Hello! Do you know if there is a command for Windows Mobile 6.5 similar a “set /p” in Windows? I’m trying to create a script in which asks about something and the user could input the information manually. Any idea? Thanks.
Hi, We've recently updated our Mobicontrol Deployment Server from version 12.4 to 14.2. Ever since the upgrade we run into issues where revoking or assigning a profile to our devices is stuck on "pending removal/installation". The only way to get our devices to install the profile is by restarting the Deployment Service through the MobinControl Administration Utility. This happens almost daily. We've even had to do it twice in one day on some occasions. Has anyone else had this experience? Our devices are Symbol TC70 scanners running Android (versions vary from 4.4.2 to 6.0.1, this makes no difference).
I have enrolled an Zebra MC33 Oreo (with latest Lifeguard Update) device with Android Enterprise Device Owner. The Hawkeye Plugin available from Soti Webpage was installed via MobiControl and shows up as "installed". The problem is that there is only "remote view" available, remote control does not work. Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be? MC-Version: 14.3.0.3144 Agent-Version: 13.6.0.1662
Hi, I would like to have a custom data collection with the connection type of a device. Currently this is not possible when choosing the custom data options (MC v13.4) Is there any way to get this custom data, i.e. with the help of an INI file? Thanks for help.
I see that "Is Charging" is now a device property available in the profile Filter Criteria tab. Not sure how useful that is on the filter tab vs the options tab. I verified that a profile set to apply when "Is Charging" = TRUE comes back off when not charging. Does anyone have a use case where that property would be useful to them as a filter criterion? Hopefully, that condition will make its way over to the assignment options tab shortly...
When I set up a data usage monitor under Rules > Telecom Expense Management, the newer Samsung devices require an elevated permission for the device agent to monitor data usage. This is under device settings which are not accessible as all the devices are heavily locked down, single-use devices. Is there a way to enable the permission en masse through Mobicontrol?
Hello, I'm testing screen sharing on iOS, when I started the recording, mobicontrol app say: "Connection to MobiControl cannot be established. Please enroll the MobiControl agent before starting the screen recording session". Thank you, Filippo
Hi, is it possible to prevent using 'Downloadable Plugin (legacy)' for Remote Control via a server side setting ? (and enforce using the Web-based version?)
Hey there, is it possible to send an intent to Zebra Android devices to activate he following options? It seems to be impossible to do this via "Stage Now". I could only find activate "Developer Options" Thanks for your help. Greetings from Germany
I defined 2 custom attributes for my devices, one of which being "Department" = the department that owns the device. This attribute is properly shown in the dashboard grid, but a 'chart' does not seem to take the name into account... everything is being reported as 'Unknown'? Using SOTI MobiControl 14.2.1.4394 (on premise)
Hello,we have setup SOTI MobiControl (14.2) on-premise, for internal (LAN) use only. When accessing the webconsole, we got a 'https unsafe' indication in the browser, indicating the website could not be trusted due to its certificates. With some help of SOTI support, we were able to import/install our own generated certificate in the MC Admin utility, and this issue is now gone. However, we still get a similar notification on the mobile devices in the device agent. Our devices are enrolled as 'work managed device' into SOTI MobiControl, using the afw#mobicontrol 'google account'.The notification appears when performing the enrollment, immediately after entering the enrollment URL in the MC app.How can we get rid of this?br, Steven
Installed v14.3.0 and enrolled my Android Enterprise device. Device is connected but not visible in the console at all. I checked there are no search filter’s set. Funny side is that I can see the device in profile assignment and even license dialog is showing a license is consumed. Any ideas?
Hello, We are displaying the %DEVICENAME% variable in our HTML device lockdown. This part is working fine, but the issue we are running into is that once the device is added to MobiControl, we rename them to match a naming convention that the Device Add Rule cannot replicate (combination of model # and substring of serial #/IMEI#). When we rename the device the name on the lockdown screen does not update until we either make a change to the profile and re-assign it or move the device between groups that cause the profile to be re-applied. How do we automatically force the lockdown screen to refresh this variable, while it is connected, without having to move it between groups or profiles? MC: 14.1 Agent: Android + 13.5 Zebra TC56 Android 7.1.2 LG 12 Thanks, Patrick
In SOTI MobiControl, it's possible to configure "Prevent unenrollment from Device Agent" for a device group. However, this does not seem to work, as I can still select 'unenroll' in the device agent? In MobiControl - Package Studio, one has the option to activate 'Prompt for Installation'. However, this does not seem to work? The package gets installed without notification/question to the end user Environment = SOTI 14.2.1.4394 Panasonic FZ-N1 enrolled with Android Enterprise SOTI MobiControl Agent (13.6.0.1567), in Work Managed Device mode
