At the SOTI Stage Programmer App you can set Proxy Settings but no Proxy Bypass settings. Why is this important (if proxy is used) feature missing? There is no Windows or Web Barcode Generator which could create a QR (maybe as PDF or simple bmp)? So we had to write a QR-Code Generator by ourself which does both (Proxy Bypass included, create as bmp). Why SOTI doesn't provide that (maybe include it in Mobicontrol)? The Stage Programmer app is a simple "type-in" Programm too. And (independently which QR-Code i use) when i set proxy seetings (with and without bypass) the wifi-settings can't be set. When i set it manually its working fine. Is there something which we should think about?

Hi there, we are using an Enterprise Profile with Google Managed Account. So far its working well we can add apps to app catalog and they appear in the app catalog on the smartphone. My expectation was that they will be automatically downloaded and installed when i mark them as "Mandatory" but they aren't. Is there a way to do this automatically? We are using Kioskmode too, so they are not able to get to the application catalog without an administrator.
We just moved our SOTI Mobicontrol 13.4 from a 2008 server to a 2016 server. We are using Mobicontrol to lockdown Honeywell CN51 handhelds running Windows CE. On the devices I am able to change servers. Menu>Configuration>Server>Add I was able to add the new server and then delete the old server and upgrade the agents. I encounter a problem when I have device that comes back from repair and the OS has been wiped. On the old server I could enter the URL https://soti2008/MC/files/Agents/45 to get the device agent. When I enter the URL to get the device from the new server https://soti2016/MC/files/Agents/45 and install the agent it still points to the old server. My question is on the new server how do I find the device agent and edit it so I can automatically point he devices to new server?
Hi. I have a trouble with using remote control on my device. It seems that is fully suported by device but, when I'm trying to connect, it doesn't work. I've tried using html version and with plugin. Both of them just disconnect from device. trying to remote control (lagecy) a Samsung Galaxy tab, however i am unable to see the screen it only shows as a black screen. I have to ask user to unlock screen for me This is inconvenience for IT admin when having remoteCould you please help me
I have an Android 9 barcode scanner that I am using with MobiControl. Downloaded the generic Android MobiControl client from Google Play Store. Created an Enrollment ID for Android Plus device and added it to my company's profile. I can see the scanner in View Devices, can monitor battery and storage levels, and send messages to device but not much else. Additionally, on the device itself it periodically gives "Can't add work profile" error with a pending action. I created Android Plus Work Profiles following the guides but cannot get them to sync to my actual device. Searching the error message didn't return a whole lot. Is there a trick to deploying work profiles to generic devices?
Hello Guys, so under enrollment rules and device agent manager you can download mcsetup.ini, my question now is how exactly do use it? Because all provision methods dont use the file, right? Self extracting executable has already all enrollment informations needed, same as desktop based enrollment and device agent url adress. What am i missing? For my usecase it would be nice to have only one Agent File and Multiple setup ini´s.
Our MC is release 14.4. We manage around 3000 devices on 40 different kind of field services. The devices have different lockdown and access according to field services being assigned. It is common a device been transferred to different departments, so they must receive new assignemnets. It is also common the end user to forget to request to transfer the device in MobiControl, keeping the former assignments. When we were running MC 13, in order to avoid devices misplacements, in our lockdown template we have displayed the device path, by including a a reference to an external html file. This external html file have been transferred by a filesync rule. Such solution were consuming network band, so we have deactivated it. Is it available on MC release 14.4 any macro or environment variable that we may include on html lockdowntemplate to show which path the device is located, or maybe a custom attribute that may shows its content on lockdown ? Something similar to %IMEI%
Hey, out of nowhere i am no longer able to create new add-device-rules. I get always the following error notification The deployment server failed to reach the enrollment service. Please check your network connections and settings. I made no changes in my network. I am still able to add devices with a existing rule. I checked the services inthe admin tool. All services are runnning without any warnings/errors. I restartet all services and the host. I used telnet to check the availability of the enrollment service and it works. I am using MC v15.0.2.1049 UPDATE:Now i get the following message in the admin tool too: It makes no sense for me. I clicked several times on "Apply" but it is not abletto publish the certificates. As i said before. My network is working fine and i made no changes.
Hi! We have started seeing a weird behavior on some of our XCover 4s devices. When we do a restartagent or for example an upgrade of the agent when the screen is locked, the agent is stuck on splash screen and won't start until we unlock the screen. Have anyone else seen this problem? I have tried to disable Doze Mode, upgrade to the latest agent. eg. Android+ devices (DA)
Hello all, I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to have soti send an alert when a specific amount of devices are seen going offline? Or maybe something that would give me a similar scope of devices going offline. Reason being, a few weeks ago we had an issue where our cellular network went down but didn't have anyone report it until the dead of night during a night shift. So, just looking for ways to be proactive for the future. Thanks in advance for any tips!
Hi, Everytime I try to move a device between folders I receive an internal server error message. I'm also unable to enrol new devices, they show 'enrolled' but the agent is disconnected. We've recently upgraded our licence to allow more devices, does this take time to become live? This is quite urgent as we need to build 400 devices by Wednesday! Thanks, Adam
Hi All, We have a subset of older devices that still have what we used (SOTI Pocket Controller) for remote control on our Windows Mobile devices back in the day before we started with Mobi. Now, I am trying to uninstall that application from a decent bit of devices. I've been testing a basic uninstall script but the application pops up on the device with a prompt to delete settings from the device and has yes/no answer boxes. These devices are in heavy duty vehicles, so we would like to prevent that pop-up if at all possible. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to do a silent uninstall on WM for this application? I've just tried the basic uninstall script below so far: uninstall "SOTI Pocket Controller Enterprise" Thanks in advance.
We have our Samsung tablets set with a bookmark to a GISCloud.com map (https://continental-landscapes.giscloud.com/map/1192857/whg-2019). In SOTI Surf we are having issues where one of the map layers (the base map layer with the streets/streetnames on it) is not displaying when viewed in SOTI Surf, but is displaying fine if viewed in Chrome. I can't think why WebView wouldn't like it.
