Hello, I have a Samsung phone that is pin locked from an ex employee. when attempting to perform a manual factory reset, the option is not available on the list in recovery mode on the device. Is this something that gets altered by the Mobicontrol console for Samsung devices. when you select the prevent factory reset option in device profile? the device cannot connect to the server for me to perform any script commands. Samsung Galaxy X Cover Pro Android Enterprise Zero touch enrollment Work managed device with Managed google play account Console version 15.2.3.1033, cloud based. I have been told by support that this is a Samsung issue. I'm asking for a second opinion because other android devices I have in production have that option on the list. Any help is appreciated. Hi all, I'm trying to figure out how to set the font and display size on an Android device through scripting. Seen many topics here about scripting but didn't found what I was looking for. First try was to enable watchsettings through script => Script command is not supported by device Second attempt was to check the android API, but get a bit lost. Anyone experience of setting the font/display size by scripting for an Android 10 telephone? (Agent version 14.5 build 1011 - MDM API = Advanced Android Plus 1.0, Android Plus 1.16, Work managed device, RC+)
Hello all, its there possibility how to quickly switch languague/keyboard languague on some Zebra TC56/57 devices with android 8?
I'm looking to find the proper scripting syntax to set the text on a Zebra TC52 lock screen to be the Device ID. This can be manually set in Settings > Display > Advanced > Lock Screen > Add text on lock screen. I've checked through various documentation and found the "deviceOwnerLockScreenInfo" value in the Android API, but haven't found a way to set this through SOTI. I've tried using the "watchsettings on" script, but it is not supported by the device according to logs. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Hi, I have an issue where the built-in app Google keeps crashing on Zebra TC26 terminals running Android 10. As far as I can figure out, the package name is: com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox So I found out that clearing the storage and clearing the cache and then rebooting the device solves the issue. I have a few hundred of these devices with this error, so I need to do it by script. Preferrably schedule it once every day. Tried this command from SOTI MobiControl, but it seemed it did nothing: wipeapplication com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox How can I do this? Regards Jarl
We have to integrate some Android 10 and 11 solutions to our environment. There are some solutions which parameters we would like to set by MC console. Some of this parameter demand information that is available by MACROS as %IMEI% or by custom data. I could not find a way to create a .ini file or .xml file in the device that could receive such values, but we may see the information reaches the device, because in the lock down menu it shows as passed. Is there a way to an app request to MC agent a custom attribute or values such IMEI ? Is there a way, by script ou rule, to write a file, which content includes the IMEI and Custom:Data? Up to now, my solution has been to create a filesync rule and, by its post sync script, rename it to the %IMEI%.xxx (%IMEI% could be any macro I want to share, including custom attributes or custom data) The application in the device searchs for the .xxx file and by checking its name finds what would be the content. Other way was to pass it by send intent command, but I could not find how to do it in the lockdown launchers. If there were a way to the app inquire directly to the MC agent, it would be better.
Hello, I have several Zebra devices (TC20, TC25, TC26 ...), for which I have created different profiles (Android Enterprise) in Kiosk mode (Lockdown). In all of them, I install Datawedge and the configuration profile, using a package The thing is, I can't get the profile to copy correctly to the location I want, so that it self-applies. Routes: (Image1) Source: D:\_SOTI_\DEVICES\PDAS\TC25\Configs\Datawedge\dwprofile_TC25.dbTarget: /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/datawedge.db or Target: %sdcard%/Android/data/com.symbol.datawedge/files I can't get this file to be copied to the specified destination! I also tried to perform a rule and it does not transfer to the desired location either. Hi everyone, Recently I enrolled around 90 Samsung A01 devices for 1 of my client. I enrolled it using AE through Zero Touch portal. My Mobicontrol version is 15.3.0.6711 After enrollment i found out 1 device can't do Remote Control. The API that showed only Remote View. It's weird because the rest of the device all can do Remote Control. Anyone experienced this before? Maybe someone has suggestion to my issue.. Thanks & regards, Randy Saputra
soti v 15 agent v 14.5 android 10 device honeywell ck65 we have lockdown page lockdown = native, native notifications on we have on lockdown page two items, outlook and an internal app while on Lockdown page the "outlook" will show fine in the notifications bar however when I open our internal app the "notifications bar" is hidden the app seems to "hide" the notifications bar? I've turned on activity suppression from native but that still doesn't do what we need. I want the notifications bar shown while that internal app is loaded, otherwise the user can't see when an email is received, although the sound is heard here is another pic while in app, no notification bar is showing Update: further testing, when the "floating home button" is disabled, as in the screen shot below, the "outlook notification" above will not show, however when "floating home button" is enabled it will show as above in the first pic only, doesn't fix my original question though, on my zebra mc9300 when floating home button is enabled, it actually shows that floating home button but this may be a feature of android 11 because these ck65 have android 10
Is there a script (or other method) I can send to a device to have it beep or make some sort of noise? We're trying to implement some steps to find devices that employees "hide" in the warehouse. Devices are all MC930B and MC930B Cloud Mobicontrol v15.2.6.1006 Android v8.1 SOTI Agent v14.4.6.1001
Info:Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T580Mobicontrol Agent 14.0.0 Build 1579SOTI Surf 14.3.2 Build 152 Hello, I have been working to try and get SOTI Surf to open a website in kiosk mode to create display tablets. Loading SOTI Surf automatically was no problem. However, shortly after SOTI Surf turns on, the Mobicontrol Agent shuts down. After this, the device goes offline in the SOTI Mobicontrol console and cannot be managed or remotely controlled until someone goes to the tablet, closes SOTI Surf and reopens Mobicontrol Agent. I was searching around and I can't seem to find any past solutions to this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello, We've got an old version of MobiControl v10.0 build 9619. Do you know were I could find the setup for this version because we don't have anymore the setup? Thanks in advance.
We run a transport app that runs the whole time and requires a new apk every few months. I'm looking for a way to be able to deploy this update in in some sort of self install capacity and I fear that self install via the mobicontrol would be a little bit difficult for some operators. Currently if I deploy an update of said app while it is use it logs out of the app which is problematic if they currently have a job dispatched.
Hi, I have been scratching my head for a way to send a script to an Android device that will read a text file and then essentially do a find and replace for a string of text. We do this frequently with out Windows CE devices using the built-in replacetxt script within MobiControl. I've tried to research some javascript options, but I really don't have any javascript experience. EX: File: /mnt/sdcard/documents/app/config.txt - File contains various configurations in a XML type layout. There may be a string in there like an IP address or URL that I'd like to be able to change programmatically with a script, so it could be sent to 100s of devices at a time. Any help is greatly appreciated.
