Hi together, how I can upload bigger files to SOTI for deploying? I have a .pkg file with 1.67 GB size. My problem is the upload needs more time then the login timeout. Can someone upload it from the server or change the timeout time? Our server is in the cloud. Thank you in advance and have a nice weekend Janni
Hi, Is there any way in SOTI that would set my own app as the default launcher on Android? Everytime an update on my app is performed, since the old one is deleted before the new one is installed, a prompt to choose the default launcher will pop-up and we would like that our launcher would be always the default launcher, no exeptions.

Hello,I’m trying to remotely wake up Android Tablets. The situation is that I have a number of Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) tablets that are configured with a lockdown for customers to use. We have been getting complaints that staff are getting tired of having to wake the tablets up every morning. The tablets are in enclosures that and they can’t reach the buttons to wake it up. The tablets are on Android 8.1 SOTI we are using is 14.4We have disabled the daze mode and set the screen time out to 5 or 6 hours. Our initial tablets that never turned off had to be replaced due to burn in so leaving them lit up overnight isn’t going to work out that wellI’ve tried sending scripts like unlock and they don’t seem to do anything no error nothing. However, if I send reset /s as a script command it reboots, if I send lock it locks so it is executing some scripts.The tablets being what they are don’t have the double tab to wake option.When I remote to them and used the home button they wake up fine so the connection is fine.Ultimately I was hoping to use the task schedule to send the script but if I can’t get it to work as a one off it seems unlikely it will work with the schedule.Anyone run into something like this or have any suggestions?
Hi, I have trouble upgrading (versions in the subject line) mobicontrol. When I start the setup file, I am only greeted with an empty error box that I can only confirm with ok and the setup is aborted. Because of the error being completly blank, I do not have any clue on what the error might be related to. What I have tried so far (always with the same, non-working result): Executed Setup as .exe Switched system language from German to US English (I thougt, maybe there was no translation for the error) Manually stop all related mobicontrol services, tasks, etc. ... before executing the setup file Rebooted the system The system in question is running Windows 10 with all the latest updates installed. Any help or clue is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Greg Edit: I have not had any problems updating mobicontrol in the past.
Hi, my coworker is working with the api's of MC. He wants to get all user or group entriesout of MC. In the API documentation are 3 entries to get informations about the directory users/groups. /directories/{directoryConnectionName}/entries /directories/connections /directories/entries I guess the third one is necessary to get all users and/or groups from the directory. The problem is that we dont know which values it need. searchString: for example uid? memberOf: ??? We are using OpenLDAP as a directory. I hope i was able to explain our little problem. Hi, we currently want to enroll a Samsung Android 10 device. SOTI V14 Unfortunately it gets stuck during "license activation pending". After that the log says that somehow a permission for mobicontrol was rejected. Unfortunately we didn't reject any permission nor did we not give the permissions it asked for. Any idea what we are doing wrong? I can attach screenshots etc. if necessary. Regards,
Hi, I have a specific Android app which I want to start from the SOTI Lockdown/Kiosk Mode. Unfortunately it doesn't start, even with a script "start androidname" it doesn't start. If you are not within the Lockdown/Kiosk mode it starts without any issue, also with the script. Any idea why this might be the case? This problems happens on Android 9, on Android 5 it is working properly. Thanks,
SOTI Version: Version: 14.4.1.1195 Devices: Zebra TC56J Android 7.1.2 Agent version: 14.1.4.1010 I am trying to find an efficient way to upgrade our Android 7.1 devices to Android 8. Currently, I have a staging OU that downloads the OS update from 7 to 8, with a post copy script that successfully upgrades the device to 8.1 However, this disconnects it from SOTI since the agent is then incompatible. So, I'm trying to do this all through StageNow. According to this: https://supportcommunity.zebra.com/s/article/OS-Update-multiple-packages-using-SOTI-MobiControl-Mxconfig-Script?language=en_US I should be able to. I followed that guide exactly, with the exception of a file sync rule since the device is orphaned after upgrading to 8. Instead, I added in FileMgr configs that copy my Android 8 patch, an Android 8 reset zip, and a UPL file that lists both. The PowerMgr config is set exactly as in my link above. However even though StageNow says it is successful (and the files physically are copied to the device) it never seems to process the patch and reset files. Contents of my UPL file is: package:CFE_ATLAS_02-32-04.00-ON-U01-STD.zippackage:ATLAS_O_FACT_RESET_U08.zip Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, and tips on what I may be doing wrong. Thanks!
Hello, In MobiControl since Version 15.1 I cannot longer add Groups in "Edit Permissions" in Profiles, only adding Users is possible. When try to add a Group, the Dialog Windows gets longer, but the space is empty. In MobiControl until version 15.0.1 it is working. I tried that already in Chrome, Firefox, Private mode, always the same non working in MobiControl 15.1.0 and up to 15.1.2. Martin

Device enroll via android enterprise upgrade os 9 to 10 but after upgrade mobicontrol error "Your device is already configured for Enterprise. Please ok to uninstall this application" and can doing anything I don't know android 10 conflict mobicontrol agent.

hi everybody, I am trying to enroll a Zebra MC33 with Android Nougat 7.1.2 (no GMS) to a SOTI MobiControl console version 15.1.2.1035 (trial version). I tried to use the very same method I executed with MobiControl version 14.2.2 (type the URL on Chromium and download the Zebra agent from the console server), but result is an error. Could you please tell me the correct method I have to use to enroll the device to the console? Is there any available link with instructions to be followed? Thank you very much and best regards
