We had the same issue as this post: https://discussions.soti.net/thread/enable-camera-in-lockdown where we have a custom built app that the camera would not work in when Activity Suppression was enabled but the Camera worked fine outside of it. Changing to Native resolved that issue however now Picture-in-Picture for Google Maps (at least, maybe others) is not working while in this mode. I can't see any rules in the Lockdown settings that might control this (nor anywhere else) and both features working are important to our end-users. Any advice is appreciated.
I'm not sure what I'm missing here but I'm hoping someone can help me out. Ultimately, I'm trying to add my app to an application catalog rule using the Managed Google Play Applications option. Here's what I've done. In Google Play Console I've set my organization, set the app to private, created a release for Production, uploaded the apk, and released it. Everything looks right. It says it has been released, is active, and says it is available on Google Play. The dashboard even gives me a link to view it on Google Play, though the link goes to a page that isn't found (which might be expected for a private app). When I try to add my app in MobiControl it isn't there. But I know the organization link is working correctly because I can approve apps in the managed Play Store and they show up. Does anyone have any idea what I might be missing?
We tried to apply one to Debian based device and it failed. The document for v15.0 says it requires Ubuntu only, is that still true in this version?
I am a complete novice when it comes to SOTI so apologies if I am asking for something really obvious. I have Installed the SOTI app onto CEO's BYOD iPad mini and entered the 'Enrollment ID' from SOTI MOBICONTROL > Options > Policies > Enrollment > IOS Standard. It then opens the 'SOTI Enrollment Service' screen on Safari. I enter the CEO's Active Directory username and password but it comes up with the following message: 'Sorry! Your device couldn't be enrolled. Unexpected security error occurred'. Any idea what I have missed or what settings I should check in SOTI MOBICONTROL please? Many thanks.
I have an APK file that a vendor gave me that we want to deploy. I'm getting an error when I try an upload it "Invalid application file format. Verify the integrity of the application file." APK file works fine if I do it manually on a device.
one of our customer have requirement to enroll ios devices as byod which is must have separate work container. same as android. the should able to install separate outlook app in side the work profile even there is already installed one on personal side. I read the MobiControl document about iOS enrollment and i saw that user enrolment for byod. can we achive above requirement with this method?
A back-to-basics question from me for once :-)We have an important line of business app that will often get killed (so that the user sees they need to log back in and they will lose any unprocessed work) when another of the kiosked apps is launched. The devices don't seem to be short of RAM when this happens and the "other" app can be something as basic as Google's phone app. Am I missing some obvious way to preserve the context of the line of business app? Is it as simple as changing launch://com.myapp.app to launchwithrecents://com.myapp.app (I never fully understood what this would do)... Edit: No, custom command launchwithrecents://com.myapp.app stopped the icon from doing anything at all.Our lockdown profiles currently have the "recents button" setting disabled. We're running Android 11, Native activity suppression and Mobicontrol 15.5
Is it possible to add shorcut on the android homescreen (not the lockdown) via mobicontrol ?
On android, how can I return users to the Kiosk screen that we have setup instead of them going to the application configuration screen once logging out of the application? The application is Infor Lawson MSCM. I believe if I could simply send a back arrow it would do it, but I'm not positive on that or how to try it.
Does anyone know what happens if you bind Mobicontrol to Azure/Intune for the Microsoft Office 365 integration if you press the sync button when everything is properly configured? Are all devices synced to intune? Or can you filter a certain group in Mobicontrol to sync to intune. We want to exclude MFA for an office app at Mobicontrol managed android devices. But as long as the devices are not known in intune we cannot use this as a filter. Also there are a lot of Mobicontrol devices which don't need office apps and we don't want them to be manged in both Mobicontrol and Intune.
Is there a way to enforce autologout of MS apps using the native android activity timer. We have shared devices that use MS apps, teams, outlook and another custom app that authenticates to Azure and we want to ensure that if a user forgets to log out that the device will after a period of time lapses.
I am trying to connect the API to Power Automate but I cannot seem to figure out the authentication. Has anyone else tried this before?
We are not seeing the "Wipe data/factory reset" option when initiating the Android Recovery on Samsung A7 (220T). We have modified the Factory Reset Protection to both Enabled and Disabled. Also, tried removing the Factory Reset Protection all together. Each change, we confirmed the device received the latest Profile change. Thoughts?
I am currently working with a WT6300 RF Mobile computer and we have it set in landscape mode however when using SOTI surf the application is still rotating. Do we know if there is a system in which we can stop that? While disable auto rotate does help it when it is being worn it still rotates when docked..
Hello, if we have distributed an Enterprise iOS app with an IPA file and we need to upgrade it to a new version, would I just upload this over the existing file in the App Policy? I'm pretty sure this is the case but I'm working with a third party app so have limited opportunity to test.
