Device log error when using mxconfig

I'm using a Zebra TC75x device. I created an mxconfig file using the Stage Now app (sets the screen timeout setting) and exported the xml file for MDM. I took the xml file and created a package with MCStudio. The file is placed in /sdcard/Download/ and the package has a post-install script that runs the command "mxconfig /sdcard/Download/<filename>.xml. I put the package in a profile and assigned the profile to the device. After doing so, I check the logs for the device and see that the package and profile both log as installed. However, I also see an error log that says "Custom log (Mxconfig -/storage/emulated/0/\Download\<filename>.xml was not found.)". Now, the settings that were part of the xml file were applied successfully (screen timeout and lock screen). So my question is why does it show the error log even though the settings were applied successfully?

    Citrix Receiver and SOTI

Dear Team, Need your help to setup Citrix Receiver with Web Interface / Storefront link so users don't have to enter that manually. Let me explain in detail. Citrix Receiver ver 3.13 is installed on Samsung device. Normally when user opens Receiver, it prompts to add account which is https://** link to Web interface or Storefront link. There is easy way to configure Receiver is to send a configuration file (filename.cr) to user device which has all Storefront link details. This config file is with extension .CR User needs to click on this .cr file which opens up Receiver automatically and reads all the information. No other manual intervention. We would like to achieve this without user intervention on SOTI lockdown Samsung device. I can send the .CR file to %SDCard% root but not getting any option where it fires up receiver with this .cr file.  Is there any script I can run to link this .cr file with receiver? so when user open receiver this file opens and receiver reads the info? I don't see the Receiver installation folder on device to keep this .cr file and try if this works. can we try any send intent command to open this .cr file which automatically opens receiver? I renamed the file with .xml also but no luck. Thanks in advance.

Multiple servers but only one will allow new enrollments and agent upgrades Solved

Here is the scenario. We have three servers (Server1, Server2, and Server3) Server1 has the management console on it and the other servers all tie into the database and are running the deployment server. The agents are set to allow connections to all three servers by both name and IP address (which I need to fix.) The issue we are having is if a device connects to server1 we can deploy agents, update agents, or push and update software. However if the devices connect to server2 or server3 they will not update correctly. We are also setting up a barcode to configure the new android devices and if the unit connects to server1 everything works, if it connects to the other two servers then the deployment doesn't happen.  Concurrent to this on server2 and server3 we are getting errors from the caching service engine that it will "attempt to reover caching service." Files are not replicating between the three servers for the deployment packages but the content library appears to be replicating.  On server1 the server event log is growing exponentially with an error about the SSL certificate. "3;210256768;4/2/2018 6:57:24 AM;2;161;2;Remote certificate not provided;2;100010435;;;;;2;;" is the message we are getting.  We can remote control devices connected to servers 2&3 but not push applications to them.

    Android Application configuration schema

Hi, I am looking for documentation on using the application configuration schema to configure applications on android.  As I understand it, this can be used to query the available configuration settings on a given application in the play store. It can then be used to push those settings along with an apk install. Is there documentation available regarding the requirements to make this happen and walk me through an example of this?  Thanks, Shawn

    Soti Surf Refresh

We have about 200 Acer Tablets (Android) being used as time clocks throughout our organization.  The time clock company may have to make changes on the server from time to time and it requires the browser to be refreshed.  We have Soti Surf locked down so the user basically can't do anything.   Using 14.1 version of Soti. The clocks are basically useless until the website is refreshed so they've been instructed to reboot the clock manually.  This is difficult because of the height and the type of mount we are using.  I can send a soft reset to these but I believe I need to wait until the clock goes active.  If this is true, it makes it difficult to send multiple clocks the same command.  Does anyone have any recommendation on how I can go about doing this?   I contacted Soti and they instructed me to try sending a script with the kill_application command and the device doesn't support this command.  Ideally - I'd like to have them walk up to the unit, if it presents them with an error, they can refresh and not have to call anyone.  If this can't be done, what's the next easiest method to address 200 or so tablets next time we have an issue (hasn't happened in 2 months but twice today) Thank you in advance.

    Android + Device Scripts?

Any doing anything with device side scripts?  It appears you can't set any variables.  Attempting it returns "Script command is not supported by device (set)".  Given that, you have almost 0 ability to use "if".  No conditionals make the script utility almost worthless.  Anyone using it conditionally?

Changing Custom attributes in a script Solved

I've declared a custom attribute for a device and set its value to zero I would like to change its value into 1 in the before/after script of a filesync rule. If possible, what is the right syntax for that ? Reason is, when you do a filesync on a group of devices, it seems that you are not aware that nothing has been done on those which are not connected.

    Feature Control layering?

MobiControl Server v14.1 It appears Feature Control works exactly the opposite of how I would like with regards to layering.  I would like to disable/deny most all features in a default profile at the top level and then selectively allow certain features at lower group levels with a different profile.  Unfortunately, if you disable a feature at a higher level there is no way to enable it at a lower one.  This makes managing feature control horribly cumbersome.  Ex, I have to leave "Disable Camera" unchecked at the top level and then check it in every other profile group except the one group that can use the camera.  What would be better (for me) is to have the options be "ENABLE X" rather than "DISABLE X".  That way, I only have to create different Feature Control settings in lower groups that need a certain feature enabled. Is this an issue for anyone else?  Am I missing something easier?  How is everyone else managing features from a "Deny first, allow later" standpoint? Thanks
