Hi, We are facing an issue where the mobile agents are updated automatically. Recently, we updated our console to 15.6.6 and after that, we started observing this issue. In the earlier versions, we never came across this, and after the upgrade, the agents update automatically. Has anyone else faced the same issue, and how can we fix this? We do not want the agents to update automatically on the devices

Hi, we have an on prem installation of mobicontrol in the newest version.I have to get rid of the "Certificate for this server is invalid" on our devices when opening the mobicontrol agent Application Catalog. As long as this connection between agent and server is not trusted, my apps published via policy won't install automatically. I've put a root certificate on the device and the server, but still getting this message. Can anyone give me an advice how to fix this?

Could the out-of-contact feature in SOTI MobiControl be used to retrieve and restore the APN settings on a disconnected device that has lost its APN configuration?
Hello. We have the Mobisys MSB3 app configured as enterprise app. In the app policy we configured the profiles in the Managed App Config. Everything works at first, the devices get the app with the right configuration, but after 1 day the profiles are gone, and the app reverts to a configuration we had in the past. Before using enterprise app source, we had it in managed google play store. We switch to enterprise app source because somehow, we had issues with the app getting updated from google play store (even though we setted the profile for Managed Google Play to never update). The managed google play app policy is not assigned to the devices (only the enterprise app), so i'm not sure what can be the problem here. Maybe a left over configuration from this version? As a workaround, we uninstall the app from the devices, then it gets reinstalled again with the right configuration, but this is quite annoying to do everyday. Devices in use: Zebra TC52/53/8300, ET51/ET40. Android version: 10, 11, 13 Soti Mobicontrol version:15.6.6.1010 on prem
Hello, I'm trying to enroll Android devices (EDA52) offline to onpremise server. Already gave up on QR enrollment as that way the device tries to connect to Google services first no matter what I try. So now I'm trying a workaround... I setup the device manually, connect it to our offline machine wifi and sideload the agent via cable. So far so good. But when I try to enroll through the agent and my enrollment link, it creates work profile instead of work managed device. The device is in correct group, but no soti profiles are pushed to it as those are for work managed devices. Basically no matter what I try, it just does not work as I would expect. IT security will not let us open the wifi even that little bit.
Recently I began upgrading our devices from Android 10 to Android 12 and made necessary preparations for devices to use Velocity File Assistant. I noticed that having file assistant on android 10 devices caused issues so I decided to wait until the entire department was upgraded before putting file assistant on the devices and considering the wldep file stayed in the correct location after the upgrade it was not immediately necessary. Over the weekend I learned that the previously employed admin had a rule in place to kill greenscreen each Saturday, deleting the wldep file and using file sync to grab it again. As Android 11 introduced new strict policies this file sync rule did not work so I was scrambling to resolve this issue from home OTA which we did by installing Velocity File Assistant through SOTI. Today I am working to ensure this does not occur this weekend and noticed that Velocity File Assistant only moves the file once despite what is listed on the invanti support page here https://help.ivanti.com/wl/help/en_US/Velocity/2.1/admin/file-assistant.htm. What I have gathered so far is that I use file sync rule to place the wldep file in /Download/com.wavelink.velocity. If I freshly install Velocity File Assistant and grant it permissions upon first launch, the file moves as intended. If I then delete the file from /Android/data/com.wavelink.velocity/files using script wipeapplication com.wavelink.velocity or manually delete it then I reboot Velocity all I get is demo mode. The only time I have been able to move this file after wiping velocity is by uninstalling and reinstalling Velocity File Assistant. Operations is insistent that they want the program cleared each Saturday as they have had complications in the past that I am told this fixed so I would appreciate some help if possible!
I would like to be able to rename Android Zebra TC devices that have been relocated to particular groups based on IP subnet rules. I need the new device name to contain 3 variables. Group name (ex. VAMAR3), the device type (this will always be RF for our organization), and the last 6 characters for the network assigned hostname. I am able to rename the devices to the complete %HOSTNAME% macro (android-6458060d3fff70bb.xxxxx.net in this case), but I have not been able to find a way to select the 6 last characters or set the rest of the variables needed. The complete name on this example would be VAMAR3RFff70bb. Again, I want to do this for each device when they get relocated based on the IP. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Hi, We're managing Dual sims in the simcard settings manager on the phone. However i was wondering if this is also possible via sending a script to the device. It happens that our end users need to take out sim 2 and switch to a different phone for the evening. Upon inserting the simcard again, we have to manually go back to the simcard settings manager to setup sim 2 for only calls. It would make it efficienter if this could be done with a script sending to the device.
I have a question understanding app policies. I created an app policy including an apk file with deployment Mandatory and a config (app source = Enterprise). On the device under configuration I see that the policy is asigned. My understanding was, that the app will be automatically installed with the app policy set... but it doesn't :-(. I than tried to install the app via package and only set the config via policy. Result app installed config doesn't. Am I doing anything wrong?
