Hello, We have Android Enterprise devices in COPE mode. We want to retrieve the email address of the Professional account entered manually by the employee (Google account). Hello, since several days now, we have installed the mobicontrol on version 14.4.9.1034 All our devices are migrated WITHOUT problem.. I have only device zebra TC75X with android 7 enroll android + with agent on version -> 14.1.6 build 1018. But since today, i notice on some device, i see on web console icon for to make remote connexion (downloadable plugin) BUT for some device the icon is not present !!!! Device is the same, I've try to reboot device -> always same icon not present agent is update also but nothing change Have you got any idea ? thanks for all

Is it possible to send a script to a device to launch an application? The device is enrolled as Work Managed and is locked down in a kiosk. We have built an application to change an OS level setting when ran but only want to run it once so ideally we don't want to add it to the kiosk.ThanksJosh.
Looks like our v15.01 has sql express 2014 the newer version according to docs comes bundled with sql server 2016 express Does anyone know if this will upgrade the sql properly from 2014 to 2016? I don't want to break anything during the upgrade process I'm wondering if another solution would be to ugrade sql first and then run the installer? we have some older windows mobile devices, looks like they are still suppose to work with the newer version Thanks in Advance
hi everybody, we run MobiControl version 14.2.2 amd we've been asked to replace Oracle Java runtime with OpenJDK. In one test environment where I could test this migration with SOTI 15 I had no problems, but unfortunately on prod environments it is still not possible to upgrade the MobiControl version due to a not possible outage. Unfortunately it looks like everything goes smooth apart from the MCSearch service which, when OpenJDK is in place, cannot start. I am trying with OpenJDK version 11: C:\Windows\system32>java -versionopenjdk version "11" 2018-09-25OpenJDK Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11+28)OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11+28, mixed mode) I did following actions: - extracted the zip file under D drive with folder named jdk-11 - stopped MCSearch service - uninstalled Oracle java runtime - rebooted server (Win2016) - created env variables JAVA_HOME and MC_JAVA_HOME with value D:\jdk-11 - edited PATH env variable to add D:\jdk-11\bin and %JAVA_HOME%\bin - created reg keys [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft][HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment]"CurrentVersion"="1.8"[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.8]"JavaHome"="D:\\jdk-11""RuntimeLib"="D:\\jdk-11\\bin\\server\\jvm.dll" When trying to start MCSearch through the Windows services window I receive error stating that it is not able to start with error code 4. If I look in the logs in fact, it looks like the problem is that "it cannot find the file specified". The event viewer instead just tells: "The MobiControl Search service terminated with the following service-specific error: The system cannot open the file." I also tried to uninstall MobiControl and reinstall it, but no luck. Of course, reinstalling the Oracle java runtime, everything restarts to work pretty fine. Hi all, this is my environment: Server Version: 15.1.0.3416 Device: Honeywell RT10A (Android Version 9) Agent Version: HoneywellMobiControl1440NewGen_1028.apk Reading the documentation the profile Per App VPN: F5 SSL should be possible to automatically start a vpn connection when an app initiates network communications. Is that correct? At the moment i have configured a lockdown with two buttons: Sonicwall Mobile Connect and Ivanti Velocity. I'm trying to configure the device with one single button so that when the user starts the browser (Ivanti Velocity) also the connection is started. On the device is already assigned an authentication profile. The installation fails with the message "failed to install, because all of its payloads cannot be installed". Are there any other requirements needed? Do you have any suggestions? Thank you really much in advance.

Hi,i try to push an android upgrade that works on all 6.0.1 versions but i cant push it to the 7.1.2 android versions.We use Zebra TC70x and TC51 Both can't be upgrade with a 7.1.2 android version.I do it right: 1. Push the file to the SD card.2. Run the script: sendintent -b "intent:#Intent;action=com.symbol.intent.action.UPDATE_PACKAGE;S.file=/sdcard/FPU_ATLAS_02-32-04.00-OG-U00-STD.zip;endI already tried both Zebra plugins but that didnt do the trick.Hawke eye and the other one.
