    Advice for managing multiple file sync rules (Windows Mobile - Zebra MC67)

    I am looking for some advice on managing multiple file sync rules.  We have a custom application that runs on around 1,500 Zebra MC67 devices.  The device has a Settings file and also keeps 9 running log files.  Our support team often needs to grab a copy of the Settings file and/or the log files for troubleshooting, etc.... I have created 2 file sync rules so far.  One rule grabs the settings.txt file and drops it on a file share, and the other grabs the most recent log file and drops it on a file share in a different directory.  Right now I only have the settings.txt file sync rule active, so it's great when a support user needs to grab this for a particular device or group of devices, they can just right-click and choose Sync Files Now and view it from the share.  In the spirit of maintaining low data usage on our low Mb data plans, I'd like to be able to run these file sync rules independently of one other.  If I enable both of them and someone chose to File Sync, it's always going to grab the log file and the settings file. Is there a way I can selectively manually run one rule or the other?  I was thinking/hoping there was a way to call the rule with a script but I haven't been able to find anything.  Any ideas are appreciated.     device is connected to SOTI but will not let me remote control.

    i have a samsung tab A device that will not let me remote control, but the device shows the blue screen indicating that it is connected to SOTI MobiControl. we have about 200 devices with the same exact configuration as this device. yet only this device has the remote control options grayed out. has anyone ever ran into this issue? MobiControl version 13.4.0.5074

    Device initiated device removal Solved Locked

    In our envoriment broken devices get replaced with other ones using the same devicename in soti. When a broken device gets repaired it gets reinstalled , the agent and all most of the software are beeing removed and it gets reinstalled to be used elsewhere possibly with different config. Due to the fact that the device is still in soti it sometimes gets wrong packages etc, the personell that takes in the broken devices dont have access to the soti console so they often dont get deleted correctly. This would be solved if we could initiate a delete from the device itself right before we uninstall the agent for example. So,Is it possible to delete a device from soti using a commandline or script initiated from the device itself? This question is for win ce and windows desktop clients.

    Zebra - OS Update - Large File Deployment - Low Bandwidth Locations

    Hey folks, looking for insights on deploying large OS update files (+1GB) for Zebra (7.x to 8.x) to locations with low bandwidth (DSL/T1) connections.  We have a fleet of TC75x devices that are presently running Nougat and we need to update to Oreo soon.  No local machine resources for Stage Now. We've considered SD, USB on site, but would prefer not to go this route. Looking for a low/zero touch solution. We're working with Zebra to engineer an alternate solution, but thought I'd check to see if anyone has already dealt with this scenario.  @Matt Dermody - thoughts?

    Time spend on specific app

    Can we know how much time spend on app that installed at our device? (android) My client want to calculate his employee performance using the time spend on the working app.. i think we should use SOTI insight.. but since it hast release yet, can we use Mobi Control for now?

    How to block the guest account?

    Is there any way to block / disable access to the guest account that is located in the notification menu ?.     Soti Assist authorization failed

    Hi, When I trying to load SOTI ASSIST web console after an install, I will encounter an "Authorization failed. Please contact your administrator." Any idea how can I resolve this? Also the soti assist page forward me to here: https://FQDNservername/mobicontrol/oauth/error/InternalServerError and no error log in SOTI Assist Administration Utility. And also I check the MobiControl Rest API URL in this file <SA Install folder>/Server/Config/RestAPI.config and all is correct. By the way, SOTI mobicontrol runs normally without errors.     Android+ Application Catalog mandatory apps not installing

    Hi,  I have an application Catalog setup to install Amazon Relay only.  It's set as a mandatory application but it's not installing.  I can see the application is available for me to download when I break out of the kiosk.  Is there a way of automating the download of this application?  We don't want our customers to have to break out of the Kisok to download applications Thanks  Josh.

    Report on Virtual Device Group not showing any result whatsoever Solved

    Hi Guys, can anyone test this in their environment, as titel states? On 14.2.2 Device Reports only work on Non-Virtual Groups, and in the patch notes for other releases i did not found a bug fix. Thanks in advance.

    Install Certificate Issue

    Hi, I am working on creating a profile to push Wi-Fi including a Certificate to Android 8.1. the profile that i have created is as below and here is the TLS Settings The profile is not being pushed to the device!!! Maybe i miss-configured something.Note that we could manually configure the  Wi-Fi and the Wi-Fi certificate on the device, which means the Wi-Fi and Cert are good to go.  The device logger is showing "Device configuration pending ([Certificates] Configuration doesn't apply because 'Authentication' is not configured)" "Device configuration pending ([WIFI] A required client certificate is not installed on device)" I need some help, where to look at

    What global permissions are required for profiles PUT request?

    I am trying to use the SOTI API to update packages in profiles and assign them to devices. Using PUT  /profiles/{referenceId}/packages and PUT  /profiles/{referenceId}/assignment our user has the "View profiles" and "Manage profiles" permission as well as "View and deploy packages" and "Manage packages" but we get response using Powershell System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed.

    Is there a way to limit access without using a kiosk?

    Android Agent (Samsung ELM) version not listed in release notes

    We have been having issues with our Samsung tablets running Oreo 8.1, Mobicontrol Cloud v14.3.2.1171. We recently injected the ELM agent version 13.7.3.1045 and most of our devices are using this and today I see that there is a newer version available, 13.7.5.1013, but I can see neither agent listed in the Release Notes located at https://docs.soti.net/soti-mobicontrol/android-agent/release-notes/v137/android-oem-agent-maintenance-releases/ I would like to see what is fixed in these versions to know if we should upgrade but right now I can't tell. In general we are struggling to find any patterns or trends regarding the following issues and hope that a newer agent might provide some relief: Boot loop: the device at the lockscreen will accept the password but will return right back to the password prompt without indicating an incorrect password, Only way forward is soft reset from Mobicontrol console or hard reset on the device (long hold on power button)   Collected Data: sometimes stops collecting, will resume after a restart   Odin Mode (or Download Mode): numerous reports of devices going into Odin Mode, which is typically done by holding Power, Vol Up and Vol Down simultaneously. Too many users reporting for this to be user error only. We never had the problem until after upgrading Mobicontrol from 13.3 andgoing with the 13.5.x version of the agent.   Devices not checking in: Some devices will go offline from Mobicontrol even though they are connecting to the network via WiFi or 4G (they can browse the web, sync data with our survey app, etc, just won't connect to Mobicontrol). Resolved with restart. Thought this might be related to Doze, sent "no doze" script to all devices and agent sleep issue shows fixed in MCMR-16238   False Low RAM Alerts: We have an alert set up to warn us when available memory drops below 768 MB, we get multiple alerts daily on multiple devices that this threshold is exceeded but whenever we investigate we have yet to find a single device actually running that low on RAM, even if we remote tot he tablet within a minute of the alert having been received. None of these is absolutely related to the agent but I can't rule it out either, would really like more comprehensive notes for each release Thanks, Matt
