Hi, We are evaluating Soti Surf 14.3 for future deployment (14.2 used right now), mainly because 14.2 is not working after upgrade to oreo on a Zebra TC56 device, removing itself from the device. We use the devices on a closed network, to access local resources. I was surprised to see the firewall blocking page saying I'm trying to access www.soti.net which is blocked. The kiosk uses the surf://local_ip notation, and I just fail to understand what Soti would do something like that Any way to get an updated version that is not trying to silently connect outside the network and block the functionality of the devices ? Thank you
So this is my first time enroll MacOS to Mobicontrol, and in MacOS, user can actually see the profile that Mobi Control provide.. later i found out that user can just delete the Profile and all the configuration will just gone.. i tried custom profile to protect the profile with a password, but the custom profile haven't work yet.. anybody facing this same issue or maybe can solve this issue? thanks!
Is there any timeline on migration for devices in the field with device admin agent that can be switched to device owner using SOTI? I have lots of devices in the field with older operating systems which need updating which will require device owner agents.
I have created a mobile profile on android for work. We used the tool and ran the command MCAdmin.exe APIClientAdd -n:[ANY_NAME_YOU_WANT] we are using the SOTI admin account with these ClientId and ClientSecret Using the Swagger page we are still unable to query the API, we are getting a 401 unauthorised We attempted to use the powershell script in: https://discussions.soti.net/thread/api-call-via-power-shell-to-send-script/ and that returns us a code 400 Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Hi, is there any way to change the user mode when I am in Mobicontrol App (Deviceconfiguration) or to switch into the lockscreen via remote? Device: Zebra TC51 Android+ (Android 7.1.1) We have sometimes the problem that the device starts up and doesn't switch into Lockscreen but changes the user mode to "User". So i didn't found a way to get to the lockscreen. The device is visible in Mobicontrol and can be remote controlled. The only solution for now is to factory reset the device and stage it again but this takes relative long time and i am looking for a smarter solution if possible.
Hi, We have a customer that is using 200 Zebra TC56 devices but the memory on the devices is slowly filling up. I've had one of the devices sent back to me that is showing 7.69GB of 8.72GB is being used but when I look through the file manager I can only find a little over 5GB of files. Is there a report or another method that I can use to see where memory is being used and how much? Which folders/files and how much space is being used. Appreciate any help/advise you can offer!
Hello, is it possible to get the devicename (in the "new device rule") automatically filled with the command "getprop net.hostname". I read in the Manual MobiControl Help "Enter the combination of text and macros you want " :) best regards Marco
A couple of issues related to Manage Google Play. We use TC70x running mainly Android Oreo in Lockdown Mode.Android Enterprise Work Managed Devices. Android Enterprise Bindings is set and Managed Google Play Applications installs with the latest version during enrollment.Agent version: 13.7.6.1004Mobicontrol: 14.3.1.1189 1) Profile for Managed Google Play settings is set as Application Updates: Always UpdateHowever, even with the profile installed on the device, app updates are just listed in the MobiControl app Application Catalog as a mandatory app with an available update. I can't find any entries in the device log that the update have tried to install.2) Profile for Managed Google Play settings (used for above) error during enrollment.- Because all of its payloads cannot be installed.- Device configured failed (Android Enterprise Google Play Policy). Configuration failed to apply.This profile seems to fail during enrollment most of the time and will not be successful until manually forcing package reinstallation (which is successful once enrollment has completed).
Hi, A customer asked me whether there are ways to achieve the followings for AEDO device (Android 8.1.0) with MC v14; . Set same effect as Settings>Display>Advanced>Display size>Small via script or other methods. . Set same effect as Settings>Security&Location>Screen lock>None via script or other methods. . Set same effect as Setting>Apps¬ifications>MobiControl>Display over other apps>Allowed via script or other methods. . MobiControl 14.1.2 It seems like custom data has quit updating on my instance. Old values that I have removed are still showing in the console and new values are not updating? Anyone have any ideas? I am trying to get some time with my SOTI SE to discuss. Thanks,
Hello, we want to install netmotion with device administrator privileges, after the devices are connected to SOTI. But SOTI prevents the app from being used as device administrator. We can't install the app before they are connected to SOTI, (with Zebra StageNow) because then we get a work profile, bur we need a work managed device. Is it possible to install netmotion (used as device administrator) via SOTI with a work managed device? Thanks and best regards Daniel
Dears There are many Samsung inbuilt application are there which are comunicating to public ips . Is there any way to block it or stop this comunication. I have try to block it from aplication run cantrol . But it is not working. We are using soti 13.4, android plus enrollment

Hi, I have a number of TC75 and want to know if SOTI can get the "Battery Usage Number" from the Battery Manager app. Be handy info to see at a glance in the mobicontrol portal. for instance, a device that has been sent to me, has a battery usage number of 170, and a threshold of 400, which shows a battery wear level of nearly 50%. If I could see that X amount of devices battery is close to the wear threshold, I can pre-empt this and get some replacements in stock. Also, get ready for users saying battery life etc. is poor.
