Hi, I've come across an issue using SOTI surf which I suspect may more likely be an issue on the wb application were using but wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts. We have a web app provided by a 3rd party whereby employees can download files (rota's in this case) that should download in .PDF format. Having tested on Chrome and other browsers it works correctly and downloads as a PDF. However in SOTI surf it appears to download as a .aspx file and subsequently cannot be opened. I've tested with the latest version of SOTI surf and the issue is still the same. I'm guessing its the way the site itself is dealing with SOTI surf as a opposed to anything that can be changed on the way SOTI works? Were using Samsung Galaxy X cover 4 devices on Android 7.0 Welcome any thoughts?
Since last week Android BYOD user report, that access to internal websites is not possible anymore. User see on screen a ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED error. iOS users do not report such an issue. Using SOTI Surf 14.1.0.58 from PlayStore and SOTI Server version 13.4.0.4449 Does anyone have the same problem?
We're testing SOTI Surf in combination with SOTI lockdown (kiosk/single app) on a device running Android 4.4.4 (soon on Android 7). Only one URL is white-listed and set as home page. The website is opened, but then SOTI Surf prompts a security warning: There’s a problem with this website’s security certificate. Proceed anyway? After pressing 'OK', the webpage is shown. SOTI Surf is configured, but I'm unable to locate the security settings which could disable this message. Under SOTI Surf Privacy Settings I was unable to find a suitable option.
Hi, Is it possible to change any settings of the default "browser", if you just enter an URL as http:// (No browser:// or chrome://, ..) as a menu item for the Android lockdown? I'd like to disable the ability to safe form data. With Android Studio I would use something like webSettings.setSaveFormData(false); We use Zebra TC51 with Android 7.1.2Thanks in advanced.
Hi,Anyone here experienced implementing ERG for SOTI Surf? I already installed SOTI SurfERG-app, I already configured it to my Mobicontrol Server. When I open SOTI Surf from device, it communicates with ERG server via the specific port I specify, I verified it using wireshark packet tracer. But whenever I access websites or IPs from browser, it doesnt pass its traffic to ERG Server, device communicates directly without ERG in between. If I'm not mistaken, purpose of ERG for SOTI Surf is to relay all HTTP/HTTPS traffic from device to target destination and redirect it back. Thanks
Hi;My Zebra TC75 device "Agent Status" still waiting "Connected, waiting for server response" and the device seems to be Offline on the console.Other Samsung Android devices "Agent Status" section just writes "connected" (green color) and devices online. I tried to wipe the device. I re-enrolled the device but the result did not change. Have you encountered a similar problem before?
Hi I have a problem with deploying an antivirus profile to android plus devices (Android 4.4.3 and Android 7.1.2). I can deploy the antivirus profile over our staging wlan, but i doesnt work over our production wlan. All the other profiles works on both wlans. Has someone an idea why antivirus is not working on our production wlan? Logs: Profile "AntiVirus" version 1 failed to install, because all of its payloads cannot be installed. Thank you Markus
HI, We run SOTI MoniControl version 13.4.0. One of the devices we manage is the Zebra TC55 running android 4.4.3. We tried to upgrade the SOTI agent on the device because it is needed for some functionalities. The issue here is, after we send the upgrade command the device went offline in SOTI and never came back. We checked with its owner but the device is rebooted and online for sure, but we are no longer able to manage it. How can we make sure the device comes back online in SOTI?
Hi, In a use case we have a catalog rule for Android Enterprise with some 10 apps as mandatory. When the rule is applied, some apps get installed but some don't. So user has to exit kiosk mode and install them manually. This obviously is not good. How could we force those apps to install ? With profiles, we can force profile reinstallation, but with catalog rules? Thank you. Mobicontrol version: 14.1.5.1284 Devices: Moto G5S Android 7.1.1
Do I have to uninstall my existing Android App, everything I want to deploy a package with an updated APK in MobiControl? Here's my workflow: 1. Factory Reset Nokia 8 Android 8.0.1 phone and set up with Android for Work (afw#mobicontrol) and enroll in MobiControl. 2. Build my Android APK, create a Package, and assign Package to Phone 3. Confirm app is up and running 4. Make a change to my Android APK, create new Package 5. Remove old package from Profile and add new Package 6. Save and Assign to phone 7. Install fails with File IO Error Current workaround: 1. Remove old app on phone by looking at Applications in MobiControl, finding the app and clicking remove 2. Redeploy new Package. The problem is that by uninstalling the existing app I am loosing a database that I need to maintain and this is alsoa long and painful process for 60+ phones. Am I missing something here? Thanks, Ciaran
Hi all We have a selection of iPad Pro's at the moment, that have been added to our DEP server and synchronized across as required... Our rule has been applied and all looks ok in terms of the configuration. However when they connect to WIFI, and then proceed to the remote management screen - it shows that our company will configure the device, takes a minute connecting and eventually just times out. It cannot download the configuration and hence goes no further. These are WIFI only so I cannot rule out other connections - but I have tried our own WIFI network, external networks and hotspots using 4G sim cards... and we either get just 'cancelled' or 'timed out' Can anyone confirm a few things for me please? Do the iPads have to be on our own network in order to remotely configure when first loading up the devices? These are brand new out of the box. Where could I check to see if they are hitting the server at all, what logs are best to check? Any help appreciated - we are quite new to the apple devices in Soti. Many thanks Leigh

Hi,Is it possible to setup MCserver and ERG on same host?
Is there a way to get http traffic on the Management server to redirect to https?
Hi,I am comparing containerization between Android and iOS. They are seems to be different on how it works. Can somebody tell me how does iOS works in BYOD? How does it sandbox applications? Test scenarios for BYOD features:1. Android *Disable Screenshot - only applies when Work-Profile apps are running foreground. *Disable copy/paste - restrict user from copy/paste text or files from Work-Profile to Personal-Profile or vice versa. *Download attachments files from Work-Profile apps - apps are stored only on Work-Profiled File Manager. 2. iOS *Disable Screenshot - applies on both Personal and Work Profile. I think this should not be implemented on BYOD. *Disable Managed to Unmanaged Data Sharing - I copied text from Managed Chrome-app and successfully pasted it to Unmanaged Notes-app. *Disable Safari - it applies on personal-profile Safari browserConclusion:iOS doesnt have sandbox feature the way android has. It does not separate work files/apps between personal-profile and work-profile. Enrolling unsupervised ios device into Mobicontrol only gains you to have limited control on the device but not necessarily mean deploying a work-profile. I'm open for corrections. Comments are much appreciated!
