SOTI Mobi update error

Hello, I want to check install proccess and features, but I'm getting this error:

My collegue installed the newest version few days ago. From 15.6 to 2024.0.1.1020.

From that point there occured some alerts in console about Search function. And missing service.

I know SOTI swap logic with searching in the newest version but something is wrong with our install right now.

We had the same error some months ago.

This was the solution:

  1. Open regedit
  2. navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
  3. Right click Uninstall key and click 'Find'
  4. Search for MobiControl
  5. Delete the key (FOLDER) that it finds
  6. Re-run the installer

Hi Libor, 

did you or your colleagues open port 5500 for the new version of MobiControl? 
The directory of the new search service also changed. 
You could uninstall MobiControl and install the version again. 
Just saved your database before.

Thank you for reaching out on SOTI Pulse.

Have you installed Java 17, which is required for installing the latest version? Also, have you verified if port 5500 is open, as suggested by Leon?

Hi all,

both suggestions helped.

I could reinstall program after regedit tutorial and opening port too.
