I want my logo to really just be the header on my lock screen. How can I do this?
We have a number of devices that are running with the lockdown kiosk enabled but we need to be able to use Teamviewer QS for troubleshooting/configuration of the 1 specific APK that is used on the devices. Teamviewer QS works like it should when the kiosk is disabled but as soon as we re-enable kiosk mode the Teamviewer remote session only displays a black screen. What do I need to configure/set up to allow for a teamviwer QS session to be run properly with kiosk mode enabled?
Hello, I'm facing an issue trying to automate edge and other browser (cannot use SOTI surf for this sadly..) cache cleaning. i have seen a tons of post regarding cache cleaning but mostly using wipeapplication. Something that we cannot use at all. Too much troubles caused by the total wipe. Is there anyway to have a script ? Seen DDMOD@SOTI saying that it was on the roadmap Any news or any other ideas. Automatic script/Button on the lockdown all accepted at this point.. Thanks in advance,
We have a client which has 10 devices, 3 of which we've enrolled in MobiControl. They are enrolled into a profile which uses lockdown, these are Android Enterprise devices running Android 10 (Zebra WT6300 with RS5100 bluetooth finger scanners). The client is reporting that the pairing is much less stable on the enrolled devices, i.e. the pairing only lasts a few minutes and then needs to be paired again. Has anyone experienced something similar? And if so, did you find out what was causing this?
Hello Community! I have Soti MobiControl, version 15.4.2.1020 in use. I have a requirement to manage and lockdown Raspberry PIs and Ubuntu servers via Soti.According to the documentation only Ubuntu 16.04 as well as Ubuntu 18.04 are supported. I have set up 2 VMs with 16.04 & 18.04 and cannot confirm that the lockdown works for Linux. According to logs the npm packages are missing as well as electron, but they are not installed by themselves. On newer Ubuntu servers and on Raspbian 10/11 I have no chance to get the lockdown working. Has anyone done this before or is there a trick to use the build-in Lockdown from Soti? I don't want to program my own kiosk browser, because it has to work dynamically for 30 works. Thanks for your help, kind regardsMartin
Mobicontrol can display name from login shared-device with active directory. Example shared-device login with user "Jonhev@test.co" on lockdown can show display name "Jonh even" ?
I am using MobiControl v15.5.0, agent v15.1.3 with zebra MC3300x. I'm using kiosk mode, everything works fine except for one thing. When I try to enter admin mode, the device freeze for a while, as if trying to verify the password on a remote site. Hanging occurs sometimes for a few seconds sometimes for a minute sometimes for 10 minutes. Moreover, if I turn off the Internet on the device, authorization occurs instantly, and also if the network is not limited, this also happens instantly. But our company's security policy requires the network to be restricted. We gave devices access to the following URLs: sotiassistservices.soti.net notificationservices.soti.net pcsvalidator.soti.net location2.soti.net skinsapi.soti.net activate2.soti.net mobicontrolservices.soti.net agentdservice.s3.amazonaws.com our MobiControl Server But apparently something is missing, but I can not understand what exactly and why is this happening? There are no speed limits, the server is in our cloud.Can someone help with this? Can someone come across this?
Recently had a batch of Honeywell CK65's come in that were Android 10, up to this point we were using CK65's that were Android 9. It seems as though Honeywell has updated several internal components in the CK65's due to supply chain issues that don't allow you to downgrade to 9. So I'm looking to update all of our existing CK65's to 10. I did a file sync of 90.00.12 and the update went off without an issue.I came from 88.00.17 on my test unit. After the reboot, I noticed two issues.The first is that when I look at Applications under the device, they show as all of them being Uninstalled. With the one exception of the Honeywell UEMConnect software that's a mandatory installed application. The second is with the Native Lockdown mode. None of the applications will fire off.Until, I go into Administrative mode. If I just toggle between Administrative and then User. The applications will work. As soon as I reboot the device, the applications won't function until I bounce between Administrative mode and User mode. The two applications inparticular I've tested with are BasicTE and SmartTE(Staylinked). Android Agent version: 15.1.2.1075Honeywell Plugin version: 1.19.2.118
We just moved some TC75x devices from Android 7.1.2 to 8.1.0 and because of that I had to change the lockdown mode from native to activity suppression so the user can see the top bar. We are having an issue where every once and a while when pressing the yellow scan button, it is opening the recent application list and then kicks the user to the kiosk. I thought this was tied to Android 8 but it is also happening on our 7 devices where I made the lockdown change. Has anyone else experienced this?
I need to put a link in the SOTI kiosk that makes the device reboot.This is for ET51 tablets that are in a Brodit rack with the ON/OFF button only accessible with a paper clip!I created a legacy script that I named 'softreset'.I added an element to the Lockdown that does "script://softreset" , but it doesn't work.Would you have the right method to do this reboot with a Lockdown icon?
Hello We are using Zebra TC21 scanners, that we lock down via device control with authentication policy as disable lock screen As these are in production environments the supervisors have the admin password to unlock the scanners so they can perform a data storage clear of a Dynamics NAV app that occasionally goes haywire. My question is how can I set a timer that automatically reenables the agent mode after a set time or can I run a script that will re-enable it, as the supervisors sometimes forget? additionally is there a script to clear the storage for a given installed application? any help would be appreciated.
Hi, as we all know we do have a notification bubble on the top right corner of an app when there is a notification like a message or a missed call. Is there a way to enable that in a lockdown? I already tried Displaying Notifications for Lockdown Menu Items from the manual but that's not exactly what i was looking for because i'm using 10 apps on lockdown and i would like to see which app dows have a notification for me. Is there any way to retrieve passwords set for profiles which use Lockdown/Authentication? I've got full access to the MobiControl database, is it possible to recover a given password? If not, then it would be useful to be able to somehow have a "superadmin" password. We've had a few devices which were not connected to a network, and therefore couldn't fetch a new password definition, and we couldn't update the WiFi settings because we couldn't log into the device!
