Hi all, We've a customer who had a couple of TC21 devices sent to Zebra for repair, when it left it was an Android 10, and when it returned, an Android 11. Before it left the time and battery percentage were displayed in the notification bar, see image with.png. But now it is not displayed, see image without.png. We've also lost the Home and Recent Apps soft buttons. The devices are all in the same folder and so have the same lock down settings/feature control etc. And when switching to Admin Mode (out of the lockdown) everything displayed as expected. Agent Version 15.3.0. Build 1006 * Have to use imagination, image upload not working

When using an older, static html lockdown template it is possible to display notifications as one of the menu items. https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.5/en/console/configurations/profiles/configurations/categories/restrictions/lockdown_notifications.html Are there any plans to bring this capability to the newer, dynamic templates?
Hello We want to use the lockdown mode. I have a question about this and perhaps you can help me. Here, for example, I have 4 placeholders for programmes. <li><A href ="<MCLink0>"><img src="<MCExeIcon0>" onerror="this.style.display='none'" /><div class="txt"><MCDISP0></div></a></li><li><A href ="<MCLink1>"><img src="<MCExeIcon1>" onerror="this.style.display='none'" /><div class="txt"><MCDISP1></div></a></li><li><A href ="<MCLink2>"><img src="<MCExeIcon2>" onerror="this.style.display='none'" /><div class="txt"><MCDISP2></div></a></li><li><A href ="<MCLink3>"><img src="<MCExeIcon3>" onerror="this.style.display='none'" /><div class="txt"><MCDISP3></div></a></li> My question now is, what do I have to do so that MCLink0 remains empty and the programme comes to MCLink1? Can I control this via Lockdown - Device Control - Custom Home Screen?
Hi there !i'm currently deploying a new batch of 20 TC21 for a customer with Android 11.On some of them, after having installed MobiControl agent + Plugin and registered them, i have a status of the Profile Deployment on "Partially installed" ("Installé Partiellement" in french). If i'm looking in details, the Lockdown option in in status "Install Failed", no problem with the 'Authentication'.On some of the TC21 in error, i was able to finally deployed the Profile correctly after one or two resets of the Handheld. But on 3 of them, no way to do it. I don't understand why i had this error on some TC21, and why on some others, everything went fine ?Thanks for your help.See screenshots attached :)Best regards
Hi All, Is there a way to add the "Settings" button to the lockdown home screen on a Samsung Device? I could not find what should I type to "Program" line when adding a new shortcut. Thank you in advance!
Hello Guys, We wanted to display information about use the SOTI surf instead of our core app which on lockdown screen. How we can add this information on lockdown? like html form adding information. so when user click or try to open that app so they will get information about they need to use SOTI surf instead of that app.
Hi, I followed this page to allow file transfer USB when the device is in kiosk mode:https://discussions.soti.net/discussions/set-ptp-as-usb-default-mode So I added the following line in the template: <A href ="<MCLink0>" style="visibility: hidden">USB</a> Then added the App-ID : Launch://com.android.settings/com.android.settings.deviceinfo.UsbModeChooserActivity I also changed the lockdown type to native and enabled all options except "home button" and "full device lockdown" it was working but it doesn't work anymore, I think, since the update of the agent. Agent version : 15.2.1.1058Device: Datalogic Memor10
Hi, I am playing with the dynamic template in hopes of coming up with a solution to resolve an issue we are having with kiosks at the moment. We are actively migrating our devices from one version of our application to a newer release which have different package IDs. It's become very cumbersome to build and maintain 2 different profiles per customer device grouping and swapping them once we know an app has been updated. If the profile swap doesn't happen or if we don't know a customer has migrated apps, they will then have a kiosk with no apps present until someone manually unassigns/assigns the profiles properly. I was hoping to utilize the dynamic HTML template and tweek it where I could add both application package IDs into the lockdown and the template would only display a link to an app if it actually exists on the device. I wasn't sure if anyone had experimented with a similar solution or had any other ideas. Thanks
Hi, We have some Unitech HT730 mobile android barcode scanners, they are running Android 10, and are registered as Android Enterprise. We are running a native lockdown but for some reason in lockdown mode the barcose scanner system service doesn't start, we have to go into admin mode and then start it, then back into user mode. We could not run the scanner service directly as its not designed to be run directly. Our supplier has supplied an app called Unitech USS launcher, which if run in admin mode works fine and starts the scanner service, but if run using the package id in lockdown mode does nothing. I have confirmed we are using the correct package ID as if I run a script containing start com.unitech.usslauncher it opens, but if in lockdown mode it doesn't. What am I missing please?
Looking to see if anyone else knows the other command strings for pulling up the "Special Permissions" for apps, in particular MobiControl, such as this one: start activity com.android.settings/.Settings$OverlaySettingsActivity This one in particular brings up the "Draw over other apps" Setting menu and we are using this assigned to a Launch:// button on the Dynamic Lockdown (which is set to Native). I am trying to write a script that will open the 5 permissions that MobiControl is requesting but can not automatically set - Draw Over Other Apps Manage External Storage Write Settings Notification Access Usage Stats Currently when the notification from MobiControl comes up after the initial installation, sometimes pressing the MobiControl Notification will NOT bring you to the corresponding menu and the user will have to exit out of Lockdown then go to settings to manually change these. While its a shame that these permissions can not be set automatically I know it is a limitation Android has implemented. The end goal that we are trying to reach would be a single button that would bring up the settings menu one by one so the user can set them THEN change the Lockdown to one that does not have that button any longer.
Currently have used LockDown to setup a browser shortcut. The browser is shown on the Kiosk screen and opens Chrome to a JotForm. The JotForm asks the user(after clicking on a form) "Add Forms to you home screen?" Clicking "Yes" adds this form to the tablet's homepage. How do I get it to add to the LockDown screen instead?
Looking to add a button that would run a MobiControl script to the lockdown screen, this script would reach out to MobiControl and install a specific package. The use case is as follows: we have two packages that contain of our proprietary app but two different versions, Im looking to make it so people that are testing the versions can press a button that would run a script to uninstall the currently installed package of the app and install the selected package without leaving the lockdown screen
Looking to see if anyone has come up with a way to add a "Folder" or "Application Stack" that the end user can press and see more options on the lockdown screen. Im trying to reduce the amount of clutter on the main lockdown screen and app shortcuts together
