Soti XTrem Hub -- Enterprise Appstore

Hello everyone,

we have a Problem to deploy an app by the Enterprise Appstore in combination with AppConfig.

We have an App Policie which are installing the Cisco AnyConnect Client on the devices.

The App Policie upload the APK to the Xtrem Hub and the devices are installing the app as it should be, "but" the configured APP Config are missing. Devices which are installing the App over the deployment server are installing the app too, but with the correct app config.

Is there a option that all devices are installing the app over the dp server and not from the xtrem hub, and why the xtrem hub did not forward the app config.

thx mark

An XTreme Hub node reduces overall network bandwidth & loading of MobiControl deployment server by caching common files (especially very big ones) for exchange to multiple devices located within the same geographical region or network access point.  . This works fine for file-sync policies or simple app/data deployment within .pcg package.  However, the AppConfig managed-configuration framework supports DYNAMIC parameter re-configuration after the initial app binary deployment.  As unlimited number of extremely small-sized managed parameters can be associated with each  AppConfig app,  managing/coordinating them between different XTreme Hub nodes sounds too heavy/complicated and inefficient in terms of bandwidth saved.

Hi Raymond,

thx for your answer, i know for what the XtremHub are and how it works, in summary we are using 150 Hubs in diffrent locations and networks.

the problem is that you can't prevent mc from putting files from the enterprise playstore there and also trying to install it from there if the device is in the same subnet unless you disable it completely, which we don't want because of large files like firmware etc. unfortunately the app config is not given this way.

Hi Mark,

Are both apps in your screenshots apps available and selected to be deployed from Managed Google-Play store in your app policies?    I checked and could not find com.ptv.navigation.app when searching from Google-Play store in Europe.
