing around. I found out that setting EVERY app to "launchwithrecent" except from our own app allow us to reboot properly on crashes and keep the navigation in between apps active. There is only one catch! all the other apps need to be already launched to be able to switch. I feel like there is a mixed up in the "launch" vs "launchwithrecent" on first launches vs subsequent launches..<.. FINALLY, I removed the lockdown and tried all of the launches and switching actions on the regular OS... everything works just like I would expect... I don't know why when it come to the lockdown, everything get scrambled.
Once a Pixel 5 has entered lockdown how are you able to access the Administrator password? Normally you would hold the back button for a few seconds but there is no back button on these newer phones. To go back you have to slide your finger from one side or the other to perform the function. When you do this on a Pixel phone in lockdown it does nothing (other than the back function), the phone does not register that you are holding the back button when you hold the swipe feature. Any suggestions?

Due to various reasons we need to be able to acces a local html page that contains javascript on our devices.However I can't seem to add file:/// or file:// in the soti surf config. it only allows http and https.I know its a strange setup working with local html pages but the local html page passes a unique identifier to the real urls that are used by the users. So I can't make the .html accessible with a webserver because there is a minor difference in the .html for each device.So is it possible to access a local .html file using soti surf? And if not, is it possible using another browser that is in a sort of kiosk mode? We are using the android lockdown to lock down our devices.
Hi all, New to SOTI currently trying on a trial. I've been looking through the MobiControl Help page to get familiar with certain features our company wants to make use of. I was able to successfully push applications and updates which is quite nice as we have many devices. My question is, does SOTI offer any training or are there some resources out there that I can learn more about MobiControl? Thanks!