Hello dear Soti Team,We are currently experiencing some problems with some Android 9 (Android Plus) Honeywell CT60s. We noticed that many devices are displayed as offline in the web view. We then noticed that the Mobicontrol Agent can no longer be opened on the devices and that the agent takes up the entire memory space of the device (15GB). The device can therefore no longer be administered.I read in the forum that this could be a bug in the SQL database on the device:https://discussions.soti.net/kb/android-enterprise-and-oem-specific-agents-are-crashing-after-agent-upgrade/Agent 14.3.4.1006 is currently installed on all affected devices.It is possible to copy a new agent via USB and install it over the device. I was able to install the following version: HoneywellMobiControl1442NewGen_1039.However, the problem persists, presumably because the defective and cluttered SQL database is still present in the background.Unfortunately, we have the feature control with "Disable removal of Mobicontrol Agent" active, which is why we are unable to completely remove the agent beforehand.Is there any way we can remove the complete Mobicontrol Agent installation in order to start a fresh installation of the agent? Unfortunately, Mobicontrol is still functional enough to prevent us from uninstalling it.It would be very bad for us if we now have to reinstall devices worldwide. Cheers Maik
Hi, We have successfully built several hundred Samsung devices over the last couple of years using Mobicontrol. However, the latest Samsung A21 phone and Galaxy Tab A7 tablet are giving us problems. Every one we build is OK until it is restarted, and then it becomes unresponsive and you often cannot even enter the PIN - it either freezes or goes black. If we re-start them a few times (difficult since the icons don't respond properly) they sometimes work OK, but another re-start and the problem comes back. We have seen this in the factory, and our customers have reported it. If we remove the device from SOTI/remove the Mobicontrol agent then the tablet appears to work as normal. Not sure why, as the agent seems to start AFTER the PIN is entered. Obviously this is causing major problems as we have had to stop building devices for customers. Anybody got any ideas? Hello, i have a file-sync rule implemented, that transfers data of a an APP and its APK-File to Zebra TC56-Devices with Android 8. In general it works, cause i installed several handhelds this way: first transfer, then install of apk-file. No problem yet when having new installed devices. Now i wanted to reinstall the app and uninstalled it. After that the Transfer should be startet again and so on... But now the transfer is not getting started after deleting the folder in /sdcard/Android/data/* Does anybody had the same issue and solved it? I have the following options activated: There is definitely no old data present, so the rule should see that "files are different" (in this case "not present", while present on server). I already tried it with "when source is newer", but that also fails. Kind regards, Peter Petry/Germany
Hi all, hopefully someone of you already did it and can help: We want to set a Chrome Flag (https://web.dev/nfc/#use)(--enable-experimental-web-platform-features or chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features) How to set it via Mobicontrol? I don't see any possiblity to set it in the application settings in application catalogue rule but maybe i have overseen that. When i set it on Windows/Android i get this as a part of the chrome://local-state/: {"browser":{"enabled_labs_experiments":["enable-experimental-web-platform-features"]}}Is this what i have to enter into Configuration URI?It's hard to Test because Chrome is already part of a application catalogue rule, wo i don't know if this will make problem setting this in a second rule for same device.
Hi folks, Hope someone can help? I have a profile containing a single application package. I've assigned it to a couple of device groups and the deployment of the application has completed to the handheld. However, I wanted to then remove it from of the groups, but when I refreshed the screen one of the assigned groups is not showing as having the package deployed any longer. The following screen shots show my progress. 1. I had a profile assigned to the "test system" group, I added the second 'Weyland' group here and SOTI clearly shows 3 devices targeted:- 2. Here it clearly shows successfully assigned message on the far right and we have a update/refresh red tag as expected: - 3. There are some updates here, so let's press it: - 4. Having refreshed though, the target groups has not been updated to reflect the new device group: - 5. The profile and subsequent package has been deployed to the hand held in this device group and I now want to remove it. However, when I try and remove the assign to the device group, I can't as it isn't showing that it has been assigned: - Can anyone suggest why this isn't being updated correctly? Kind regards, Jono
