Hi. We're trying to create new groups in SOTI Mobicontrol but, after some changes in Mobicontrol, we can't understand how it works anymore. We asked SOTI Support to help us with this task but they asked us to write here. We also read some help from the following links (https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.5/en/console/users/add_usergroup.html, https://soti.net/sotiidentity/help/en/users/assign_users_to_group.html, https://soti.net/sotiidentity/help/en/users/groups/add_group.html) but they are not enough for us to understand all the process. Please help us.
We're trying to enable the serial port power on a Zebra VC8300. We have created the XML file (contents below) and applied it to the device through Mobicontrol. The file gets placed on the terminal without issue but mxconfig gives an error with no further info when trying to run it. What could we be doing wrong?
I am trying to configure Honeywell CP45 devices using .xml files on the devices themselves.Before enrolling the devices into SOTI MobiControl, the ezconfig service on the Honeywell devices would automatically read and apply the settings inside of the .xml files. Unfortunately it seems as though SOTI disables the ezconfig service. My question: Would anyone know how to re-enable the ezconfig service? Or perhaps another way to automatically trigger the reading & applying Short answer (thanks to @Rafael Schäfer): 1. Hi, Can someone please explain the Honeywell contract model to me?We have a number of Honeywell CT60 and CT60XP devices.The CT60s are almost all still on Android 9 and I would like to update them to Android 11/12. The download page says that you need a contract to get the download. However, if I click on the Android 11 folder, for example, I can access the download without entering the contract. https://imgur.com/a/SbfDBxO At the same time, the Honeywell site ( https://sps.honeywell.com/us/en/support/blog/productivity/why-you-should-keep-ruggedized-android-devices-os-updated) says that updates are free. Here (https://support.honeywellaidc.com/s/article/How-to-access-Android-10-kernel-files-on-the), on the other hand, it says that you need a contract. Our units do not have this contract and are already 2-3 years old. Can I update them or not?Our dealer said that you have to sign an extra contract for just the Android software. But in the end, none of his customers are doing this because Honeywell can't control it. Hello, is there already some mechanism to apply json files (created from Zebra StageNow) the same way as it is possible with XML files with help of Soti-script command "mxconfig" ? Of course I have already tried to use mxconfig with json file....just error in log: Custom log (Mxconfig failed: /sdcard/factory11.txt) MC 15.6.3, AEDO, Zebra TC58 with A11 (OEM 11-20-08.00-RG-U01-STD-ATH-04) I know I still can use XML Files, but already preparing for the time of Android 13, there the XML files are gone. best regards Martin

Hi, I have following setup: Soti Mobicontrol: 15.5.1.1010 Zebra TC58: OEM Version 11-19-15.00-RG-U00-STD-ATH-04 Agent Version: 15.3.4.1113 I'm experiencing missing IP and MAC data fields in Dynamic Lockdown after restarting the device. Neither Lockdown nor script "notify ..." updates it. Only solution is to switch to Admin mode and then back to User mode. Anyone else experienced this?

Hello, I want to clear the cache of the google chrome and Soti Surf application at several times during the day which are not always at the same time, so I can't use scheduled tasks. I do not wish to use lockdown. Here are the commands: wipeapplication net.soti.surfwipeapplication com.android.chromestart net.soti.surf Is it possible to create an application with package studio or the user will be able to launch an application (APK) to launch this script? HeysanWe have seen one of our clients, also using Soti MobiControl, have added buttons to the lockdown screen. When they press the button, a new page with new buttons or apps opens up. If the press back, it goes back to the main page. Have anyone here had success adding subpages to the lockdown screen, that opens when you press a button on the screen or anything similar? We have a client who could benefit from such a solution. On the main screen they have a standard lockdown profile from the standard template. They have 9 apps but would like a button to access a manuals page, where we add links to open pdfs on the device directly. (using the file command)We don't allow them access to the file manager on the device, which btw is a Zebra TC26.
I have critical application updates that depend on a config setting stored in an xml file. The vendor generated xml file doesn't always store the needed field on the same line, and I am constantly having to create new custom data queries to avoid deploying to the wrong workstations.
Hello folks, We have a population of users in production that is asking us to disable the lockscreen on their tablets. But i don't know any parameters in features control or lockdown that is able to touch at these parameters. Do you have an idea on how to do that ?
I have a Zebra ET45. I'm using SOTI Version: 15.2.3.1033. I've enrolled it with enterprise profile. For other devices it is working. But for ET45, profiles are not getting installed. Enrolled device I can see but I'm not able to figure out why Mangement Type is Unknown. What could be wrong? Any idea? It doesn't even say that profile installation failed etc.
All of a sudden, the profiles list is empty in the soti webconsole. Colleagues in the same group can still see them. I've already tried to reset the console (thought there could be some hidden filter) but still nothing. The funny thing is, I've created the profiles and now suddenly I' can't (or may not) see them anymore. Checked my permissions => still admin. Anyone an idea? Greetings,Karel.
