Hi everyone, We recently deployed 30 Android devices. They have been enrolled while being on Android OS 9. Some end-users updated their devices and now Mobi app doesn't connect anymore to our DS. The reason is that our mobicontrol server have a self-sign certificate with SHA1 and Android 10 doesn't support it. We have an inventory of Windows Mobile CE 6.5 (which don't support TLS 1.2) and we don't wanna update this certificate yet because it would disconnect all those PC pockets. I've pushed a script to disable the system OS update but I believe this script only last 30 days on Android Enterprise devices. Is pushing the script again after 30 days will extend the policy ? Thanks for your help,
Hi there, we are using an Enterprise Profile with Google Managed Account. So far its working well we can add apps to app catalog and they appear in the app catalog on the smartphone. My expectation was that they will be automatically downloaded and installed when i mark them as "Mandatory" but they aren't. Is there a way to do this automatically? We are using Kioskmode too, so they are not able to get to the application catalog without an administrator.
We are looking at providing phones to run a very simple web app, so the requirements for the device are very low. I was considering looking at Android One devices to simplify things, however I was wondering if there were any brands or models that worked particularly well with Mobicontrol? For example, having the most compatible features, allowing easy deployment, etc We're looking in the region of <£200 Thanks
Hello, We are using lockdown on Android Enterprise. Is there anyway to set it up so that the icons can have a unique link for each different device? Or would we have to set up multiple unique profiles?
Hello, We are testing using managed Google Play on an owned device, however when we try and add calendar events to Google Calendar we get an error: No Calendars have been synced with this device yet. Ideally we would like to set up reminders at the same time each day for the user to follow a link and complete a questionnaire. Does anyone know how to get this working with a managed Google account?
We are having problems getting accurate results in the "Last Connect Dates" and "Agent Checkin Time" graphs within SOTI. It appears that we are only seeing this problem on Android Enterprise devices as we have the same graphs setup for Windows devices and get accurate results. Android Enterprise devices show as "Unknown" on each graph even though this information is available on the device details page. We setup columns in the dashboard to show this information per each device which shows accurate information but business is requesting this in a graphical form. It would be nice to be able to use the graphs that already exist on the dashboard for this purpose. I have included screenshots as reference. Thank you, Justin Pratt
We have recently upgraded to MC 14.4.7.1053 and I was excited to take advantage of the Android Enterprise features but from what I see at this point it looks like it's really beneficial for BYOD and not COBO (Company Owned, Business Only) unless I'm missing something. The work profile doesn't really work for us, we are still wanting to enable a lockdown screen, feature controls and so on. One of the features I'm really wanting to take advantage of is the Disable Factory Reset Protection. We have an issue with our employees adding personal Google accounts on our phones then they are factory resetting them making the phone useless. Any thoughts, comments or suggestions are welcome.
I have a user with an Android Enterprise Samsung device that seemly has his passcode or pattern changed everyday. Of course this leads him to call our IT department and we have to Reset Passcode for him to get into the phone. He is the only user out of 300 with the same phone and profiles that is having this issue. I'm fairly certain its him who is changing the passcode (could be for different reasons). I'd like to know if its possible to track the passcode change OR to lockdown the passcode and so a user can't change it to something else.
Hello Is it possible to configure WiFi Hotspot for a Samsung tablet on Android Enterprise? Thanks,
Hello, i need to send my own .apk to a device recommended for google enterprise (motorola g8 plus), it´s assigned as device owner mode, but i don´t know how to approve enterprise apps, i´ll be doing fine with googled managed apps from the playstore.
Hi guys, When I enroll Samsung XCovers 4s with Android Enterprise agent - I cant browse them afterwards via USB from pc - or I can actually see the device under My Computer, but it's empty and I dont have the option on the device for "Use USB For: File transer" No restrictions are set. Hi, I'm trying to push an .apk to a couple of devices using an application catalaog and uploading the .apk as an enterprise application. I am also pushing an approved application from the Google Play Store in the same application catalog. The approved Google Play Store application has downloaded onto my device and is visible in the Application Catalog local on the device outside of the kiosk. However, the enterprise application is not listed anywhere. Am I missing something or have I done something wrong? Thanks Josh.
Anyone encountered problems with devices not receiving custom attributes? Is there a way to resend them? CheckIn does not help. Zebra CC6000Agent - 14.1.5.1059 Version: 14.3.4.1087
Hello Everyone, currently i am struggling with the work profile on android. First some infos about MC and MC Agent:MC Version: 14.4.4.1045 (cloud hosted by SOTI)MC Agent: 14.1.5 Build 1059 (Android Enterprise Agent from GoogePlay) So we are using Samsung S10 devices. They are up to date with firmware/security updates. The devices are configured as "Managed Work Profile" in MobiControl. Everything works fine except one thing. After i enrolled the devices into MC i am no longer able to install any Apps via apk's out of my work profile (container). They don't have any profiles assigned which could disable the installation from unknown sources. In the feature control i am able to allow the installation from unknown sources. But this count only for Fully Managed devicesand not Managed Profile devices. So does it mean i am not allowed to install any apks at all because there could be an app who could "attack" the work profile? Is there still a way to allow the installation? Or am i doomed? Cause my useres should be allowed to install anything theywant. It is up in their responsibility when they do something wrong.
Hi Running 14.1.4 On Android+ you had the option within Feature Control to disable airplane mode. There appears to be no such option within Android Enterprise Feature Control Is there a script to do the same thing I can utilise? Also is there a way (A+ and AE) to hide/disable the ability to switch off Mobile Data. Thanks
