Hi @All, when you enable the following option on a tc8300 (Zebra) on Version Mobicontrol 14.43 and Agent 14.0.0.1579 with newest RC-Plugin. The remotecontrol screen gets blacked out. I dont know if thats android related or how the pluging from zebra exactly works, but when disabled the screen isnt blacked out anymore. Just to inform you since there were other Posts where this was occuring. Have a nice day. John
Hello, I'm trying to figure out why I keep losing the ability to Remote Control devices randomly. This randomly will happen to my devices and the only way to fix it is restarting the agent. Any ideas? Thanks, John
Hi Guys, I encountered a problem with the Legacy Remote Control.It's just one user who has this problem and the Web-based Remote Control is working fine for him.If he used the Legacy mode, it takes 2-3 minutes, then the Legacy Remote Control is opening, but shows no data or device. After some time, it closed automatically. In the log of the deployment server there is a message. Error message is: "Remote Control token has expired for device" and "Comm.Client.9: System.UnauthorizedAccessException was captured when processing message: StartRemoteControlMsg:{}" and "Comm.Client.9: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Invalid RC token.". We already uninstalled and installed the plugin again but doesn't work ether. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
Hello, I have a Google Pixel 3a XL device (Android Version: 9) and I'm wanting to enable the remote control option instead of the remote view option. How do I go about doing this? The device is a Work Managed Device. Thanks, John Phillips
Hello, with TC77 and SOTI 14.3 we have a Problem with Remote Control. In the Group permission is "Control Without Notification" activated but the User get an Notification. Where can we configure the Remote Control Notification Settings? Thanks! Marco
i have a samsung tab A device that will not let me remote control, but the device shows the blue screen indicating that it is connected to SOTI MobiControl. we have about 200 devices with the same exact configuration as this device. yet only this device has the remote control options grayed out. has anyone ever ran into this issue? Evaluating Honeywell Android VM1A. This is my first android device that I have tried to add to our mobicontrol server. I can get the agent installed and get remote view only to the terminal. Through all my efforts I have been unable to get full remote control to the device like I have with all my windows CE and windows mobile devices. Have opened previous ticket with Soti but have been unable to get this resolved. Running Soti MobiControl version 13.4.0.5121. Agent on the Honeywell VM1A is below Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Hello everybody, I'm encountering a problem with the remote control functionality on Zebra TC57 and Zebra TC77 devices. On our end, the remote control (both via HTML5 and the legacy downloadable plugin) shows a black screen inside the device skin. Yet if we click somewhere in that black screen, the remote control does actually work and we're able to control the device. Its screen just will not show. So if we haven't got the device itself nearby, we can't see what we're doing. Here's what we're using: MobiControl version: 14.3.1.1189 (cloud-based)Zebra TC57 and Zebra TC77Android 8.1.0, OEM version 01-13-20.00-OG-U12-STDAgent version: 13.7.0.1031 (GoogleMobiControl1370_1031.apk, DO mode)Remote control version 1.15.3.109 ("MDMPlugin_Notification" v1.0 from Zebra_Hawkeye_RC_AE_1.6.0.102.pcg) Any ideas? This has been an ongoing frustration since the Version 11 days (we're on 14.2 now), it doesn't matter which computer I use no matter how many times I download and install the legacy remote and restart my browser I get prompted again the next time to do the same. My IT department fixed it on my work laptop and I had it working on my home machines but maybe a Windows or Chrome update borked something because I can't make it work. I need the legacy control because I need the Application Manager capability which the HTML5 version lacks. What can I do to fix this? Thank you, Matt (if it matters we are in the Mobicontrol cloud)
I am unable to get the Legacy plug In to work so I was instructed to install MOBIAssist. With the legacy plugin for Remote Control I was able to drag and drop files to and from the terminal. Using the file explorer tool. With MOBIAssist if I select file I am able to download files from the device by clicking on them, however it doesnt appear as ift here is a way to Upload files. Please advice as to what I am missing.
I have just upgraded to MobiControl 14.3 in our Dev environment and I have question about the prompt that appears when using the Remote Control functionality. Currently our 13.4 users use a combination of the Remote Control and Remote Control (HTML5) for users who do not wish to download the browser plugin. In the 14.3 world, we are referring to the downloadable plugin as a legacy app and if the web-based option is used, SOTI Assist needs to be installed as a prerequisite. Questions: 1) Can someone from SOTI confirm if the downloadable plugin is going to be phased out? If so, any ETA on when this will happen? 2) For web-based access, is there any option to continue using this without the SOTI Assist installation? 3) For web-based access, what does this mean for existing/future device skins?
Hello all, we work with soti server on version : 13.3.0.3454 Our mobile is zebra tc75x with agent version on : 13.6.0 build 1476 (android +) All works fine, but with just one device it's not possible to make a remote connection ! and we don't know why ... this option is visible but disable (context menu) I've search but nothing found for to ENABLE again this setting ... Anyone have an idea ? thanks
