MobiControl on Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 - The app asks to configure work profile and uninstall app

Hi,

I'm having some issues with Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 running Android 11 and MobiControl. I installed the MobiControl app and enrolled the device. Then the app ask me to enable work profile and uninstall MobiControl app.

I would rather use the MobiControl app and avoid work profiles. What am I doing wrong here? Are there any up to date documentation on setting up MobiControl on Samsung tablets?

If I ignore MobiControl when it ask to enable work profile, I can see the device as online in the MobiControl web console, and I can remote view, but not control. I can not deploy any packages or profiles.

How did you enrol your device onto your MobiControl?  I suspect that your device has been enrolled as work-profile mode of AE platform, or your device does not have the required KNOX library

What are the version and build numbers of your device agent and of your device firmware?

Please check what are the active MDM api's reported the configuration tab of your device agent app or from the device information tab for the device in your web-console.

Please also check if there is any Samsung KNOX library on your device by checking the firmware version in the About tab of your device's Settings app.

Finally, Soti recently release new device agent app that support a new kind of remote-control using Accessibility API's.  Though I haven't fully tried that out, it may be a solution for you if the lack of full remote-control is your major concern.
