Hi all, We have some Samsung tablets in our environment. But they keep switching WIFI profiles. We have one staging profile using a WPA2 passphrase and a cert based wifi. After switching to the production wifi (cert based) the device keeps switching back now and then. With our Zebra devices we are able to use the MX framework. But there is nothing like that on a Samsung tablet. Does anyone have something to resolve this?
During installation of Mobi Control on samsung devices, I am being asked to approve many permissions. Thought that Mobi Control rules and application install would do this. Permissions it is asking for are: Please give draw over other apps permission Please give write setting permission Please give notification access permission Please give usage stats permission This is ONLY happening on samsung devices, and SOTI is telling me that you have to do this manually for all devices. Painful when you have to do it to 60. Appreciate the help.
Is there any guide how to use the Configuration URI in order to preconfigure apps ? Best regards
Prior to using Mobi Control. We had users clean their droid devices at the end of each day, due to application requirements. Does anyone have a recommendation for a droid cleaning app that does not conflict with applications functionality or not be able to clean due to the lock down under Mobi Control? Currently, trying to use Clean Droid and its causing application conflicts when running under Mobi control. Appreciate the help.
Is there any way to limit the time for Admin Mode usage? I would like to allow users to enter Admin mode only for 1 minute at a time. Best Regards
Hello good day, I have a problem when activating applications that were hidden and use a script that allows to activate but the problem I have is that in some devices of the same model they do not activate and it throws an error in the logs. Manufacturer: samsung Model: SM-A105M The script I send is: writeprivateprofstring BlockedActivityList The error message sent by the device: Error message received from device (Failed to parse XML file(IOException) /test) In some devices of the same model the applications are activated and in other models it does not and sends that error message. Has anyone had the same problem and had a solution? I'll stay tuned to your comments
First post here. Thought to pick your mind on this one. Before upgrading from SOTI MobiControl 14.3 to 15.1 I had profiles assigned with web filters covering the allowed URL's that were assigned to my devices. The profiles are applied to all devices and working fine. I had a couple of "Allow" rule types and one "Block" with the "*" as the URL. This worked perfectly fine. Users could only browse to the Allowed URL's and all other sites were blocked due to the usage of "*" I now tried to make changes to one of the filters and it gives me an error. Doesn't allow me to save it anymore. This forces me to remove the "*" as a Block rule type and this will give access to all sites when users try to browse using e.g. Chrome. I guess this is due to some changes in 15.1 or any versions after 14.3... Any tip on what I can do here is appreciated.
Hello, Device Platform : Android MC version : 14.3.3.1111 Enrollment method : AE DO Is there a way to rename a file before its synchronization and indicate the DeviceID in the file name ? The following setting does not work: For testing purpose I tried with a pre execute script : copy %sdcard%\logs\20200922.log %sdcard%\logs\%DEVICEID%_20200922.logdel %sdcard%\logs\20200922.log This solution works, BUT requires to know the name of the log file to be retrieved. So it's not very feasible... And what if I had to retrieve and rename multiple files ? Do you have any idea / method ? Many thanks for your help. Best regards, Yoan.

Please suggest, how to fix this. ************************************************************************ Exception: Invalid object name 'MobiControlDB_Archive.dbo.MainLog'. ************************************************************************[SqlException: Invalid object name 'MobiControlDB_Archive.dbo.MainLog'.] at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection, Action`1 wrapCloseInAction) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning(TdsParserStateObject stateObj, Boolean callerHasConnectionLock, Boolean asyncClose) Regards, Dheeraj
My team has written an application that requires some initial startup configuration items (API endpoints, store number associated with device, etc.) How can I provide those configuration variables to the app during either installation or by some other means? I was able to create a Custom Attribute via the REST API, but cannot access it on the device via my app. I could make a REST call with the app, but that defeats the purpose, because I still would have to store the REST API endpoint within my code . . . which my security team will not allow. I can access the Custom Attribute via legacy scripting, but I cannot write that value to a file via custom scripting (or at least, I didn't find any way to do that). I can't seem to access a Custom Attribute via javascript scripting. I've tried various methods, but none work. Any advice would be helpful. I'm new to this and just can't seem to figure out how to get the initial configuration data down to the device.
When taking the device out of the box, the device has a wedge app that can able you to test it out. You can also take any app that will accept a scan and it will work. When I install the Mobicontrol agent, it strips away all apps that enable the scan function. Now when i go to a test app to scan something, no laser will show when the side buttons are pressed. Why would the agent strip that function away?
Hi I'm trying to rename some of our devices with the "devrename" command. I would like to rename the devices with a text + a custom property field from LDAP. Unfortunatly I can't get it to work. I've tried with other fields like %ENROLLMENT_USERNAME% and so on and it works fine. But I want a Custom Property field being used instead. The Custom Property field is the "Pager" attribute in AD
