Hello, has anyone problems with FileSync Rules after Upgrading to MC 15.3 ? I have already in two installations the issue that the AE Agent goes immediately offline if there is a filesync rule targeting the device. The FileSync Rule was already existing and working in MC 15.2.4 (transfering OSUpdates to Zebra Android Devices) Agent Versions tested: 14.4.3 and 14.4.4Devices: Zebra WT6000 (Android 7.1) and Zebra MC33 (Android 8.1) Devices connects with Server and immediatly closes the connection, and this is all couple of seconds. As soon as the FileSync Rule is disabled, the device agent connects and stays connected. greetingsMartin
Is there a way to realize a file sync rule that sync onetime for each target device? If a target device is online the file sync should triggers once. If a target device is offline the file sync should triggers once when the device gets online. --> Like the behaviour of a profile with a package where it gets installed exactly once. We tried the schedule functions but it seems that they aren't reliable when defining a "once schedule".
Hello, i have a file-sync rule implemented, that transfers data of a an APP and its APK-File to Zebra TC56-Devices with Android 8. In general it works, cause i installed several handhelds this way: first transfer, then install of apk-file. No problem yet when having new installed devices. Now i wanted to reinstall the app and uninstalled it. After that the Transfer should be startet again and so on... But now the transfer is not getting started after deleting the folder in /sdcard/Android/data/* Does anybody had the same issue and solved it? I have the following options activated: There is definitely no old data present, so the rule should see that "files are different" (in this case "not present", while present on server). I already tried it with "when source is newer", but that also fails. Kind regards, Peter Petry/Germany
How can I setup an e-mail alert for failed file syncronization? I've found alert rule only for successful file syncronization.
I managed to find a very useful post on the forum explaining how to use datawedge autoimport functionality. It partially worked for us: the file gets copied into /enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport/ location and the profile installs (reinstalls) AFTER the reboot. I could not get it to work without rebooting the device. HOWEVER, the profile then does not scan any barcodes!!! The app we use on our guns runs fine, the scanning is recognised (it bleeps when it reads the barcode) but nothing gets populated into the field. If I use exactly the same profile file as the one located in autoimport to manually import datawedge profile, everything works just fine. This makes me think there's nothing wrong with profile file itself. But I've no idea what else could be causing this weird behavior. Any ideas?? Device used is Zebra TC20 and TC51, both running Android 8.1
Hi, is there anything to get Custom Attributes working in Filesync Rule (Server File / Folder Name)? Works: %ROOT%\Certificates\ %ROOT%\Certificates\123.cert Doesn't work: %ROOT%\Certificates\%MCCustomData:Store Number%.cert
Hello, Would it be possible to retrieve only .log files of a specific folder ? I tried the following method (*.log) but it's not working. Mobicontrol version : 14.3.3.1111 Enrollment method : AE / DO Thank you. BR, Yoan
I am trying to set up Mandatory Files in SOTI Hub. I am using OneDrive as the repository. I want to make everything that I have on OneDrive mandatory so it will automatically be downloaded on the devices. I have enabled File Fetch, which should do what I am looking for. Under the Files and Folders section, I have added the main folder that everything is in, under the Path section. For type, I have Folder selected. I save it all, then force a check in. On SOTI Hub, under Mandatory Content, I see the folder, but there are no files or folders inside it. When I try to refresh, it says "Mandatory Files Sync Failed. View Event logs for details." When I go to Event logs, it doesn't actually give me any details, so that's useless (see below). Has anyone else run into this issue? Thank you. Ryan
We're uploading log files from an application across multiple devices. When enrolling the devices, we used the serial number to name them. When uploading the file to a shared repository using a file sync rule, I can only get the folders to be named the Device ID (IMEI) Can anyone suggest another option for me to try or is this not possible.
We are exploring a way to gather app data from our devices on a scheduled basis and downloading them somehow from our MobicontrolCloud instance to one of our on prem servers. We can't enroll the server in Mobicontrol to use a file sync rule to download and would rather not explore SFTP unless we have to, do you know if there is a way to send files from a device to an S3 bucket of our choosing?
I am looking for some advice on managing multiple file sync rules. We have a custom application that runs on around 1,500 Zebra MC67 devices. The device has a Settings file and also keeps 9 running log files. Our support team often needs to grab a copy of the Settings file and/or the log files for troubleshooting, etc.... I have created 2 file sync rules so far. One rule grabs the settings.txt file and drops it on a file share, and the other grabs the most recent log file and drops it on a file share in a different directory. Right now I only have the settings.txt file sync rule active, so it's great when a support user needs to grab this for a particular device or group of devices, they can just right-click and choose Sync Files Now and view it from the share. In the spirit of maintaining low data usage on our low Mb data plans, I'd like to be able to run these file sync rules independently of one other. If I enable both of them and someone chose to File Sync, it's always going to grab the log file and the settings file. Is there a way I can selectively manually run one rule or the other? I was thinking/hoping there was a way to call the rule with a script but I haven't been able to find anything. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks
Dear SOTI Community, Is the process describe here it's still available : https://discussions.soti.net/thread/automatically-import-contacts-from-a-vcf-file/ If yes, I would like to get the contact_import.apk that is mentioned. Wher can I get it. If there is another type of process to import contact, I'll be pleased to hear about this as well. Current SOTI version used : 13.4.0.5290 OS : Android 7 Cheers, Victor
After uploading files from a group of devices to server (into %DEVICEID% subfolder), is there a way to download all those files together (instead of one-by-one)?
Is there a way to abort a File Sync Rule in the "Before File Synchronization" script? I have a very large file that must be sent to the device. Once it is processed, I would like to delete it. I would like to down a smaller file that I could check for before the file sync and if the file exists DON'T DOWNLOAD the large file. Thoughts.
Hi, is there a limit on how much (GB) data we can upload to File Manager under File Sync Rule as shown below? Thanks!
